Cute boutique Hilton property in downtown Stamford, smaller and more "cozy" and different from the large properties nearby. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and bars and Target and movie theater too! Rooms are decent size (I was in a deluxe king), plenty of space between foot of the bed and the TV. Bathroom is on the smaller size, and little counter space as well. The hallways are also a bit narrow (reminds me of NYC hotels) but nothing problematic. Nespresso pods are restocked every day, mini fridge is a nice small size for sodas and wines. Note that ice machines are only on floors 4 and 7. A few reviews mentioned walls being thin; I didn't experience loud noises at all. I heard a few voices in the hallway occasionally, but nothing late into the night. Pillows are nice and firm, and bed was comfy. Staff is always great; Samuel at the front desk checked me in back in July and he helped me again this past week. Housekeeping also very nicely left me a new cleaning wipe next to my glasses (I didn't even ask for them!), v cute with the Lloyd logo on it. I like that this property is on the smaller side, so if you prefer to not be with huge crowds like at nearby larger chains, this is the place for you. read more

Stayed here recently and was a bit disappointed with the accommodations. This is not the hotel to stay in if you are a light sleeper. The walls are super thin where you can hear TV, talking, flushing and even the elevator down the hall. Almost seems like zero insulation between rooms. The AC units are the old fashioned style under the windows and the bathrooms are tiny. It was clearly a very old hotel prior that did a Home Depot style reno. Very basic ammenitities although the TV worked well and was new and thankfully had Netflix. Flight of stairs from street level to lobby. read more

Lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful and modern. SO quiet. Rooms are spacious and the bed was very comfy. I loved the shampoo/soap products and the plush bathrobe. Nespresso in the room was great. I stayed at this hotel last weekend. As soon as I got to my room, I noticed staining on the sheets. I called the front desk and they sent someone up to change them only to have more stained sheets. If the complaining to the manager, he said he would give me a 20% discount which he never did. I would be very careful about staying here. These stains are not normal And the manager tried to tell me that it's the cleaning agent. No way with the cleaning agent leave these stains. Stay at another hotel. read more

One night stay after crazy traffic! Hotel was clean and comfortable. $30 valet which was reasonable and we were tired so worked out fine. Besides bar and bar food options, there are apparently plenty restaurants within walking distance. Our stay was more of a shower, get rest and move on to destination. We did hear the cars because a downtown spot but it seemed to settle down the later it got. It didn't bother us and we managed to get some much needed sleep. read more

I had high hopes for this property because I have found the Tapestry collection from Hilton pleasant places to stay. That said, I won't be back to this property. We pulled up last night and nobody came out for valet even though we saw someone standing inside the doorway. We walked in and asked and was told by the valet guy that we had to get a ticket from the desk. My expectation if I am paying for valet is that someone will be there to meet the car when we arrive. The room itself looked fine upon first entering. The aesthetics are fine and it was clean which I always appreciate. During the night there were a ton of loud buzzing noises and clicks and ticks. In the bathroom the strip that keeps water in the shower was pulled off the shower door. The shower handle was loose and seemed like it was not attached to the wall. When I got out of the shower I expected that the fan would leave the mirror clear. It did not. Upon looking at the fan on the ceiling I saw that it was covered in dust. The breakfast choices in the morning were decent. We had a bagel and an overnight oats cup. Both were sufficient and the dining area is pleasant. The staff in the dining area were very friendly as well as the housekeeping staff we encountered. Overall this hotel was fine for one night but I wouldn't stay here again and I question why this is in Hilton's Tapestry collection. read more

It looks so nice. But the walls are very thin, we heard neighbor's alarms and such. And the toilet is so close to the vanity, it's very hard to sit on. Our stay was great. The staff was amazing which made our experience great. The manager Autro was so accommodating to us. Sam was a pleasure and showed concern when I was sick. She even checked on me in the room which I appreciated. This location gave you shuttle service which was great! The drivers were polite and very courtesy towards us. The coffee bar was fine but if you are looking for big breakfast you will need to leave the hotel. The overall customer service was great. Our room was clean and the very fancy. We loved that there was no carpet, during allergy season can be difficult. They will see us again! read more

Stayed at the LLOYD for 1 night in December and I was very happy with my stay. The staff was very helpful and communicative. I arranged for the free shuttle to pick me up from the train station and the driver was very good at giving me directions on where to meet him. The shuttle service all in all was amazing. I used it to get around to my all destinations during my stay. The coolest thing is if you have the Hilton app you're able to choose your room and also head right to your room upon arrival. No front desk needed. Your phone is your key. The decor and aesthetic was amazing. One of the prettiest hotels I've ever stayed at. Booked for 1 week stay and stayed in room 611 with broken main door knob and bathroom shades that does not go all the way down. I reported to front desk and was advised that bathroom shades won't be fixed until next week and that broken door can't be checked/fixed until the next day. I asked if I can be transferred to another room and hotel staff said that they are sold out. This is a major security and privacy issue for my family. I just find it hard to believe that a Hilton brand hotel does not have any after hours or on-call maintenance. Or if worst comes to worst, work with nearby Hilton hotels to provide a safe and comfortable accommodation. In addition, which is also a big deal, the hotel is not wheelchair or stroller friendly. To get to the main lobby from the front/outside, you have to go through the side door and pass their narrow office and laundry area. Not acceptable at all! I am a Hilton Honors Gold member during that stay and very disappointed overall. read more

By far the best hotel in Stamford, CT. It feels like a charming boutique hotel, has a fabulous gym, is clean and charming. There are espresso pods in the room. In this day and age having "in room" coffee seems like a luxury. Stamford has been a tricky spot to find a nice hotel in. The larger brands are dated and dirty. Even for this Bonvoy girl, I'm staying here every time I need to travel through the area. It's worth not getting the points Btw...the people are nice, coffee bar in the lobby, valet parking and self parking around the corner, water bottles and sparkling gym, bathrobes, feels like something a little extra special! read more

The hotel is attractive and well positioned in town. The room was clean and modern and mostly comfortable. Having said that the service is PUTRID!!! There were no valets to help.there were no parking attendants in the building! We had to park,2 blocks away and carry our luggage to the hotel And up to our room. Disappointing, especially at that price. There is NO ATTACHED PARKING. After waiting 15 minutes (behind 4 other arriving guests) a valet finally appeared and directed us to nearest garage. Garage was very reasonable ($17 for 24 hours), but it is not connected in any way to hotel. So we dragged our luggage down a flight of stairs ( no garage exit for pedestrians on ground floor) around the block to front of hotel and back up another flight of stairs to hotel lobby. King standard room is very very small. And very noisy. We could hear detailed conversations in the hall. And were awakened early the next morning by a screaming child in a distant room. Still zero stars. Huge do not stay. After 5 days, the hotel is putting all the blame on booking.com. Booking.com is blaming the hotel. The manager did offer a discounted stay but since I'm not going back to Stamford for the foreseeable future it is essentially worthless. This is also not a Hilton affiliated hotel (despite the name) so the buck apparently stops with them and they take zero responsibility. I would not stay at this place just knowing that if something doesn't go right, you're 100% on your own. Even if it's 1am in Stamford and hotels are full. read more

Good quality hotel. Great location. Good customer service. Clean rooms. Decent bathrooms. HVAC system seemed to have some trouble cooling room but nothing that wasn't tolerable as eventually room cooled down. The only thing I'd say is that there is never parking available. Including valet parking. Always have to park around the building about a 5 min walk or so but not terrible, which is why I gave 4 stars because of parking. read more

I stayed for one night back in June and just booked for another night in November. Positives: new hotel and new room. Well-appointed room with blackout curtains. No noise from the street at all. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I love the toiletries. Small negative: I imagine it's not set up for the typical road warrior, as there was only a small desk on which to use my laptop - not much in the way of a desk. Negative: as mentioned in other reviews, the steps just inside the hotel entrance are not easy to manage with luggage. Did not get so much as a glance my way from the front desk staff; the front desk is right in front of the steps, so it's not as if they didn't see me. Solution to another negative: Parking is limited and expensive. However, there is a parking lot no more than 100 meters behind the hotel. It's one of those automated ones - there's a machine you can pay using a credit card, decide how many hours you need, and it spits out a piece of paper that you need to put inside your car on the dashboard, so it can be seen from the outside. It's called Bell Street Garage. Solution to another negative: I didn't try any of the food services at the hotel. I came in late at night and all the food outlets were closed. But there is an absolutely amazing Ecuadorian food truck 90-degrees from the hotel when you walk out of the parking garage (corner Clark/Main). It was still open at midnight! In the morning, I drove out right away to continue my trip, but there are a couple good looking cafes and breakfast places on Main St. - no real need to eat at the hotel as options exist less than a 5-minute walk away. read more

Exterior noise level: Very high. Interior: No carpeting. The guest above me walked back and forth at least 50 times between 6:30 and 7:00 am. Piping: You can hear water flow from other guests taking late night and early morning showers. I wanted to live this hotel but overall I like to sleep without interruption and sadly this is not the place to get a good night's sleep. read more

The hotel manager Daniel, was by that the most unprofessional, discourteous and mis informed hotel employee I've ever encountered. He knocked at my hotel door at 11:18 am when my travel agent had booked 1pm check outs for myself and my partner. He was aggressive and insisting, trying to dominate the conversation and would not actually absorb what I was saying to him. He demanded I vacate the room and I informed him he should check with our travel agent and was I not rude back. Ultimately he backed down when he got his facts straight. However coming to a room and demanding things without having the facts of the reservation, less than 30 minutes after official check out time is just not the experience any hotel guest should have. My travel agent won't be using this hotel ever again. read more

Do not recommend. Supposed to be a "Higher end" hotel, but it offers nothing of what you would expect from a Hilton affiliated hotel. The room was clean but just a basic room. The staff was bored and not interested in helping, almost rude. An attempt to get coffee in the morning was met with "we don't take cash" Really? So my wife had to go back to our room to get a card for a small luke warm coffee. It offers no extras that you'd expect from a Hilton...the bar wasn't even open at all during the day we spent there. The staff has no problem holding you up in the elevator while they push their cleaning carts into it and go to their floor while we, the customer, waits. Could not take our car keys with us, MUST leave them at the desk and deal with the Valet that wasn't there when we wanted to leave. We had to actually pressure the desk clerk to give us our keys so we could leave! AND $30.00 to park your car!? Resorts in Florida charge less! Stay was fine. Hotel was nice. Morning coffee was a huge plus. My company decided to change the length of my stay. I notified the front desk upon check in. Hotel was paid in full prior to arrival. I checked out on November 12. After a half a dozen calls and at least that many emails, I still do not have the refund. Spoken to both Hilton and the hotel and neither has been helpful. So I am out almost $700 for two nights I did not stay there. It is December 5th and still no refund, even though the hotel sent a receipt saying refund was initiated on November 10. I would not advise staying at this hotel or any Hilton for that matter. Their customer service will treat you as an annoyance. Even when you have been a loyal Honors customer for years! My next step is contacting the Better Business Bureau. read more

The rooms are very nicely done with just the right amount of space you would expect from a boutique hotel. I stayed at The Lloyd 2 weeks ago during a short business trip and it was great. I got in around 1 A.M. and the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming.
