Love this place! A nice quiet place to go and have a little lunch and relax in the homey style of this old home transformed into a cute little coffee and lunch place. Their sandwiches are very good. And they have many kinds of coffee and cold drinks. Each room is so nice with the decorations and the outside on a nice day is very good too. The playground for this kids makes this the perfect spot for letting the little ones run some of their energy out. Another plus, they have a thrift store behind the house where you can drop of donations or shop in their thrift store. They also have a higher end thrift store next to the food pantry! Still the most wonderful place to come and have coffee and a biscuit or a muffin. Very cozy, very friendly and their selection of drip brew is good. They have an outdoor patio with umbrellas, which is a great place to just sit and sip your coffee. When we walked in, the place was packed--they were hosting a Santa event for the kids, which added such a fun, festive vibe. I instantly loved how cozy it felt, like stepping into someone's living room. They also have a great outdoor space with a fenced-in playground for kids. I only wish it hadn't been raining so we could've enjoyed it! For breakfast, I had an iced mocha and a spicy potato egg taco, and both were absolutely delicious. Love this coffee shop. It's run by the organizers of the Hope Center, which is a local food pantry. All proceeds from the sale of coffee and goods go towards supporting the Hope Center and local communities. The coffee house is perched on top of a small hill right off of HWY 281, and offers ample parking along with spacious seating both inside and outside on the dog-friendly patio. When we were here, one of the workers brought out a water bowl and pup cup with a strip of bacon to welcome our furry child to the house. Today, we ordered an Oat Cappuccino and an Oat Iced White Mocha with a chorizo breakfast taco and sticky bun. The espressos were tasty as was the food. They source their espresso beans from Gruene, which weren't too acidic which we appreciated. They also have a small playground for kids outside with additional tables and chairs under oak trees. I'm sure this would be a great spot for any morning caffeine boost. We'll be back! read more

Coolest nonprofit coffee house that I have ever been to. I was looking for a place to interview someone for a position that I was hiring for and found this gem. This place couldn't have any more character. There is plenty of parking and The Loft Coffee House is literally a house! It is very clean on the inside and the staff is super friendly. I ordered a hot white chocolate mocha and took a seat. They have a lot of different seating options to fit your needs. Shortly after sitting down they brought me my coffee. It tasted amazing. We love coming to the loft. The inside is spacious with large tables for working or meeting with a group. It's super cozy. Outside they have patio seating and a great (fenced in!) playground for the kids. If you're looking for the best cup of coffee and the absolute best customer service this isn't the place, we keep coming back for everything else this place offers. The service is just slow, everyone is nice and wonderful but you do have to wait what feels like forever, even if the place is dead. Atmosphere leads to a great place to study, work, or visit. It even has a real "loft". The help is so friendly, and they make you feel at home. They also make some great recommendations. Cute and quaint little coffee house. It was a peaceful little place. The staff was friendly and wonderful. There's plenty of seating inside. The outside has a good amount of seating as well, and there's also a playground. It's very green and shaded and the strung lights bring a nice touch to the outdoor area. We didn't get coffee, so I can't speak on that. We had oatmeal with fruit and a bagel. They were both fresh and very good. Chocolate milk and orange juice were our drinks of choice. We walked in around 10 am on a Saturday and they're out of everything except cereal and yogurt basically. No breakfast tacos, no lunch options, no quiches left. If I wanted cereal I would've stayed home. They tell us they have avocado toast but it's not on the menu- so we don't know how much it is- what comes on it- another problem. So I'm settling for overpriced avocado toast because it's all they have to offer. Other people didn't get served what they ordered until they reminded them and ended up leaving upset too. They have moved their location from near 281/46 to about 2 miles or so up the road. Their new establishment is GREAT. It's a renovated farm house with various seating areas. The Loft is part of a ministry in the area so most of he profits go to helping those in need in the area. Their menu has expanded and they offer some unique breakfast and lunch items. Typical breakfast things to try are their sticky buns, kolache's quiche, breakfast tacos, oatmeal with fresh fruit (stone cut) etc. I can vouch for everything listed. A neat thing is when you come in, there are cups hanging on the wall, you take one and can order 1 cup or bottomless. (Coffees are gourmet and ethically grown) If you are on the way to the hill country, forget Starbucks (GASP!) and stop and have a great cup of joe with some great people. read more
