I have pretty bad decision paralysis, and after searching Yelp and Google, I decided to come here because of the great reviews about Miri. When I called to make an appointment, the person on the phone wasn't very warm and sounded really annoyed to even have to talk to me. I assumed it was just a receptionist but it turned out to be Reyna. I booked a 60 minute Swedish massage and a clarifying facial. My facial with Miri wasn't at all like I expected it to be. I have some pretty dark scarring from the extractions and I'm worried it'll lead to bad hyperpigmentation. She also kept trying to upsell (I did end up doing the microdermabrasion for + $20) but I was uncomfortable with the 3+ times she suggested to bring me back in for some facial waxing. I know I have peach fuzz, but I don't really mind it. I don't think women should have to be so self conscious about it. I didn't realize that the cold voice on the other end of the phone would be my masseuse, Reyna. It was extremely difficult to relax due to the setup of the place, the reception and lobby area were right next to the room and all I could hear were really loud conversations. The ambient nature noises in the massage room did not help. It was actually pretty upsetting that what was meant to be a nice and serene escape from life was... just... not. I told her I've been having extremely tense shoulder and neck pain and did circle those on the chart. My favorite place to go to for massages is G-Medical Massage Spa in Long Beach, but I couldn't make the drive out this week. So, I have a comparison to work off of in terms of the quality of body work and actually feeling some relief post-visit. My shoulders were still tense since she didn't really use enough pressure nor did it feel like she was tuned into my body the way that I've had other masseuses tap in. Considering her coldness towards me from the jump (aside from the lukewarm forced smile before showing me the massage room), I didn't feel comfortable speaking up about any adjustments I wanted. Would you? Also would have expected a comfier lobby. It was hot, not aesthetically pleasing, and it would've been nice if they had cold water. They had some room temp bottled water... but something as simple as a dispenser of cold cucumber water makes a huge difference. 3/5, did not live up to expectations. Regret spending my money here. It was meant to be a special post-grad treat to myself but I feel like I didn't get the pampering I expected for the price point. read more

I went in to get a consultation/treatment for some bad scarring I have on my face that has killed my confidence for many years. I have never left a negative review in my life, but I had a facial with extractions of milia done here a little over a month ago, and from the moment I left, it was clear that the owner had "extracted" one of the spots WAY too intensely/harshly/and borderline incorrectly. It was not healing properly and I was in an unusual amount of pain. I called her a couple of days later & left a voicemail to let her know how it was (not) healing and that it looked like it would be scarring - when she called me back she was incredibly rude, curt, and dismissive. Said "well it had to be removed so... sorry if you wanted to 'go out this weekend' just cover it up with makeup." :O I was shocked and now over 4 weeks later, there is still a scar which I will probably have to spend hundreds of dollars on to UN-DO and remove. Very, very disappointed by my experience here, but even more so by the dismissive and negative attitude I received after the fact. read more

The reason I don't like all the facial spas, and would not like to go to spas often is these places always try to change your plan (for example, you want a simple face cleaning, they will suggest you to have sth more expensive) and sell their products. Yesterday I went here because I saw its pretty good rating. Then the same thing happened. I ordered a simple clean $90, then was suggested to change to the most expensive facial, which is $150 ($20 off). I agreed because I was afraid if not, they will do a shitty job instead. Then $150 was 1 hour and 15 mins, yet I felt the woman just did very simple job for me, then let me stay there for almost 30 mins with a mask. Maybe she thought I didn't do facials often so she can fool me. But I did a lot facial before I started believing all facials are bullshit. I am disappointed again by facial spas. Why there's no place that you can trust they will do a good job that is worth your money????? At the end, I was advised to take some products again (old trick). I actually don't really want to take anything. But I took a sunscreen because I also have sympathy that their living is not easy. Then I paid $45 for a product named IMAGE, which was sold at $28 at all other websites. Disappointed again. This place is not matched with its rating. And all they showed me is 'they don't care about you, and your skin, but only how much you can pay and sell their products' I will definitely not go back again!!!!!!! About the effect! I don't see my skin has become brighter or cleaner!!! Really bad experience. Will never trust facial again. This kind of business mode will be eventually ruined. read more

I had no idea which service to get. All I knew was that I was unhappy with my hyperpigmentation and sun damage on my face. I called the spa and Marcella answered and gave me SO much helpful information. I went in and she gave me several options without pressuring me and I opted for the green peel and I am so pleased with the results. I came back two days later to have the red blood vessels on the side of my nose removed, and then I had the Ion Magnum and Endermologie treatments done.
