When I visited them recently, I found them extra helpful. I required a caligraphy pen, the mananger showed me the selection, and later reminded me that the pens were the dip in type, so then got me some ink, I paid that with a birthday card already found. I went away with that old fashion feeling of service satisfaction.The manager did say the Sussex Stationers a few doors away had been bought by W.H. Smith since closure. I do not think they can compete with this service! read more

I went in this shop recently to buy a cook book. They had a good selection and at good prices. What impressed me most was the sales assistants, they were brilliant. They were very friendly and gave me some tips on cooking. One of them even offered to write a recipe out for me that I could pick up another day. Will definately use this shop again and would highly recommend it to others. read more

They actually talked me out of buying a few bits, and advised I dyed her old dance shoes rather than buying new ones. Have been using this shop for ages-greatest selection of cards within a good fifty miles radius and the stationery is cheaper than Viking direct Staff all friendly and the manager exceptional and is an asset to the town I needed something for my wife and he couldn't have been more helpful-ordered goods and at a great price -I'm going to get my childrens party invites made here Absolutly brilliant shop read more

I recently visited this shop one Saturday as I was looking at purchasing a pen for my husbands birthday. Upon entry into the shop I was greeted by a very nice young man, He then helped me out selecting which pen was right for me, he offered lots of advice and was very helpful in letting me try the pens.
