Been to this place twice now after being on my radar for some time. It has a lovely soft colour scheme of pastel green and white and is quite lovely to just sit in for breakfast.
But to business. This menu is awesome. I started off on my first time having the autumn strawberry granola, which has Panna Cotta rather than normal yoghurt. Coffee is great though the granola was too sweet for me.
But it was different and I needed to try more. So I came back and went straight for the "crispy googy eggs". Fried eggs. I know what you're thinking. Fried eggs in the morning? That's crazy. No. Not crazy. I thought I'd need a side dish. You don't. It. Is. Filling.
I don't know how they do it, but the fried eggs have the lightest of batters and remain the good kind of runny inside. Enough to coat the asparagus, beans and lettuce it comes with. But it's the generous serving of ham hock that comes with it that seals the deal. It's so good.
We also had the "polenty to go around", which looked and treated great with a thick slab of polenta.
Try it out for a unique breakfast menu, you won't regret it. read more
