Copper Hill Apartments

I've lived at Copperhill for 3 years. I turned in my keys yesterday. My exit was very caring and…read morecomplementary. The head of maintenance, who I have admired not only as a worker but as a father, was very thankful for my being a tenant at Copperhill. I have always been treated with great respect from the staff at Copperhill. I believe that in life, we receive what we give. Although I was very busy most of the time, I took time to wave to neighbors, have conversations with some, or even checked in on the health of their families. To me this is what a community is all about. We give what we want to receive. In any apartment complex there will always be children playing, neighbors fighting, garbage that was not carefully put away. I chose not to sit back and complain. What I have done at times was to ask questions, make sure that things were okay, or sometimes picking up that piece of garbage that flew in front of my door. No blame,no fault. This is life, stuff happens, it's what we do with the stuff that happens that creates the community. I would like to thank everyone at Copperhill Apartment's. The last three years have shown me who I am as a citizen. If you're looking for a place where you can make a difference by being a great neighbor, then Copperhill is a place for you. If you're the type of person who enjoy watching kids as they grow, maybe introducing them to a new game, or even helping them solve a dispute, then this is a place for you. If you would like big open spaces to live in that are new, then this is a place for you. If you know that in life there will always be negatives and positives, then this is the place for you.

I am planning to move out as soon as I am able to save up money for a deposit elsewhere. Also I asked the manager at the office for his higher up management so I could communicate with them about some of my issues and he did not give me a direct accurate number. Instead he told me to google FPI management and the number for FPI online goes nowhere. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!i

That gave me a front-row seat to the evolution of this community from the very beginning. I also had the unfortunate opportunity to watch it steadily decline. In my opinion, the single greatest contributing factor was the leadership of Katy McAdams. In four years, I never witnessed the property deteriorate as rapidly as it did under her management. What had once been a community I was genuinely happy to call home became increasingly frustrating because of decisions that reflected poor leadership, a lack of accountability, and an apparent inability to address resident concerns in a professional and constructive manner. The defining characteristic of my experience with Katy was not simply disagreement--it was the consistent refusal to accept responsibility. Legitimate concerns were met with dismissive corporate platitudes rather than meaningful solutions. Communication frequently felt adversarial instead of collaborative, and accountability always seemed to be someone else's responsibility. My final interaction perfectly encapsulated the experience. Rather than acknowledging the issues that led to my departure, I received the familiar, scripted response: "I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way." After four years as a resident, that statement came across as performative rather than sincere. I ultimately paid a disputed balance because my time and peace of mind were worth more than continuing to engage in a needless dispute. That payment should not be interpreted as agreement with how the situation was handled. It was simply the price of closing the chapter. It is genuinely disappointing because this property had tremendous potential when it opened. I watched it grow from its earliest days, and I also watched it lose much of what made it a great place to live. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this property while it continues to be managed under the same leadership. I don't leave negative reviews lightly. After four years--and after seeing both the property's best and its worst--I feel prospective residents deserve to know that the quality of management can have a profound impact on their experience. Unfortunately, my experience under Katy McAdams' leadership was overwhelmingly negative.

Without even requesting it, we were blessed with a unit that faces the Centennial Trail and the Spokane River. There is enough space and enough trees between us to allow us to keep our shades open without feeling like people can see in as they walk by. I love being able to run on the trail by the river every day - being so close to the trail encourages exercise and spending more time outdoors! There are a lot of people with dogs here, but they are all very well behaved and we have never had an issue with it. The gym is nice, especially now that they have a brand new Peloton bike! They could use some fans in there, however, as it gets very hot. Parking for our building is always pretty good unless you're coming home past 10 PM, then you have to park a little farther away. The area is very safe. Since it's a little bit far from grocery stores & convenience stores, there are just fewer people out and about. I feel extremely comfortable walking around the area at night time. We hardly ever have the need to interact with the staff, however, they all seem super helpful. We only had a 7-month lease and if we didn't plan on buying a home, I would have loved to stay longer.
