Pendleton House Historic Inn Bed and Breakfast October 18 to 22, 2023…read more A very pleasantly surprising place to stay near downtown Pendleton, Oregon. The couple who own and operate the B&B have done a masterful job of decorating and filling the house with fascinating period artifacts. Jack is a very attentive host. He's knowledgeable about the history of the house and town. The stay exceeded my expectations. High recommendation.

Have you always wanted to stay in a bordello? Well, apparently a lot of tourists to Pendleton, OR…read moredid and, thus, the Working Girls Hotel (WGH) was re-opened in 1991. "Services" are limited, however, the hotel does have a suite + 4 other sleeping rooms that are all uniquely decorated in a very Old West-meets-true-Victorian style. The building itself is quite stunning, with hardwood floors, soaring ceilings, and exposed brick. It's old, though, so be prepared to hear a lot of traffic noise, particularly if you're sleeping in one of the rooms on the NW side. The one time I stayed here was with a large group, and we took over the whole place. If you're planning a visit here, that's the approach I would recommend. There are a lot of common areas, and it would be a shame to not take advantage of them. There is a shared kitchen, a large living room and a separate dining area. Bathrooms are also shared (except in the suite), but are HUGE. The guest house is in a prime location in the historic district; close to all of P-town's night life, coffee shops, and services. Kids and pets are disallowed, because of the antiques and the layout. Plus, who wants to explain a bordello to the kiddies? Especially since this one was apparently operational until "more recently than you'd think..." A very cool piece of Oregon's history, though, and certainly prime real estate if you can get the house over the week of the Round-up.

Firm mattress ensured a good night's sleep. Wifi and TV were good. I appreciated the charger outlet device. Staff were friendly and parking was good. Breakfast options were better than I expected: yogurt, cereal, bagels, muffins, cream cheese, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, hot beverages & juice. The breakfast area was nicely decorated, and the chairs and tables were clean & comfy. It's obvious the owners have tried hard to provide a nice experience. They actually use metal keys, a throwback to simpler times. Minus: The toilet seat was worn, paint had given way to the wood underneath, however the rest of the place is in good shape and I would stay here again.

We had the honor of having Bob as our driver for a Saturday trip to Walla Walla wine country…read morerecently. Bob made the whole planning process so easy, he was reachable by email, text and phone and replied quickly whenever I reached out! Bob arrived promptly to our meeting location as planned and had plenty of water and snacks for our group of 13. He had reached out to each winery we wanted to visit so we had reservations and were good to begin tasting as soon as we reached our first, and second and third, and so on destination. During the planning stage, he had given us the option to assist in choosing wineries or we can give him our list and he would take care of the rest. Since it was such a large group, a few people had some they wanted to visit , and that quickly filled our itinerary! It was nice to be able to enjoy the tastings with door to door service and not have to worry about driving. Even though you think you can handle it, those tastings really start to creep up on you by the 2nd or 3rd winery! Always better safe then sorry! Van was clean as well and he provided winery magazines to look over as well as a stool to get in and out of the van for those vertically challenged. If we ever go back to Walla Walla or one of the other cities where Roads2 Travel hosts tours, we will definitely book through them again! Payment was easy as well, everything was done through PayPal through their site so no need to worry about it when we got there!
