    How cool! Made from legos
    Vanessa T.

What a fun store to pop into! My daughter dragged me in and it was too cool! I was happy to see so many Lego sets and they were reasonable priced like starting at $10. They also have a really cute station where the kids can make 3 Lego people ( head, hats, hair, body, accessories) for $10, daughter loved it, employees friendly and helpful! Fun stop to break up the shopping trip!

I'm a Lego addict. I knew my wallet would be in trouble once this store opened at the St John's Town Center. It isn't all that large, but they have a good selection of sets from various themes. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. I walked in with an arm in a sling due to surgery and didn't even need to ask for help before it was offered.

So I forgot about covid and promised my grandson he could go to the store and play with the legos on a Sat. When we got there the place was empty of play tables and only had the boxed merchandise for sale on the walls.. Which is great they are very covid active and I am happy about that but I ended up spending a lot more money because I felt bad my grandson couldnt Play lol....they have friendly staff at the store and very eager to help. The place is absolutely clean and Lego bright and who doesn't feel Happy when surrounded by cute Lego people especially those Minions. I am happy they have a store location in JAX and look forwarded to play there another day!

Great service. We were greeted right when we walked in and asked if we needed help. We built our mini figurines and signed up for a vip club! The kids were happy to say the least.

First time in there and I was amazed at all of the cool Legos. I will definitely go back. Good place to take the kiddos to get them to use their imagination and think outside of the box.

My daughter accompanied me here. She was wow'ed by how LEGO has progressed! That look of amazement reminiscent of when she was 4. Children and adults alike can amass a mountain size pile of LEGOs...your imagination is the limit! Even better...there are now LEGO sets to compartmentalize specific themes, with instructions. LEGO has even made an app you can download to make your creations come to life more readily. Any theme you can think of probably already has a LEGO kit. Your challenge, if you choose to accept: create your own rad concoction. Please see accompanying pics.

Compared to other Lego Stores I've been to, this is on the smaller side. However, they carry all the sets I was looking for--Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney Collection, etc. Also, the service was great and many of the workers went out of their way to help others find very specific sets. Seeing as how this was their Grand opening weekend, they had a lot of activities for children and they brought out master builder Dan to put together a huge lego Yoda. I really wanted to get the Star Wars Imperial Battle Cruiser, but I can't afford those Lego premiums ($$$$).

Friendly staff in great location. Store was a little smaller than I expected but they still had a good amount of inventory.

The energy is always high, the vibes are immaculate, and the staff keeps the shelves stocked with a ridiculous variety of comics, collectibles, action figures, FUNKO Pops, short boxes, supplies, and more. It's literally the kind of place where you can lose an hour without even realizing it. First off, say hello to Pacer, the AMAZING shop dog and official mascot of Gotham City Limit. He's the sweetest, the best greeter, and the best browsing buddy. Who doesn't want to shop with a good boy by your side? If you don't see Ben, you'll definitely hear his greeting from somewhere in the store as that man is just nonstop. Ben's dedication shows, especially on Free Comic Book Day and special release days, when Gotham City Limit turns into a full-blown celebration. On top of that, he partners with Jacksonville Public Library when they host comic-centered events and you'll see him at different conventions throughout the year. Ben makes sure everyone, from kids to hardcore collectors, feels welcome and included. Also big love to Jonathan (one of the OGs of comic shops in Jax) and Santana, who are always ready to talk storylines, their newest recommendations, or help you find the one issue that you didn't know you were missing. My pull list will ebb and flow depending on what is being released or if I want single issues of something. However, the numero uno items that I always want to see are the latest Baby Marvel covers from Skottie Young. The team has my account tagged for those specifically, and that kind of attention to detail is incredible. It's the kind of personal touch that makes you feel truly seen as a collector and fan. Gotham City Limit is a little slice of geeky heaven in Jax and one of the last remaining locally owned comic shops in this area of town. So make sure to swing by for a visit sometime soon and, as Ben says, always take it to the limit!

This is my first yelp review ever, and that goes to show how awful this place is due to the fact…read morethat I'm signing up just to sway people from going here. I've been to this place three times and after my third visit I'll no longer go back and here's why. On my third visit, I gathered up three of my friends to go there and we're from Jax Beach so it's not a short drive. I bought some figures last time I was there and was hoping to see more. We got there and he told us that the AC is broken, and it has been for well over a month but I honestly didn't care that much. We get in and there's hardly any room to walk around. There's boxes everywhere and it was extremely cluttered but he kept commenting to be careful if we tried to pick up boxes and look and what's underneath. I only saw two power rangers figures and asked if he had any more and he said, "There's some over there, and on top of that thing but too bad nobody cares about power rangers." The last time I was in I bought power rangers and he made a rude comment about how terrible power rangers are and how they're a rip off and he doesn't understand why anyone would like them. Mind you, this is while I'm literally handing him money and he's making fun of me for buying it. I'm not upset at him dissing power rangers because I could care less. But imagine if you were at Publix and you bought a Turkey sub and you get to the register and the cashier says, "You like Turkey subs? What kind of loser are you? Turkey subs are absolutely disgusting." After he told me how much he was asking for certain figures, which were extremely overpriced, I stopped looking. My buddy saw a box of He-man figures behind the shelf and attempted to walk back to pick them up and the owner said, "Hey man! You can't go back there." So my friend had to ask him to go grab the figures. He did and said he wanted $100 for the whole box. My friend just wanted one of the figures and the owner said, "Well I'm selling the box because I don't know how much they go for individually, all my prices are at home." Okay... cool. Then he was saying how many G.I Joes he had(another thing my friend collects.) He said, can I see them? He left all of them at his house with some other ridiculous excuse. He's apparently been buying more merchandise to fill the store up instead of fixing his AC. I know this review makes me sound like a total douchebag and that I'm a stickler and such but I'm not. Bottom line is, the owner is unbelievably rude and unorganized and shows no care to the few people that come into his store, which is nearly impossible to find. His figures are overpriced. I'm never going back and I highly recommend you don't give this place your business.
