Rene Garcia is one of the most genuine, hard working, honest people I've ever met. His knowledge as a realtor brought my partners and I up to speed on so much we weren't aware of. He showed up to every appointment on time and went out of his way on several occasions to go above and beyond what any realtor has ever done for us in the past. He truly lives by his title. He loves his work and lives to love and it clearly shows. It was an honor to work with him. And I look forward to doing it again when we're ready to move on to our next home or commercial property.

He was very easy to work with and understanding towards my client's (the sellers) situation. Again, he was patient throughout the process and since this was considered a commercial sale, he even helped inform me with with certain rules and regulations I wasn't too familiar with. And that's Geoff... always willing to help. He's a very knowledgeable Broker and with all the integrity boxes checked. He stole $3980 from me, and I am seeking legal action to get it back. Let's go down the list through each lie in order, shall we?... - Told me tenants would be out by July 15. It is July 19 and they are still there. THE FIRST LIE! - He wanted the $1990 security deposit without letting me see the place. I was hesitant, but relented because we had talked on the phone a few times, texted a lot, and I had research him and he and his company seemed legit. He said we would schedule a viewing once the deposit was made. I deposited it. THE SECOND LIE!...Then suddenly, he said I needed first and last month's rent to view the place because the owner was in a rush to rent it. I was frustrated, but talked him down to first month's rent only because I really wanted to get out of my current place. I paid first month's rent as well, so $3980 total has been paid without a viewing. - The address and listing were completely wrong. THE THIRD LIE! The listing was for 1815 10th St. Santa Monica, CA. I happened to be in the area and went by the address to ease my paranoia. Nothing on the outside looked like the photos on Westside Rentals except the color of the building. I had good conversations with some of the tenants who all verified that David Mouallem was, in fact, their property manager as well. - Two days ago, we finally, we schedule a viewing for 10:00 AM today (July 19 Saturday). Suddenly, yesterday he says they can only do Monday. THE FOURTH LIE! We settled on 5:00 PM today. I arrived on time. By 5:30 PM, I had called and texted him over 60 times total with ZERO response. I ran into the current tenant of the unit and asked if she was moving out. She looked surprised and said "No". I said I was sorry to bother her and eventually left the property. David finally returned my texts but would not answer the phone because he was afraid of how (rightfully) upset I would be. Here's the kicker...He said this wasn't even the right apartment complex! I told him to refund everything I paid him immediately. He asked how, and I said to Venmo it along with $50 gas money for standing me up. He said okay. I said that it had to be in the next hour or I would do exactly what I'm doing right now typing this. It's been two hours and I have NO VENMO NOTIFICATION for my refund. Do NOT rent from this man or his realty "company"! Because of him, I am now in dire straits at my current place because they think I'm moving out. The stress this has caused me while being a full-time student and employee is innumerable. By the way, I STILL haven't met him face to face! I am making it my life's mission to make sure everyone knows how awful this man is and -- if I don't get my money back -- will continue to leave this review on every site I can and make sure he gets fired. I'm a patient person, and this man tested my every nerve along this path of despair onto which he led me. Oh, and he will DEFINITELY leave a reply on this denying everything, despite the fact that I have plenty of digital proof. Good luck everyone!

Resident since 5/2025 This review is written with…read moreintention--because exceptional employees deserve to be recognized at a higher level. Bijon operates at a level of professionalism that goes well beyond the scope of his role. From the moment he arrives, he is respectful, composed, and detail-oriented. He knocks, announces himself, wears boot covers, and clearly explains the work before beginning. He listens without interrupting, communicates effectively, and remains solution-focused at all times. What distinguishes him, however, is how he handles pressure. I'll be candid--during one interaction, I was dealing with personal stress and came across more abrasive than I should have. Bijon did not react, escalate, or withdraw. Instead, he remained calm, acknowledged my frustration, clarified what he could address, and followed through without hesitation. That level of composure, accountability, and restraint is rare. It reflects leadership, not just technical skill. This is the type of employee who sets the tone for an entire operation. Equally important, this consistency reflects strong leadership from Chris, the maintenance supervisor. The level of professionalism, responsiveness, and execution I've experienced indicates clear standards, proper training, and accountability within the team. That does not happen by accident. Hector, Jasmine, and Dominque have also been consistently welcoming and professional throughout my time here (over a year). The property itself is clean, spacious, comfortable, and--most importantly--feels safe. It stands apart from typical high-rise living and genuinely feels like a home. I'll also acknowledge this--I'm not always the easiest tenant, and I'm aware of that. Despite this, I have never once been met with disrespect, dismissiveness, or indifference from this team. That level of consistency speaks volumes about management and the culture being upheld here. Bijon is not just an asset--he is leadership material. If performance, professionalism, and composure under pressure are metrics that matter, then his work should not go unnoticed. I had issues with my washer and dryer and immediately after I put in a request, it was addressed and you'll see the photo below where they replaced them with new washer and dryer.

Well, at least it's not if you don't want to spend 8 billion dollars! Most lofts downtown don't have separate bedrooms even when they say they do. A 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom is most often just one room with an open den or sleeping nook. I was almost ready to give up my search and to settle into something infinitely less cool than a loft. Yeah, something with low ceilings and paper thin walls. Life would have been miserable. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Then in a last ditch effort, I contacted Gil at 213 to see what he could do. He sent me a few emails full of listings that might fit. He knew which places had actual bedrooms and which ones didn't. He also had the inside private listings that you can't just easily find on your own. The place that he found us was great. We never would have found it without him.
