I find swap meets to be kind of entertaining. Lots of knick knacks to sort through, kids toys and clothing, random things to see, and maybe you'll find something you didn't know you were looking for. I was specifically here for the fabric, and came across a few booths selling huge rolls and cutting them by the yard for roughly $1-$3 a piece. They had a wide variety from silk to velvet to cotton to fleece to linen to glittery mesh fabrics with lots of different prints. I chose a variety of floral patterns and a striped linen fabric. There was another booth that sold huge rolls of thread, zippers, bobbins, needles etc. you name it! Bought more stuff here. Including the admission fees ($1/person), I probably spent just under $20 for a bunch of fabric and sewing supplies. Looking forward to my next trip here!!

The ahi bowls are probably the most popular, and most people take their food to go. Chef Jeff prepared food to order for 5 of us. We had everything from sushi to pot stickers to kama (collarbone) to chicken karage. The food was fresh, tasty, and served with a smile. We would come here again and in fact, hire Jeff to cater a private dinner party.

Chef Jeff and Chef Austin are inside (Sushi on a Roll). Everyone there is hella friendly and loves sharing the history behind the shop. Chef Jeff's story is seriously inspiring, and you can tell how much he's impacted the local sushi scene.. apparently a lot of sushi chefs and restaurants got their start through his mentorship. I recently came for Chef Austin's omakase, and sheeesh... absolutely worth it. Every bite was on point. I even met a woman visiting from Japan who said it's the closest she's had to back home, and that's saying something. Not much seating just bar seats about 6 if I counted correctly, so you have to come at the right time. If you want quality sushi, authentic Japanese ingredients, and a little glimpse of Japan without buying a plane ticket, this is the spot. Austin could also do private dinners which we'll be hiring him soon!! If you love sushi and have not been here you missing out player!

It's a monthly event where local vendors come out to sell their hand-crafted items. Browse through jewelry, clothing, soaps, pinatas, and other vintage and re-purposed items. They even had a tarot card reader! Travel outside the lot and you'll also encounter a ton of street vendors. Get your tacos and tamals! Por vida is advertised to serve champurrado, Mexican hot chocolate in the thick form, but the tamal guy at his cart (called Tamales Pepe) served a pretty damn good version too. His chicken mole tamales at $3 each were also muy deliciosos! Such a festive & fun event! We went for their Christmas rendition called "Noche Buena" so there were lots of lights, Christmas trees, and garland everywhere. Be sure to following them on Facebook to learn about their next event. Careful with parking though; cars park in the center, turn section of the street, so travel down this road SLOWLY. Support local, support small businesses... always!

I've been a vendor in the past and always showcased our products at these type of markets in SF or LA due to the lack of them here. You've got everything from refurbished woodworks to handcrafted leather goods (notebooks, wallets, etc). Plenty of things to choose from for everyone. It seems like a fairly new spot so I'm sure more and more local artists and vendors will be showing up and making this a regular spot for the hipsters to be at.

She told me to my face that she wasn't sure if I had opened it so she couldn't offer a discount. I asked her if she could check the cameras then because I didn't mind waiting and again that's the condition I found it in. She continued to have a rude tone with me and gave me 11¢ off. Not what I was hoping for but I accepted the¢ discount. I then told rose or Rosa with a very polite tone that she was rude and she said back "I'm not being rude" and refused to check herself. Rosa or rose also told the cashier to go on lunch so she turned off her sign but the rose or Rosa turned it back on then got mad at the cashier for not turning it off.
