I was interested in Eagles rain gear, and you had a minimal selection. And Chase showed me a very thin Eagles zip-up hoodie as a cross-sell, and it's $109.99. C'mon. It's both insulting and ridiculous. Plus, your Retail Floor Plan is overwhelming. Everything's too close together. Finding items, even items I may not be looking for but would consider buying if it peaks my interest, is a challenge. It really was a disappointing and underwhelming shopping experience overall.

But, Queen Village is the resource for one-of-a-kind "sole" style. Bus Stop Boutique, located on Fabric Row, is a cleanly merchandised space that is oozing with fashionable footwear, nearly impossible to find anywhere else in town. To those of you who have never visited this heel heaven, don't be alarmed if you suddenly feel an unfamiliar utopia upon entering the store. A boutique like this is a rare find in Philadelphia. London-born Elena Brennan opened Bus Stop a few years ago to bring unique designer labels like Irregular Choice, 80%20, and Corso Como to the fashionistas of the City of Brotherly Love. She is very much a part of the shopping experience as she is incredibly helpful when deciding between that funky short boot and the more practical yet oh-so-darling pump. There are so many different styles. Some are bold in color, others are progressive in design. Shoe lovers may have trouble deciding which pair to try on first. You'll fall in love with Elena, and she'll love you right back by offering amazing seasonal deals. She celebrates holidays like Veterans Day and Halloween with 10% off. Plus, Bus Stop Boutique hosts monthly events like BUS STOP + Art where emerging artists take center state at the boutique, and BUS STOP + Etc. featuring local fashion and accessories designers. Give your soles some sass and head to Bus Stop Boutique.

It's a small space tucked away in Fabric Row, run by a British woman, who is very kind and sweet and even chic! Talking shoes with this woman made even me feel like my patronage at Aerosoles was equivalent to patronage at Wal-Mart. I felt like a cheap dirtball who never knew you could have a -gasp- pleasant shoe buying experience! The shoes range from boots to flats to heels to avant-garde to earthy casual. They're not all outrageously expensive, but if you wanted to pay a few hundred bucks for shoes here, I'm sure you could. Like I said, I didn't buy anything, but next time I'm in need of a pair of solid shoes, you'll know where to find me!

They have all of the current vendors of fitness shoes for walking, running, cross training etc. They also have very high quality socks, economically priced. When I participated in a drive to supply the homeless with winter socks, I bought a bunch of packs here a couple of years ago. I think it's crazy to pay retail when you have this in Delaware County.
