I wasn't a fan of the door opening very often since it was only one door separating our room and the rest of the street (with me and my husband basically naked except for a thin sheet covering us) and there was a fair amount of overhearing conversations on the other side but I understand they are extremely popular. Definitely recommend booking in advance - I found their phone number on WhatsApp and made a reservation there without any problems whatsoever (ie no language barrier).

Within 5 minutes I could tell that was a mistake, I should have booked the longer one, my mind was blown by how great it was, my wife loved it too. Just a few weeks later, on returning to Cancun I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Carlos again, and no words can capture how great I feel right now. I feel like I want to tell the world about this man, he has a true gift. I left the place feeling like the price I paid plus the tip was too little for what I was given. Now just need to convince my wife to let me go again in 2 days time before we leave to go back home. My advice, call now, book Carlos for 90 minutes and then comment below to tell me how great it was. If Carlos is not available, book with the other lady because my wife's mind was blown as well. It's not a natural type of fragrance you might find in Aesop or Aveda products. It smells more like candy. My rosacea came back with vengeance afterward. I got a pedicure, it was okay. Not worth $70. The massage therapists do all the treatments, massage, facial, and pedicure. This is not something I'm used to, especially for a spa environment. I prefer to see someone that has a speciality and mastered that specialty. There was a a lot of confidence with the massages but I could tell the different therapists I had were not "confident" in doing the other services.

At first, my masseuse seemed like she knew what she was doing, but things became uncomfortable once she asked me to flip onto my back. She lifted the sheet so high that I could see her face, which completely defeated the purpose of being covered. After that, there was little to no actual massage done on the front of my body. At one point, she stretched my legs in a way that exposed my private areas, and later she lowered the sheet too far and briefly exposed my breasts. For a large portion of the session, she mainly rubbed oil on my body without any real technique or pressure. There was a serious lack of professionalism throughout the experience. While there is often a misconception that Americans have endless money, we still work hard for what we earn and should be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor without feeling uncomfortable or taken advantage of. I bought the deep tissue massage. She asked me where I wanted her to focus more on. I actually had to ask the therapist to lighten up her pressure because I could not handle it even though I usually can and she accommodated just fine. The only annoying thing is they ask you if you would like to buy their oils before starting the massage. After the massage is over, they provide you with a fruit drink and a massage chair. The lady next to me on the massage chair said this is the best spa she's ever been to and she's been to many. She said I was lucky this was my first spa experience. This spa also had a hair and nail salon. I actually used their nail salon to remove my gel-X nails since I did not have time get them off when arriving to my home back in the states. My transportation time for the airport changed to an earlier time so I told my nail lady I had to leave in an hour. She accommodated and took off my fake nails just in time without damaging my real nails! I made sure to tip her real well for doing such an awesome job with limited time.
