THIS PLACE! YES! JUST GOOOOOO! It is perfect for EVERYONE! Whether you're teleworking, having a meet & greet, doing a Bible study group meetup, or just enjoying coffee and sunshine while kids play, this is the spot!!! Such friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful esthetic. Cozy atmosphere. It's everything you could want in a coffee shop. I am so delighted I stumbled on this sweet little spot. I'm definitely coming back again and again!

Love this coffee shop. It's run by the organizers of the Hope Center, which is a local food pantry. All proceeds from the sale of coffee and goods go towards supporting the Hope Center and local communities. The coffee house is perched on top of a small hill right off of HWY 281, and offers ample parking along with spacious seating both inside and outside on the dog-friendly patio. When we were here, one of the workers brought out a water bowl and pup cup with a strip of bacon to welcome our furry child to the house. Today, we ordered an Oat Cappuccino and an Oat Iced White Mocha with a chorizo breakfast taco and sticky bun. The espressos were tasty as was the food. They source their espresso beans from Gruene, which weren't too acidic which we appreciated. They also have a small playground for kids outside with additional tables and chairs under oak trees. I'm sure this would be a great spot for any morning caffeine boost. We'll be back!

Coolest nonprofit coffee house that I have ever been to. I was looking for a place to interview someone for a position that I was hiring for and found this gem. This place couldn't have any more character. There is plenty of parking and The Loft Coffee House is literally a house! It is very clean on the inside and the staff is super friendly. I ordered a hot white chocolate mocha and took a seat. They have a lot of different seating options to fit your needs. Shortly after sitting down they brought me my coffee. It tasted amazing. I can't recommend this place enough. There is a reason why this place has so many great reviews.

Thank you for being so welcoming today! We loved our lattes and puppy enjoyed his whipped topping "puppy cup"!

My dog being highly driven was a bit of a handful at first to say the least but I found Karen and her staff to be professional and compassionate toward the needs of not only the dogs but their owners as well. They worked tirelessly to help each team meet the necessary requirements to achieve their goal of becoming an AKC Certified Therapy Dog Team. As with any type of training one must practice outside of class the techniques given while in class in order to accomplish the intended goal. I know I spent many hours each week working with my dog and the hard work paid off. In response to Rebecca's review regarding her dog and what took place during her dog's final evaluation, one must understand that being touched by strangers is the entire concept of what therapy dogs do and passing this portion of testing is not only mandatory but critical to the certification process. As a classmate of Rebecca and her dog, I can tell you first hand that her dog did more than just "show teeth", he actually snapped /bit at the trainer twice during the touch evaluation. To me , an untrained eye, it was apparent from the start that she and her dog were both very shy and quite unsure about the entire process. I'm not sure she fully understood the amount of time and effort neccessary to complete the required training or perhaps she didn't realize that her dog was not as confident and friendly as she might have wished. There is no shame in that as not every dog is meant to do this work. What I do know is that this organization is doing an awesome service for the community and Changing Lives One Paw Print At A Time.

My dog has never had any type of training before so I thought it was nice that they put you through obedience school first. One of the ladies that answers the phone is not very prompt at all and hardly checks her phone. She had contacted me 3 days after the 1st class had taken place, that I could participate if I wanted. Since I was absent the 1st day of class, I had asked everything that they did the 1st day, but even with that apparently they went over a lot because throughout my time taking my dog, I was always getting in trouble for things I apparently should have already known. So it would be nice if they make sure everyone is well aware of all the rules and what you should and should not do while training your dog. Since I was a week behind, I felt my dog was always behind in the classes since all the other dogs were ahead. They shouldn't let anyone into the classes after they start. For the final exam, they went over the stuff that was going to be test and would practice with us. One thing they didn't practice was for a stranger grabbing our dogs paws. My dog and I weren't prepared for that and my dog showed a little teeth. And because of that my dog was deemed aggressive and failed. My dog has never been around strangers that grab the paws and I felt this was a waste of money because although they do teach some obedience, it seemed your dog must already be super friendly with strangers beforehand, and I felt I was mislead because the girl on the phone had said they could teach us everything with no problem. They obviously need to have other requirements to participate or maybe they just tell people that to get as much money as possible already knowing you'll fail later, I hope that's not the case though.

Anyone that has known me for any length of time knows that chelonians (broad way to group turtles…read moreand tortoises together... they're different, people!) are my spirit animal, and I've wanted one as a pet for a very very very long time. After a lot of research about all things tortoise and acquiring/assembling my set up, I decided that just buying a tortoise from a store wasn't an option. It was captive bred or adoption. A captive bred situation didn't work out and I stumbled upon Eden Animal Sanctuary (and Manfred!) with a Craig's List search. They're a chelonian specific rescue that operates on a private property. They rehabilitate surrendered turtles/tortoises and find the PERFECT homes for them, if they're considered adoptable. Filled out an "I'm interested" form on AdoptAPet.com and FB messaged the sanctuary (https://www.facebook.com/edenanimalsanctuary), letting them know that I'd submitted the form. Rachel responded to my message within minutes, sending me the adoption application and asking for pictures of my set up. The application was long and very thorough. I was a little nervous filling it out, even though I knew that Manfred belonged with me and that I could give him an amazing life (and that I'm going to have to put him in my will because he will likely outlive me). Then the waiting began. I was anxiously prepared to wait over a weekend (as I'd sent in the application on a Thursday evening), but, on Friday afternoon, I received an email saying that I'd been approved! I may or may not have danced around like an idiot for the rest of the day. Just kidding, I totally did. The following Saturday, a couple friends and I made our way to an adoption event in Spring Branch, where the rescue had a presence. I had no difficulty ignoring all the adoptable dogs (not usually the case with me) at the event as I made my way to the turtle/tortoise table. I knew it was my Manfred the moment I saw him. I chatted with Rachel a little bit and filled out his adoption form, promising to return him to the sanctuary if I could no longer care for him. I was also able to meet a couple of the other chelonians from the rescue, including a teenaged sulcata named Radar and three box turtles. I paid my adoption fee (donations and adoption fees go towards building habitats and caring for the chelonians) and skipped away with my new, best reptile buddy. All in all, I can't recommend Eden Animal Sanctuary enough. It's obvious to me that Rachel loves what she does and loves the animals even more.
