I wanted to buy some earings for my 6 year old niece,a and they helped me find a perfect pair. Very very nice people, and great customer service. I had to email them to ask where the print was once it had been released. Then it of course arrived 2 days later so they clearly forgot my order which led to my having been sent number 42 of 50. Not one of the first as I was told when I pre ordered. They opened to the public and sold for a week before sending mine. Despite telling me I would have a very low number. It also has a mark on it which is not part of the design. This was a gift for my wife not just something to collect. They completely ignored my request and lied. Not sure how more incompetent they can be. I will never use this sham gallery again. You have ruined what was a 40th birthday present with your utter laziness and incompetence. I recommend Sara Pope use better galleries that don't lie to sell more works.

Tash tori is brilliant. Towns like Lewes so often have cutesy little shops to buy crafting items…read morewhich are overpriced, precious, and usually have one quite rude woman who just wants your cash/ you to leave. Tash tori isn't like any if those places. For a small shop it has almost everything a crafter might need in small amounts. If you ask any of the staff for suggestions about some weird project you're working on, from making a card, to colouring the face of a puppet, they'll come up with very helpful suggestions, and you can tell straight away that they aren't offering you the highest priced option for the sake of it. It's the best arts and crafts shop I've found outside of America, and certainly one of the best in the Sussex area.

They stock a few balls of wool, some coloured papers and cards, stickers, and so on. It doesn't appear to be terribly expensive, and they also hold some events/classes there; there was a poster in the window advertising an upcoming card making demonstration.

Looking like the entrance to a Native American themed ride at a theme park, places like Two…read moreFeathers do tend to engender a degree of cynicism in me. Actually, perhaps not cynicism so much as sadness. I find it saddening that the secularism of our age, the exposure of mainstream religion as at least largely redundant, and at worst actively harmful, has had the effect of turning 'spirituality,' (a far more common human need/feeling than many contemporary atheists would like to admit) into just another commodity to be packaged and sold. It saddens me that people in Brighton - or any other place for that matter - feel a lack in their lives, a disconnectedness from nature or perhaps the world at large, that they don't fully understand and so seek to remedy buy buying a £17.95 'aura spray' from somewhere like Two Feathers. It saddens me that people look around at their own lives, and find it so barren of meaning that the only thing they can think to do is to appropriate someone else's culture; as though wearing moccasins and buying crystals will allow them access to a spiritual understanding. Not that I think the people that run the shops or make the goods are bad people, cynical capitalists who want to make money out of people's spiritual malaise: I think they believe in it themselves and want to share it with others. I just think it's a shame that people can't find a way of giving their lives meaning, or a feeling of connectedness without having to shell out a load of money buying into cultural references which don't really fit them.

I'm guessing it's called rehab because you are 'rehabilitating' second hand clothes by wearing them again? Having been into Reload, another 'dress agency' where they were selling old Topshop cardies for upwards of £20, I was suspicious of the Rehab stock. Most of the items seemed to be priced between £40 and £60. I would feel a bit put off about paying that amount of money for second hand clothing, however my mum assured me that the labels they were selling were worth a lot more than that. There was a Betty Jackson dress for £60, and a lovely Ciel flower print dress with capped sleeves in the window. The lady in the shop was also very friendly and helpful. Rehab has gone some way towards 'rehabilitating' my opinion of dress agency shops.

Half woman-half cheese grater, for instance. Ice scrapers, dust pans and scissors had been transformed into works of art; and the wall of cuckoo clocks released a variety of animals on the hour. The sales clerks were very friendly and helpful - I was immediately greeted, which I've noticed is a rarity, and I overheard one clerk advising a man on what his 25 year old daughter would probably enjoy. She was able to tell him which items were top sellers for that age group. Also impressive. So, it felt more like walking through a gallery - and several of the items would make great gifts and conversation starters.
