Love visiting this bar! Such a cool vibe and the bartenders are always great. The drink I had was gorgeous and tasty (although I seem to have lost the picture). It made for a really great end to a super long day.

"That shit was fucking delicious" my exact words to the owner! The Mistletoe Mule absolutely amazing!

    Very salty! Good but salty

My husband and aunt both ordered pizzas from here. The wait time is long but that's understandable for pizza. Pizza is thin, new york style...foldable. They enjoyed their pizzas but noted how salty they were. I tried a bite and agree. You're going to need something sweet and a lotta watta to counter balance that saltiness. Hey good thing you're in a food hall and dessert and water dispensers are just a hop, skip, and a jump away.

Pope of Greenwhich Village pizza. Aka pepperoni

So I was excited to try the Pizitz Food Hall for the first time, and I knew I would be overwhelmed once I got inside so as a Yelper, I have obviously been studying my options. I took the safe route and got pizza from The Louis Bar. They are called the Iron Pie Pizza, and they serve personal pizzas. Four slices per pie. The bar was beautiful, marble countertops, and two very attentive servers. Looking at the food menu, there were about 4 or 5 pizza options. Their pizza is pretty fancy, and I had to google at least one ingredient from each pie just to make sure it wasn't something crazy that I couldn't eat. FYI...pecorino and parmigiana are both cheeses! I ended up going with the pepperoni which was called the Pope of Greenwhich Village. The meat, sauce, and cheese topping was very refreshing and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of the brick oven style pizza. I like mine more doughy and cheesy, so I probably will try a different place for food when I come back to the Pizitz and maybe come back here for a drink.

This bar is awesome because of its prime location in the middle of Pizitz Food Hall. You can get whatever food you like, and then take it over to the bar for drinks. The staff is super friendly, and service is always quick. They do run drink specials, though I don't know what days those apply. I go there for cocktails and then in Sunday's I will go for mimosas (pictured below) $5 each or $15 for the whole bottle.

Overall consistently have been happy with everything I have eaten, but I will say that while still pretty good the burgers are not as good as they were early on. One of the big draws for me has always been the outdoor patio area that is shared with the other businesses that are part of the Trussville Entertainment District (TED). The covering over the area keeps you out of the direct sun but still has a very open air feel. On my most recent visit I got the Feral Smash Burger with Cheddar instead of American Cheese. I ordered the tots for my side because I swore that I had gotten them many times in the past. Looking back at all my photos, clearly I was mistaken. Since I am not a big fan of sweet potato the bartender brought me fries instead to go with my side of Beer Cheese which is well worth the added cost. Depending on when you go, you may have to go inside to order at the bar for the outdoor seating (such as I did today). Other days when the TED is busier and peak times you can order at the outdoor bar. For solo lunch dining I prefer other options in the TED but Ferus is great for groups and outdoor dining. I am sure I will be back especially when my daughter comes to town since she likes to refill her growler with the seasonal sours.

I'm not personally a fan of mayonnaise, so I skipped the Alabama white sauce, but my guest ordered it and really liked it. If that style of sauce is your thing, it seems to be well executed here. The French fries were cooked well, though I found myself wishing there was a house seasoning or something on the table to switch up the flavor profile a bit. The collard greens were also delicious -- tender and nicely prepared, with most of the stems removed, though there were still a few more than I would have preferred. Where the experience dipped was service. We were seated in a back corner, and it took quite a while to get assistance from servers throughout the meal. It didn't feel intentional, just a bit overlooked. The restaurant itself is in a very cool, older building with character. The historic feel is part of its charm, though aesthetically it does feel a little worn in places -- understandably so given the age of the space. Overall, the food is strong and worth trying, especially the chicken. With more attentive service, it would easily elevate the experience.
