I can't recommend enough the Pret-a-PorTEA experience at the Maybourne Hotel. Not only do they have one of the best high teas in town, but they also went above and beyond to accommodate my birthday during Oscar weekend no less! Leo, who works there, is a gem. I had friends RSVPing and then cancelling left and right, and he was able to adjust my reservation without any complaint. The setting is charming. A violinist plays throughout the experience. Sandwiches and desserts were phenomenal. Wait staff was on their A game! And what we couldn't finish we brought home in these adorable to-go boxes in the shape of purses. Amazing, amazing time! I had such an amazing day this past week! From the exceptional Valet service upon arriving, to the greeting from the Front Desk agents, the delivery of champagne to the room upon arrival, and the endless amenities of the hotel. I decided to treat myself with a spa treatment and I was in heaven. This is the third time that I book a service and I've yet to be disappointed- 20/10. One thing that they can change or possibly make a note for future upgrades is the co-ed mineral pool area; the tiles are coming off the walls and the dust that comes with it makes a "cinnamon" like powder within the bubbles it forms. I respected the spa's no phone within that area policy but honestly that's the only thing I would recommend to upgrade, especially for the prices the spa services charge. read more

What went well? Everything!!! From the moment we drove up and the valet people took our car to the spa where we were greeted with enthusiasm and understanding as we were late due to LA traffic! We were shown to our lockers and the women's lounge area that was well stocked up with gluten free choices. The blueberry muffins were to die for! Fresh summer fruits and nuts and dried fruits and flourless cookies and regular cookies were offered. Great variety of teas! Fruit infused water and boxed water and a beautiful linen napkin engraved with M! The massage room was dimly lit with a calm, meditative music. My therapist was superb, concentrating on my lower back that needed help and my tight shoulders. We had the best meal in the magnesium pool area. Last Friday, my two friends and I went to The Maybourne Beverly Hills for their Red Carpet Collection tea to celebrate a birthday. We have gone to tea at The Peninsula & The Huntington's Rose Garden tea in the past, but decided to try something different. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Initially I was put off by being charged a 20% gratuity when we booked the reservation. Then once we arrived, the setting was not at all what we expected. The cafe was more like a typical breakfast cafe at a low end hotel. When seated, we had to ask for a new glass as one of the glasses were dirty. We had to ask for teaspoons once we were served tea and had to flagged down a waiter to get a refill. The food was okay but I found the bread on the tea sandwiches stale. The Red Carpet desserts were very cute but didn't really make up for the rest. When we used the rest room prior to our departure, the garbage cans were overflowing with garbage and the hand towel basket looked like it hadn't been emptied in a while. Not what I expect at a 5 star luxury hotel. Then at valet we had to wait a considerable amount of time after asking 3 different people about our car. Given the number of other options for a high end tea, I will not be returning to The Maybourne in the future read more

I had a wedding at the Maybourne back in October 18, 2025. And I have to say that it was an absolutely amazing venue overall. It is absolutely beautiful from the terrace to the indoor ballroom. I would highly recommend getting drapes as it makes a huge difference in achieving a "lavish" feel for the ballroom. We had multiple hotel rooms that weekend, as well as a rehearsal dinner at the Terrace restaurant, which was also a great place to have dinner the Friday before, overlooking the garden. This place is also teeming with celebrities, at our wedding night Amanda Seyfried, Dwyane Wade, and Olivia Wilde were walking around and I got a photo with Amanda Seyfried. It was awesome. Most importantly, though, our event coordinator, Alex Palmer was absolutely the best. She gave us a great initial tour which sold us on the venue, she answered our millions of questions before we accepted, she helped us out with a ton of coordination, and on the day-of she was with us every step of the way. Helping us with all the big things, but even all the small things like helping fix my wife's vale during photoshoots and coming up with great poses. She genuinely cares about her clients, and we can feel that working with her. I cannot speak highly enough about Alex. She is absolutely a great asset to the Maybourne team. She is one of the main reasons we felt comfortable changing our wedding venue to the Maybourne with only 1.5 months to go :). She made the process seamless and easy as can be. I do have constructive feedback on for the venue, however. For our wedding, we were not allowed to use an indoor cold sparkler machine and a fog machine. Both of these devices are 100% safe for indoor use. One can put their hand directly over the sparkler machine with no harm, and the fog machine releases water vapor, similar to a humidifier. I feel like management could have done a bit more deeper research and allowed these devices for our wedding. There are truly no reason to prevent the use of these devices that are designed to operate indoors. That's all. Aside from that, like I said, the venue was great, Alex was amazing, and I look forward to using our one year complimentary anniversary room credit in a year's time :). This review is only for the pool experience. I booked two lounge chairs on ResortPass. Once at the pool (or on the app) NOBODY mentioned the 20% service fee they charge on food + the lounge chairs that you already pay tax and service fees on, on ResortPass. The pool attendant told us it's a "known issue" and they're "having a meeting about it soon". So, we basically paid $500 (including $30 valet) to sit at a pool for 2 hours and eat some of the most mid-tier pool food I've ever had. Somewhat tasteless smoothies with a paper straw, fries were crunchy but tasted like they were fried in dirty oil, the BLAT sandwich was all bread and only one tiny slice of bacon. Caesar salad was limp and the dressing didn't even taste like Caesar dressing. Croutons were soggy. Pizza oven was out of order which they didn't mention immediately either, and half the menu is pizza. A very disappointing experience and almost ruined my birthday. Will be contacting them again about these predatory and sneaky "service charges" and additional taxes. I basically paid $130 in taxes/fees for $75 worth of cafeteria food. If they know it's a "problem" then stop charging it. Disturbing. The view is nice, I guess. read more

The Maybourne is one of the most expensive hotels in all of Los Angeles. I mean it is so pricy that had our client not booked us there, we could not have gone. This place is going to cost you over $1,200 a night with a bunch of fees. They do have a special right now if you book 3 nights you get one free. I have no idea how long this will last. If I could I would live there. It is amazing. Whatever you want they will deal with it. The place is great for a honeymoon or a very special occasion. If you are traveling from over seas and have the money, this is where you want to be. It is in the heart of Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive is so close. The shopping and dinning in this are can not be beat. This place is huge. It has about 200 spectacular rooms and over 50 suites. The service is exceptional and the hotel is kept up to date and spotless. The rooms are so comfortable you will not want to leave. Whatever you want there, they will take care of it. Have time for the Opera in Downtown LA or a musical in Hollywood, they will deal with it. Reservations for eateries are easy to get when the call comes from the Maybourne. There is nothing they leave to chance and if you don't speak English, they have people who will speak your language. The service, again, is just perfect. It really is. You will want for nothing. The Terrace is a great eatery. It is outdoors and you can actually see a star or two at night. It is Mediterranean-influenced entrées with locally sourced ingredients. We had dinner almost every night. The Maybourne Café is all-day casual dining. They have a selection of juices, coffees, teas and pastries to have there or get to go. They also have other items and again, the service is wonderful. Dante which is also in New York is super fine dinning. It is located on the 9th floor rooftop. The food is the best and it is fresh and cooked perfectly. Now this is going to set you back a few hundred for two, but it is worth every penny. We got to eat there once. We will be back just to dine there. The Maybourne Bar is pretty and fun. It is a full bar and very nice. The Cigar and Whiskey Bar has some of the most exclusive collections of whiskey and cigars. We did not go there, but it sure is pretty. They have spa services that are great. Again, whatever you want they have or will get it for you. I really would like to move there, but I would run out of money pretty fast. They are just so nice and kind. read more

Beautiful modern hotel in Beverly Hills. This hotel used to be called the Montage, and a couple years ago it had a complete renovation by its new owners. The lobby is very luxurious in a minimal way. There is a nice collection of art on the walls, a large spa, and a cabana-lined rooftop pool with a panoramic view of Beverly Hills. The reception was welcoming and I found the suite that was booked to be extremely comfortable and large with a nice view of Wilshire Boulevard. The main bathroom of the suite was gorgeous with a lot of marble and mosaic over the bathtub and there was a second smaller bathroom as well. The wardrobe closet was enormous and a generous size for 2 people to use for storing luggage and to hang everything up. The location next door to the best luxury shopping on Rodeo Drive and the department stores on Wilshire Blvd. is great. And you also have all the fantastic restaurants on Beverly Drive and Canon to enjoy as well. Spago is only a short walk nearby. The little park located in the hotel's outdoor courtyard is popular with locals and tourist alike, and it's a nice place to have a tea or a cup of coffee on a nice day. The price for lodging here is quite high, but it's a bit more luxurious and new compared to the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire next-door which, while a legendary classic hotel, is in need of a remodel. If you want a centrally located five star hotel in the heart of the Beverly Hills 'golden triangle', where you can safely walk to local establishments with ease, this is a great choice. read more

The Maybourne Is an elegant hotel and café off of Canon Drive and is situated in beautiful long courtyard with fountains where you can sit and dine from a number of cafés, including the Maybourne Cafe where we ate. I had the crab salad, which had lots of crab and was delicious. My clients ordered salmon and a salad which they also enjoyed. You could dine either at a table or at a long row of couches as well as inside. The hotel sparkles everywhere you look and is beautifully maintained. The extra care you receive at The Maybourne Cafe is exquisite. Everyone that works there is amazing. We love coming here and we always have the best time! My favorite dishes are the Claridge Bespoke Tea, the Baja Fish Tacos, and the afogado (so cute with the donuts). Definitely one of the highlights at The Maybourne Beverly Hills is the Christmas Season. This place is a must at Christmas. The Maybourne goes all out, with the most spectacular Christmas Tree and decorations. It is absolutely stunning and not to be missed. The Christmas decorations and lights that grace the Beverly Canon Gardens is stunning every year! I would like to give a shout out to Yoshi at the hotel Front Desk. He provided a very memorable experience. I went to the Front Desk about a year ago to set up a tour of The Spa. I was truly impressed, actually blown away, by the level of service, and the warm attentive hospitality I received from Yoshi. He took care of every last detail of my request, ensured that I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of The Spa. So much to the point, that I've booked several treatments at The Spa since then. If you are looking for a facial, I recommend Sachiko at The Spa. She has an exquisite, delicate, and well trained touch. If you are looking to reclaim that youthful glow on your face, I recommend the Yumi Anti Aging Hydra Derm Facial with Sachiko. Pure Bliss! I would also like to recognize Marilyn at The Spa Front Desk. Always such a warm welcome, and takes the time to add that personal touch. And always wants to ensure each visit is as special as the last. The Spa is all indoors. Sometimes it can get a little busy. I like to also sit outdoors in the beautiful Beverly Canon Gardens. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Another favorite retreat at the hotel is the rooftop. I love spending lazy afternoons here. It's so relaxing and I always feel recharged. I love the pool. It's so pretty. Dante's Rooftop Restaurant has spectacular views of the Hollywood Hills. It's a must see at night with all the lights. Simply gorgeous. Some of my favorites are the Faroe Island Salmon, the Pappardelle al Ragu, and the Cosmojito. All fabulous! Justin and Ryan are amazing! They really take the time to add that personal touch, and make sure you enjoy your time at Dante's Rooftop Restaurant. The decor is utterly unique, and really adds to the memorable experience. We have stayed at the Maybourne before and when it was the Montage. Each visit was wonderful. This trip we were staying for one night and were upgraded because of American Express. We checked in and the front desk person showed us to our room. Once we had a chance to look around, it became clear that this room was less than adequate, Very small, visually nothing impressive at all. We paid over $1000 for the night. I went back to the front desk and their solution was to put it in their records that we didn't like this room type.
