Neither my daughter or I live in North Carolina so we had to travel. When I first reached out to the owner Nicole she was very pleasant and it made me feel comfortable to spend my money with her. She provided me all the details involved in my package and I was satisfied with the details and what I was getting for my money so, I locked in. Once locked in Nicole's communication changed. She took forever to respond back to my questions about decor and then proceeded to tell me we have plenty of time to go over decorations because my shower is in January and we will get tighter in December to discuss. I understood and tried not to bother her unless I had questions that needed to be answered from my caterer. December arrives and still nothing so o reached out and again I had to wait for a response. By this time I'm getting anxious because I have already paid the full amount for the for the event. When I did finally speak with her, I asked if we can have a Zoom meeting because I am from out of town to see what she had decorating wise, and she proceeded to tell me that she had not purchased the item yet, but she will have them the day of the shower that made me real uneasy. I contacted her on my way into town to inform her that I will be there and ask if I can come see the venue prior to the baby shower which was three days before and she told me that she would not be available until the morning of that again made me real uneasy because I didn't know what I was walking into. I was informed by my Caterer that she didn't even know what time the event started and she stated that she didn't realize it was that earl. I have never worked with a professional that I was unable to see the event space or the decorations and give my stamp of approval since I am the paying customer and this is my vision that they are bringing to life. On the day of the shower, I received a text message from Nicole that informed me that I can now come before 10 am at 9:15am. I replied back that I was going to be late and Nicole called me 30 minutes later to informed me she had left the venue and proceeded to give me instructions on Cleanup. I was in shock when she said she left because I had never met this woman. Once arrived I had trouble finding the venue because it's inside a building and she had me come through the back. The building has horrible reception and I issues with getting directions from Nicole without going outside because her venue is located on the basement. When I finally got down in the basement and saw the spot I was immediately disappointed. The decorations were lack luster. A lot of wall space that had not been covered with decorations. The table formula daughter and husband to sit at was barely decorated and I didn't care for it at all. I couldn't get anything to work until she finally provided me the WiFi and then only the music I was able to get to work, but I was able was unable to use the tv to do the slideshow of pics we discussed. The bathrooms are on the outside of the venue which isn't a problem unless you have a key which I didn't have and I had to keep asking the ladies across the hall for the key as they were trying to braid hair. No tissue in the rest rooms so we had to figure out who to ask. Had she waited around for my arrival to greet me as a paying customer and give me instructions and a tour in person things could've been a little better knowing your service sucks in a basement. Needless to say, I did not enjoy myself and I tried to keep my cool for my daughter's sake. I wanted this to turn out beautiful. We traveled way too far for mediocrity and I paid a good penny for her service that was very lackluster and unprofessional. I'm just now settling to write this review because I was so disappointed. I couldn't even talk to her when she decided to come at the end for clean up because I didn't want to make a scene and embarrass my child. This experience has put a bad taste in my mouth about planning an event out of state. I hate giving bad reviews, but this experience was horrible.

Based on what I have seen, this is definitely going to be a great location to do almost any type of party or event. It's very spacious, there's a huge lobby to receive guest and plenty of space to host any size party or event. Oh yes, and there's plenty parking. The pictures I've posted are set up for Hollywood themed prom and as you can see is very spacious with plenty of room for everything including a 360 Photo area. I had the pleasure of meeting Anthony who does the food servicing for the event space and he represents Bistro catering which comes highly recommended by 601 Milestone venue. In the very near future, this location will be designed to be broken down for seven different events, which gives you an idea of the amount of space in this venue. Not only are you trying to navigate through the large twisting and turning space, but you're also trying to find a series of clues that have a theme. This was definitely one of the more difficult mazes that I've ever done. I went on Halloween and was also pleasantly surprised by the buckets of candy placed throughout the maze During COVID, they did a good job at managing crowds by having people buy tickets for certain time slots. The staff was wearing masks and asked people to wear masks during the beginning and end of the maze.

It's a quaint, restored throwback to the era when the Scots and the Davidsons timbered forests, tilling them into fields and farms. Eventually, the area was established and is known by their name. The Davidson family cemetery is prominently lined with a beautiful stone wall and is open most days. Trails exists for walking but not many use them (which is why I like going). There is an old dirt road that eventaually dead ends at a small shelter overlooking a pond--I think it leaves many disappointed. There's not much to see once you arrive and ALL the land is a County preserve with trespassing not allowed (yep, they got trail cams so if fishing is your plan, you've been warned). The magic, really, is the road itself. It winds through the woodlands for a couple miles with little traffic. I often park and walk portions with my binoculars. I grew up on such a road in Upstate New York. Fond memories rekindle. I am reminded of how happy was my childhood. Sometimes I see turkeys, deer, ospreys, and coyotes. Looking for a leisurely way to spend some time away? I say "give it a whirl." Breath it all in!

Parking was plentiful! Service was slow, but they were down about 4 staff members so there was literally only one person taking orders, preparing and serving the food, so we completely understood. And plus the service was great so it definitely made up for it! They paired the girl scout cookies with the wine and had us score the pairing. The host was very engaging and gave us a description and origin of each wine that was selected. I've neve experienced anything like this, it was so engaging and well orchestrated. They had a small menu of items that you could order for small bites. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which was really yummy! And the garlic Parmesean wings, the wings had a bit of a kick to them and were a bit too salty for my liking, but they were cooked well and very meaty, if you like that sort thing! They also had 5 dollar drinks/cocktails available to order a well. The entire time they had a DJ playing all the hits and after the wine tasting, people got up and danced, laughed and had a good Ole time on the dance floor. It was such a great experience! Working with the owner Tena Steen was a pleasure. She made access extremely easy and was great to work with. The venue would easily hold 80 for a sit down dinner with a space for those that want to get their groove on to music. We had a 70th birthday party there today and it was quite a success!
