Good food, good drinks, good service. On a recent trip to manitou springs, I decided to try The Loop for lunch. Located on the north end of the DT manitou strip, this eatery boasts of an extensive food and drinks menu, and most of the items I tried were good. The strawberry marg was refreshing and strong, and the Burrito From Hell was exactly that - loaded (great serving size tbh) and spicy hot! Complimentary chips and salsa + very attentive servers made the trip worthwhile. I'll be back to try their order menu items for sure.

This is a Mexican restaurant but I decided to order the Pike's Peak burger. It was outstanding! Huge patty cooked to perfection. Crispy around the edges and tender on the inside. It came with tots or fries. I ordered the tots and they were perfect. All for $14.99. Take a look at the pictures I uploaded to get an idea. This burger came with lettuce, tomato, bacon, ham, cheese and avocado. No sauce an it didn't need it. The patty was seasoned perfect. It is definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had and that is saying a lot because I'm a beer and burger kind of gal. I lucked out going here as the three other places I tried were all closed for lunch that day. I will absolutely eat here again the next time I come. Raylee was my waitress and she was great - nice and friendly.

The loop is approximately located along a round about run manitou springs. I came here to try the margaritas, which I've heard a lot of good things about! We were out on a waitlist, but ended up being seated quickly. Our server was very nice, but he seemed a little stressed out and his section looked VERY full. He was still able to take our orders quickly and there wasn't much of a wait for food/drinks. The margaritas seem expensive for what they are, especially if you get the large size. I had the strawberry margarita and it was very good but it definitely wasn't strong. I ordered the vegetarian fajitas which were also good, but I did see some meat that must have accidentally gotten in the vegetables... some of the things we ordered never came either, but nothing too important. Overall, not a bad experience but not my favorite margaritas in town.

We ate dinner here on a recent trip to Manitou Springs after riding the train up Pikes Peak. We enjoyed our table for two by the fireplace, and our waitress was super friendly. Our drinks and meals were served quickly. We ordered a skinny margarita, a horni grandma, steak fajitas, and nachos.

I've heard so much about this place. Unsure if my disappointment was from the food or the hype. Just average food. Presentation lacked, flavor lacked. Shrimp was so overcooked. This place needs a good clean. Service just seemed confused. Who was taking care of us? Staff seemed more interested in chatting than service itself.

Went back a second time with my boyfriend and our baby, and it was just as amazing. Gwen and Becky took care of us again--super kind, helpful, and Gwen even remembered our baby's name! There was a new dish for two on the menu that was incredible and gave us enough leftovers for a whole second meal each. This place is officially our go-to. Can't wait to bring the rest of the family!

At the suggestion of a good friend of mine, I chose to celebrate my birthday at The Loop this year. Making the reservation was super easy, even for getting a large table (9 people) on Mother's Day. I love the location because Manitou Springs is one of my favorite towns in Colorado. And The Loop is right in the middle of the best part of town. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the whole meal. Great drinks and delicious food was enjoyed by everyone. I had the Chili Verde Dinner. The menu said "very spicy". This is true. But also so delicious and filling. I had the Patron Margarita. Super tasty. Not overly boozy. The room noise level was really loud and filled with happy people. A bit too loud, maybe. But not terrible. Service during the meal was good, but could've been a bit better. I think the waitress was just a bit overwhelmed. But she kept a good attitude the whole time. I'm looking forward to going back again with a smaller group and on a less busy day.

Grande margaritas, skillet queso, amazing service from Justine at The Loop!

YUM! We stopped in for a margarita and app--- our grande margaritas are going down fast and easy! Our chips and skillet queso are the perfect t app for a chilly evening. And Justine has been AMAZING! Super attentive, making sure we have everything we need, made great recommendations for our margaritas. Love sitting at the bar- festive, fun, great service! Can't beat it.

Our waitress was super nice but stressed out as they were down one member of wait staff. Bartender was working very hard to keep up. We were there at the end of the night. They closed at eight and we ordered a second margarita at about 745. There was no rush for us to finish. We ordered guacamole and a taco off the kids menu along with our combination. We ordered both on the rocks and frozen and they were both good. I would order the 24 ounce. We got the 16 ounce but on the rocks had a lot of ice so you don't get much margarita. The queso was average. They do only provide you one bowl of chips, complementary. When we got our queso, we were already out of our complementary basket of chips in our waitress, said that the next batch would be a charge. Once I asked if the queso came with any chips, she apologized and brought over a second basket of chips. The combo meal was good. It was great, rice and beans really good. The enchilada were good, but we paid extra ($-2.50) for the verde sauce but they didn't put very much on top, which was disappointing as my husband loves it. I'll it wasn't a bad experience. It was a difficult night for the wait staff doing the best they could. I would definitely return.

We always provide the server a card with a list of the food allergies before ordering and ask them to show the kitchen. We ordered a gluten free child's taco after confirming they would be able to accommodate a wheat allergy. We were assured they could make the taco on a corn tortilla. When the food came it appeared it was NOT a gluten free corn tortilla. I don't have any allergies and tried a bite and it tasted like wheat to me so I told my son who is allergic to wheat NOT to eat it. I confirmed with the kitchen it was NOT a corn tortilla and they had served him a flour tortilla even thought we were very clear be is allergic to wheat. If he had eaten it we would have had to give him epinephrine and had a visit to the ER. After that I had no confidence that they understood food allergies or the difference between a corn or wheat tortilla and asked them to just remake the taco with no tortillas at all. So be very careful eating where is you have a wheat allergy. They were very nonchallannt about this major mistake that could have resulted in hospital visit and all we got was "whoops we're sorry!" I thought at a minimum the kid's taco would have been taken off the check for such a major mistake

But I was let down pretty terribly. Excitement was high as we ordered a Pastor Burrito, Birria, Chorizo, and Pastor Tacos, and Zapata fries. The fries were cold. I don't know how it was too hard to warm up some premade fries, but it managed to happen. The one part of the fries that was good was the pork. And I still wasn't blown away. It really seems like they just can't find a happy medium, because the fries were cold but most of the meats were cooked crematorium-style. I mean, absolutely burnt to a crisp. I also just don't know how hard it is to mess up a good chorizo, but it managed it happen. My Birria Taco was luckily pretty good, but I was just severely disappointed by everything else. Nothing stood out as being especially good-decent, even, in most cases. And we didn't even get any chips to go with our large assortment of salsas. What the heck, man. The pork bumped this review up to two stars, and the pricing was decent, but we still had to spend an extra $20 at a nearby gas station to get the taste of overcooked meat and sadness out of our mouths. I'm not sure how it got this far on Yelp, but I'm going to be the person to say that Zapata may have been the biggest culinary disappointment in my year so far. No wonder, considering the meat tastes like it's been forgotten in the fiery depths of a bonfire for weeks too long.
