I called Evans Case later to see why the attorney never called - apparently their scheduler simply never put my appointment in the books. The receptionist seemed to deflect blame back to me and questioned if I actually had an appointment and I replied with specific details that seemed to appease her gatekeeper mentality. "We're only human, sir!" Understood, but lack of detail orientation, general sloppiness, and needless finger pointing are not qualities I particularly seek in an attorney. I'm assuming this mistake was tossed aside by those that caused it and the people at Evans Case that might care (the attorneys) would be none the wiser. That's why I'm writing this. Lawyers are easy to find. Paying clients are not. Cheers.

Not Recommended: Poor Legal Representation from Kelley Rider…read more I hired attorney Kelley Rider in February 2025 to modify my maintenance and child support due to a significant income decline. Despite initial optimism from a recommendation, the experience was deeply disappointing. Communication quickly became problematic. Responses were limited, typically coming from paralegals who cited Kelley's absence for continuing education. When I addressed these issues in mid-March, Kelley apologized and offered a full refund if I wanted to terminate services--an offer I regret not accepting. The final straw came in early April when I reviewed the poorly drafted Motions to Modify, which contained multiple typos including errors in my ex-wife's name and date of birth (information clearly provided in my original Separation Agreement). The documents appeared to be prepared by paralegals without proper oversight. After the two paralegals apparently left the firm (based on auto-replies to emails sent to Kelley and them), and receiving no response for days, I terminated services. I lost $3,753 in legal fees with no refund, and no motions were ever filed. My follow-up email requesting an explanation for this deplorable representation went unanswered. I cannot recommend this firm or Kelley Rider based on this experience of inadequate communication, substandard work product, and financial loss.
