I deal with a lot of vendors and I knew my same-day request (on a Saturday no less) would probably be met with cranky "not possible in the timeline" responses. Instead, I met Jolene on the other end of the phone. What a warm and positive person! She immediately took on my problems with grace and alacrity. She not only solved the heaters and blanket asks but also added so many details that I would never have thought of. Baskets to hold the blankets. Blankets tied with twine. Additional black napkins in case someone was wearing a dark outfit. Found local wines and beers. Just extremely thoughtful in everything she did. My event was not big or expensive. I'm from out of town so I'm probably not a repeat client (wish I could be!). And I had a very last minute weekend request. And Jolene pulled through 110%. We worked with Ebs for almost a year, and my husband and I both feel so emotionally connected and indebted to Ebs for everything she did for us. From finding vendors who all were out of this world spectacular (caterer, baker, hair stylist, makeup artist - even finding the perfect officiant) to finding a perfect venue to replace our original venue after it fell through, to receiving 30+ packages on our behalf (Breckenridge was a destination wedding), to finding the perfect decorator to match our wishes and budget - not an easy task - and finally to being there on the big day to make everything flow perfectly. I felt at ease the moment I saw Ebs had arrived on wedding day. Ebs was always extremely attentive, professional and knowledgeable, often knowing more about what we wanted than we did and answering questions before we thought to ask them. I told Ebs that my husband and I would walk off a cliff if she told us to, because we know she'd have a good reason to do so and that we'd be perfectly safe under her care. One of the only hard parts of our wedding day was the end, and saying goodbye to Ebs - although I was ready to be done with wedding planning, it was with a very heavy heart that Rob and I wrapped up our wedding day. I hired Priscilla for the entire planning of my wedding which was 3,000 she collected half upfront and the rest would be 2 weeks before my wedding. From the very beginning, I had a bad feeling about working with this planner. She was often unresponsive to my emails and calls, even during the crucial stage of finding my venue. I personally set up about 10 venue appointments, while she only arranged 4. I was already close to firing her and had even started a claim with my bank to recover my $1,500 deposit. Once she realized how serious I was, she apologized and promised to improve -- and unfortunately, I decided to give her a second chance. She did help me find a florist that matched my vision, and I am grateful for that. However, that small success does not make up for her overall lack of follow-through. Afterward, her effort quickly declined again. I had to repeatedly reach out and remind her to help me find a bakery for my cake, which she never did beyond contacting one vendor that didn't work out. When I asked her for a general sequence of events for the wedding (so I could plan the timing of the toast, cake cutting, and dancing), instead of providing guidance, she just sent me a list of questions. After that, communication dropped off completely. Now, with only three months left before my wedding, she still hadn't checked in or offered any help. I decided to terminate her services, and she dismissed my concerns as "anxiety toward wedding planning." In reality, I paid her $3,000 and received little to no results. Please be aware and make sure you truly connect with and vet your vendors before signing a contract. I am still trying to reach a resolution, but she remains unresponsive. I intend to pursue this matter fully, as it's unfair for professionals to take advantage of clients during such important moments. BE AWARE.

She takes time to get to know the people she is working with and has a wonderful and thoughtful way of figuring out what is wanted and needed. We had some unusual requests and she handled them beautifully. Our officiant had had bad experiences with Wedding Planners and he was less than keen to have to someone else "running the show". Marguerite was not offended by his request that she be to the side and take instructions from the officiant during the wedding. We wanted a low key wedding with the focus being the beautiful views and the wildflower meadows present at the venue. We did not want traditional wedding flower arrangements. We wanted to use river rocks and greenery on the tables along with the battery operated candles required by the venue. Marguerite kindly stored the battery operated candles I found so we had ones we liked. She helped us work with a florist to come up with greenery that was just right. Once Marguerite understood the look we were trying to achieve, she worked with us and the tables looked lovely. She even helped collect natural river stones which she then put back in the river.
