While we didn't get super delicious Mexican food at The Loop, we did enjoy delicious churros at the end. (They're filled with custard, and they're served with chocolate sauce, caramel, and cinnamon butter.) Our server, Grace, was full of life and kindness, as was the guy (busboy?) helping her. Overall, our experience was satisfactory, but everyone in our party of seven agreed that the food wasn't great. The Loop is one of the better sit down Mexican restaurants in the Colorado Springs area. The chips and salsa that came with the meal were very good. They had a nice little spice to it and the chips were good too. I ordered the chile verde dinner which is described as very spicy and it delivered. The spice built while eating it and it definitely lingered with me a couple hours after eating. It was very good and I would be interested in trying more items on the menu. read more

My wife and I chose the Loop for our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding. We hosted ~90 people and when I cannot overstate how perfect the night was - Gustavo and his team really helped to make our night unforgettable. The food, the service, the atmosphere - everything was above and beyond. We weren't sure if our families would mesh - but thanks to the amazing restaurant and setting in the mountains - everyone vibed and a huge dance party in the restaurant ensued. Not a bad place if you randomly crave for Mexican food. My fiancé and I came here and the place was so huge! We walked into a weird entrance so someone kindly guided us to our seats from there. They had a lot of good looking items on the menu and I ended up having the three enchiladas. Pretty tasty! The drinks were a little inconsistent though cuz my strawberry margarita felt like it had zero alcohol and was more of a slushie (which was tasty still) and my fiancé's mai tai was too strong lol. Ricky our server was fantastic! Ordered a frozen margarita and ultimately sent it back. Tasted like ice shards and a hint of tequila, no lime flavor at all. Luckily I was able to trade for one on the rocks which was better but was still bottled mixer (finest call) simple solution to make a $20 margarita worth it - use fresh juice or concentrated juice, lime, orange and grapefruit - you'd be amazed by the difference. The special was pretty good, but I was surprised cinnamon was a main spice in the red sauce - just didn't fit. I had been really craving Mexican and this was close to our hotel. We stopped in for lunch and they got us right in and sat us at a booth. We were really at the back and not really close to anyone (which is nice due to COVID), but the booth was also really weird and the seats were very far from the table. We ordered the big house margarita. I am not sure it had more than a drop of tequila in it. You are basically paying $15.99 for mix and salt. The hubby got a beef chimichanga and it came without any green or red chile (which I thought was weird). Went here with My Cousin & his daughter while I was visiting neighboring city Colorado Springs, Colorado. Amazing Food, great friendly customer service & a very nice place all around. My Cousin got Flautas with beans & rice he really enjoyed it said it was one of his go to menu items here. His Daughter got a Quesadilla combo with beans & rice which She enjoyed very much. & I ordered an All Meat & Cheese (Grilled Steak & Grilled Chicken) Wet Burrito smothered in Green Chilè Sauce with Ranchero Style Beans & Tempura Vegetables with Spicy Sweet House Chili Sauce... This place fulfilled all of my lunch hopes and dreams: *Great salsa and fresh chips *REALLY good queso (I'm sure it was calorie free) *A skinny margarita?! (I'll take lime juice and simple syrup over a margarita mix any day) *Huge. plates. of delicious. Mexican food. *Friendly staff We had a little bet going that one of the two cups of salsa was hotter than the other when our waiter informed us they were actually the same salsa. Once we got over our overwhelming embarrassment we moved on to queso, which was spectacular. We all ordered something different for lunch, and everyone was so happy with their choices! My sister-in-law was brave and ordered the "burrito from hell." But really not that brave because she got the hell sauce on the side (which was a wise choice -- it was hotter than I could have imagined.) The Horni grandma is a little pricey, but really delicious. Just wish they had pitchers available. The cheese dip is the best I've ever had. Comes out bubbling in a little skillet. We went three times for Margs and cheese dip while out here for the month of July. Service was consistently good and the staff is was always friendly. Beware of really bad service. It took my husband 25 minutes to get a new drink. We were charged for two drink because the server said they werent the same type of drink. I explain to the server they cost the same amount and she said that didn't matter. He didn't like his sweet tea and he asked for a Sprite which took 25 minutes for the server to come back with it. The food was good but we were stuck paying 3.99 twice because the server said they were two different ones so we had to pay for both. I have never heard of a ridiculous thing in my life. The manager said she could void my charge and charge it again but that is just crazy. I maybe should expressed my disappointment in the service. Told them we would never be back. Not impressed. I felt like I was in a very touristy restaurant. They had Mexican food, burgers, fish. I asked the waiter for a few of his recommendations and ordered based on that. The chips were fresh, but they had zero flavor without the salsa. The salsa was very mild. I asked if they had hot sauce to add a bit of heat to make it a little more to my liking. I ordered the Burrito Pannine. It was hot as far as temperature, but incredibly salty and greasy. I didn't eat much more than two bites of my rice because it was bland and flavorless. Not gooey, though. So I guess that was a plus. Then I got the bill and noticed that they charged me a dollar more than what was on the menu. This is a pet peeve of mine. How could the wait staff not know when the menu and the computer don't correspond? Left a bad flavor in my mouth to round out the less than stellar experience. This restaurant was recommended by good friends of ours. The margarita was worth the money according to my spouse. I ordered a burrito with fried veggies and the beef tasted burnt. On a work/vacation trip and stopped here last night with my family after checking into our hotel. First, like all businesses in downtown Manitou, you'll need to utilize street parking. Not an issue for us, but something to note if you have a hard time walking. Ambiance: it's not super loud, which is nice. Typical decor for a Mexican restaurant. My only "complaint" on this is to maybe sweep under and around tables between customers when it's not busy. We were seated immediately and got waters and chips/salsa right away. Our server seemed very overwhelmed and tried to be as attentive as possible. They were great about keeping chips and salsa filled anytime we asked, so that helped with the wait on service. Again, this is NOT a complaint on our server. She was wonderful. Just more a reflection of so many places being short staffed. We loved the salsa and the fact that it had good flavor and spice, each bowl slightly different than the last. The white queso is amazing. Get it. You won't regret it. My boys got the taco salad and fajitas, my husband the flautas and I got carne asada. All nice portions and very flavorful. Whoever said their meat had no flavor - I question if it was a legit review. Margaritas were large and provided just the right "kick" after a long travel day. It is a bit pricy if you're ordering alcohol, but otherwise the food prices are on par with where the cost of food is anymore. Stopped by for dinner on a Friday night with the in-laws. Our waiter was good and attentive even though he forgot that my in-laws ordered guacamole and he forgot to bring it to us. Came here on Labor Day weekend with the family. We saw an ad for the "Best Margarita" so we knew we had to try. We sat at the bar and upon arriving, the servers were barking orders at the bartender, who was already working her butt off. We didn't even wait 7 minutes before getting served and the margaritas she made us were so good we would've waited 30. I had a black orchid and my boyfriend ordered the regular house and we were blown away by both. Definitely recommend stopping by and visiting Hannah!!!! First, the reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is due to the shrimp cocktail, plenty of shrimp but no flavor, bland, and no avocados or chunks of anything. Overall underwhelming and my least favorite part of my meal. I feel like even if they used their salsa for the shrimp cocktail it would be better. The burrito from hell, man the kick! I live for it!
