I paid more here than I paid even at a Fulham game... a home Premier League game in London! I'm not sure why this is the case and believe me it's the only reason it scores a 4 instead of 5. Because this is an absolutely remarkable stadium. State of the art, beautiful, magnificent, with intense and loud support from the rabid Coventry fans. I love it. It's a great place to watch concerts too. It's twice the stadium Highfield Road was. But as long as the prices are this high, I can't give them more than 4. The last game I saw here was 2011, and I'm hoping to go back to another one in 2016... if I can afford it. It reminds me of Manchester City's stadium, believe it or not. It's capable of a great atmosphere (the team will need to get back to the Prem for that, they're 2 tiers down), it's held rock concerts like the awesome Bon Jovi an the awful Nickelback and someday hopefully me, and it's a cute sky blue like the team. It looks great inside and out like my gf. It was part of the Olympics and can hold a whopping 32k fans which is fantastic for a new stadium. It cost a whopping 113 million which is crazy. Because the stadium is owned by ACL I'll keep it at 4 stars, they're really mean to the club itself. It's an AMAZING stadium, but CCFC need to own it in order for this to work properly.

It was located down at the end of the playing field of my high school, and I watched it being built for years while attending the school. I finally got to go to a game there in 2004, which happened to be Jose Mourinho's first ever game in charge of Chelsea... a friendly against Oxford United which ended 1-1. Later, my brother and I broke into this stadium by climbing the fence, just to take pictures and have a look around. That was fun. First-Hand Experience: Well, more than I can count. I've been to the Kassam probably 100 times. It's my hometown team. So I don't really need to clarify or go into it. I'll post pix later. I have tons. Despite my fond memories of this stadium (and of abusing Mourinho by stupidly telling him he'd never be as good as Ranieri, before he proceeded to win 2 Prem titles in a row and then the treble with Inter, then the league with Real, and now the Prem again with Chelsea), I can only give this ground a 3, because it has open corners which loses a lot of atmosphere, and has nothing on the boxed-in feel that the old Manor Ground had back in the old days. I'm saving my review of the actual team Oxford United until later since they're my hometown club and my second fave, but the stadium definitely could be a lot better, and hopefully if Oxford are someday promoted back to the top where they belong, then it will be. After a train journey to Oxford then a long, arduous bus ride (the full length of the route) through the once infamous Blackbird Leys estate we arrived at The Kassam Stadium. I needn't have worried as our tickets were waiting for us as promised. I found the staff friendly and helpful with smiles. It's not as flash or swish as The London Irish Madjeski Stadium in Reading. Ridiculous that one cannot nip out at half time for a cigarette and that's why I'm only giving it three stars. Good day out of London though.

We did the walking tour and both guides were amazing...super funny, engaging, and full of great stories and fun facts about the team and the stadium. We got to explore all the different spots, take pictures and videos, and just really enjoy the whole atmosphere. My boyfriend was completely geeking out, and even though I am not that into football, I had such a great time too. It is definitely worth it, whether you are a Chelsea fan or not!

Once purchased there are the usual foody counters with Ben & Jerrys, Costa and popcorn. This is not a huge cinema but Screen 1 had a large screen. If your out early enough the Harvester restaurant and pub next door are in an ideal location for a bite to eat before or after. You cant miss IKEA just over the road. With 6 floors to shop and plenty of carparking (4 hours if you spent £10 in IKEA)

I…read morecalled with my friend, who is a Reading supporter and season-card holder, They don't normally do Stadium tours, but the lady on the front desk was very nice, and offered to take my friend and I around the stadium, as long as I didn't mention Reading being relegated (Oops) This is actually quite a nice stadium for a Championship club, named after Sir John Madejski who used to own the club, and is now Co-Chairman and Life President (I believe) The stadium has a capacity of just short of 25,000 so a little smaller than the average Premier League stadium, but pretty average for the Championship really. Aviva Premiership Rugby club, London Irish play here too, in a stadium located in Reading, just off Junction 11 of the M4. The stadium its-self was built and opened in the late 1990's and it is just a single tier on each tier, apart from one side where they is two. Inside the grounds, where you can pick up refreshments, it isn't the nicest of areas, and seemed a little old fashioned compared to other stadiums I have been too, such as The Etihad, St James' Park and Wembley, but it wasn't too bad either, for a Championship club and of course beating Rochdale and Hyde FC. Around the ground they its lots of posters and signs from the club's history, such as their 106 point mark they won the Championship by, the most recent promotion winning team, signed shirts, Trevor Senior's 184 goals etc, if you want to see more take a look at my pictures, they are all nice and colourful, and give the stadium a better feeling and vibe, and a better place for the fan. I was shown in the dressing rooms, somewhat, they weren't too impressive but they were not set out ready for the tour, nothing was, but still the stadium was nice, clean and quiet. I was even ended the tour with a few match programs from past Reading games, and even a historic one. This is a nice stadium, obviously it doesn't compare to most of the other stadiums I have visited, as I have visited a wide range of major stadiums: Wembley, Anfield, The Berneabu, The Nou Camp, Allianz Arena etc, and some parts of the stadium were not really impressive, and for a new stadium just felt a little old fashioned. The staff were really nice in offering me the tour though and shown me around what they could, and I can't fault that but still I feel I can only give a solid 3 stars as the stadium wasn't really impressive, and was merely average for a team like Reading.

The concessions are overpriced/expensive but there are a lot of options. Getting out was insanely crowded; they stopped us for awhile to help the tubes from being flooded with people and we eventually had to fight our way onto a bus to get out of the mass of people. But it was all worth it, highly recommend an event here!

Entry was easy, as based on your ticket, you entered through the specific color zone and the security process. You had easy direction to the right level and where the section your seats were located. There are a few drink vendors offering a variety of options such as beer, Pimm's cups, and spritzes. Food options were a little more limited, especially in the gluten free area. They also have bar and restaurant options which are nice as well as a champagne lounge. Bathrooms are plentiful and has no issues accessing with little queue wait. Exiting following the show, it was a little frustrating because they weren't letting people use the escalators and directing people down the stairs that were a little claustrophobic and made you feel someone was going to take a tumble. But once you were out, there are plenty of routes to ensure you get to your destination... unless you are taking the Tube, which in that case, you may need to have patience. But watching shows there are great.
