At this particular location the staff is very friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing the best tanning package and lotion/bronzer for your skin. All the beds and stand ups are cleaned after each use, along with each room. The bulbs are changed frequently. A lot of customers use this salon and at times it gets pretty busy but the wait is pretty short since theres so many rooms! Chili Peppers offers various sales several times a month (BOGO and 1/2 off!) Good for packages, visits, eyewear and lotion. The prices aren't very high to me, especially when there is sales. Also, sign up for the Eclub to get email notifications of sales and specials. What I really love is the staff always makes you welcome by greeting you when you enter and exit the salon. I'm not sure if I'm just curious in general or if on some subconscious level I like to torture minimum wage employees, but I always ask a lot if questions out of the staff to any establishment I spend my money in. The girls here were not just easy in the eyes, but more importantly, answered my questions quickly and professionally. I received $10 off of my first month as a new member, and because I bought two months at a time, they applied the discount to both months. The only reason I went back there is because I love the level 5 bed that they have. However 2 out of my first 3 visits I have had to wait at least 15 minutes to use it. What really bothers me is that I, (level five), am their highest paying customer and they do less for me then they do anyone else. Every other level has multiple beds, some standing some laying down but their highest paying level only has one. I told them that there were two ways that they could help their highest paying customers out, add a new level five bed or start taking appointments so we don't have to drive all of the way out there to just sit and wait. They said the bed was too expensive (which I believe that it is), and taking appointments was too much work to add on to their employees. Imagine that, we don't want to overwork our employees we would just rather inconvenience our highest paying customer. I can honestly say that I will never be back here again after my month ends. I strongly recommend that you don't either.

I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.
