Also if you care about your personal safety or your property then don't live here (we experienced criminal trespassing, both cars being damaged by hit and runs and my packages being stolen daily now...) and unless you don't mind animal feces in the hallways and walls (I noticed they clean really well the areas they are about to show a new potential resident however so I would stick living in those areas I guess). I could write a lot more but it's primarily for these reasons that we are not renewing our lease. It's not all negative however since when we first moved here it was not like this for about a year but it has gone drastically downhill which is sad because this place used to be lovely. read more

I loved living here!! I loved how green the property is and how I always had pretty trees outside my window. Maintenance crew always responded quickly and would fix the issue while you're at work. The location is amazing and you can easily walk to Starbucks/UPS,etc or Bayou Park. When our lease was coming to an end, I moved out a month early and they even terminated my lease earlier so I didn't have to pay another month's rent. The month to month after your lease is also not an extra cost from your normal rent. Management is easy to work with and doesn't make living there complicated. Loved the huge field backing up to the bayou and pool and hot tub! All the residents are also fairly quiet. Not a party place. Only negatives is the parking spaces are tight and the exterior of the apartments is definitely outdated. But the interior is updated which arguably is more important. read more

This is by far the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. Management is absolutely useless. If you have a dog or small child - I would consider looking elsewhere. The location of these apartments is why my husband and I chose to move here - this has tuned out to be the only good thing. The main issue here is management and their lack of enforcing their own rules. I have complained to the front office regarding multiple residents not leashing their aggressive dogs SEVERAL times. Most of the time they will just ignore you or send back a snarky message like I've posted below. The last time this apartment complex sent out a message about unleashes dogs was 9/27/22 - absolutely nothing since then regardless of my multiple attempts to have them do so. People treat the picnic area as their own designated dog park with no respect to other members of this community who have dogs and management will not do anything about it. read more

Great place to live! One of the best apartment staff that I have ever interacted with. The entire team was personable, knowledgeable, and hard working. From the first time I called to inquire about living at Left Bank River Oaks to the day I moved out, the team there was a pleasure to work with and helpful. They literally have the best staff! I also appreciate that they have various options for leasing. I moved to Left Bank River Oaks with the intention on buying a home so I did not want to sign a year lease. It was difficult finding apartments that offered the option to sign a lease for less than a year. The apartment is well kept and in a central location. If I had any issues with the apartment, the maintenance team corrected it immediately. It was nice to live in an apartment where I felt so well taken care of. The Left Bank River Oaks is a great place for those who want to live in a central place in Houston and live in a beautiful community. read more

Left Bank at RO is a nice place to live. If you are not attracted to the big box monster complexes that are springing up everywhere with that hotel feel, where you wait forever for the elevator, walk a quarter of a mile to your car and if you lead a quieter lifestyle......you should consider LB. The floor plans are uniquely different and units are being updated with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, wood floors, etc. Rents are competitive. I like it here because the complex is uniquely laid out with nicely landscaped courtyards, streams, and fountains, etc. Management and maintenance staff are extremely pleasant and very responsive. read more

I lived at the Left Bank at River Oaks for quite some time and LOVED it! When looking for apartments, my top three requirements were safety (single female), amenities (stainless steel, granite, wood floors), and location (proximity to downtown and shopping). I am probably the most selective apartment hunter. Located right beside River Oaks and Memorial Park, this complex was perfect. I lived on the first floor and not once did I ever feel unsafe. Many residents seem to be retirees or stay-at-home-parents, so I always felt a sense of community and knew that someone was always around if I ever needed anything. During the evening and early morning, there is an attendant at the guard house which is awesome. The area is also quite walkable so I would often times jog to Memorial Park or take a quick walk to Starbucks with my puppy. The amenities are amazing. If an apartment does not have stainless steel appliances, front-loading washer and dryer, and granite countertops, it is automatically off my list. The units here have all of that and more. Also, the shower water gets super hot (if anyone is like me and wonders about those things). The units also have nice "home" touches like built-in bookshelves, wooden baseboards, etc. The pool and outdoor kitchen area are great, as well as the wooded bayou areas. The location really speaks for itself. Within a 10-minute drive are three Whole Foods, 2 HEBs, Walmart, LA Fitness, the galleria, and tons of boutiques. Love this place! Great office administrators and same-day maintenance staff. No hidden fees either - just rent and a pet fee if applicable. I would absolutely list a con if I could think of one. As a resident of the Left Bank at River Oaks it is a pleasure to post about my positive experiences in the small, elegant, and updated property. The office staff works together as an exceptional team (Laura, Kimberly and Danesha), with an ability to confidently handle issues. Such a valuable contribution to residents. Any maintenance requests are handled properly and in a timely manner. The gentlemen (Jose' and Odivio) go above and beyond to address matters immediately. The apartments are beautifully updated, lovely kitchen counters, and with 10 ft ceilings the rooms appear larger. The property is well maintained, in a fabulous location in the Memorial Park/River Oaks area walking distance to convenient shopping and delicious restaurants. Prior to Covid-19, the management team coordinated fun social events for all ages to meet neighbors. I feel positive should you move into the Left Bank at River Oaks you will be well served with a delightful property, excellent management, and responsive maintenance. You will feel like a VIP in your own home! read more

Caroline and Queen are amazing. They are the main reason why me and my boyfriend decided to move to The Left Bank! After searching and searching for places together, I was ready to tear my hair out and start crying. Our last stop was the Left Bank and Queen made us feel so welcome. Our entire interaction with her was easy and simple, I was so happy to move into my first apartment thanks to her! She is amazing and always greets you with a smile when you walk into the office. Its been almost a year now, the complex is quiet and very peaceful. Their amenities are open all year, which is amazing! Caroline is great at making the Left Bank feel like a community. She informs us of the amazing wine tasting, cookouts, and little celebrations the Left Bank has. Which is why when renewal came me and my boyfriend decided to stay so we can continue call the Left Bank at River Oaks our home. Overall, all the units have brand new appliances, HUGE garden tubs, granite countertops, hardwood floors. When trying to get things fixed, I can depend on Caroline and Queen to make sure they get done. The maintenance team is diligent and tries to make you happy with the apartment you choose. What was extremely important to me was having an apartment with a full size washer and dryer and a safe community. At the Left bank I got everything I could ever want and more. I would definitely refer people to live here! :) read more

Lived here from August 2013 and am moving out at the end of this month. Very sad to leave this complex because it is one of the best. Definitely more low-key crowd here--which was perfect for me because I hate having to deal with noise, drunk people, etc. Management was incredibly responsive: if I emailed them that day I would receive a response either by telephone or email that day or the first thing the following morning. Maintenance was also incredibly responsive: if I had an non-emergency issue, they would contact me to let me know that they would take care of it in the next couple of days but most of the time it was fixed that day. Location is obviously one the biggest selling points and one of the hardest things to give up. It's accessible to I-10, 610 and right off Memorial Drive. You can get to anywhere in Houston quickly (well as quickly as the rest of Houston traffic allows). There have been a couple of thefts here (bikes from the bike cage) and one break-in, but honestly in three years that's not bad especially considering the frequency of breakins of other complexes in the area. Management communicated information about these incidents to the residents and handled these professionally. Parking was sometimes an annoyance depending on what floor you lived on. I say that because the lower floors of the garage would definitely fill up before the top and I don't think they do an effective job enforcing the towing policy for cars without permits. If you are sensitive to noise, I encourage you to live on the top floor (fourth floor) and opt for an apartment facing the bayou. I never had issues with noise, but I know some of my neighbors received a few complaints from their downstairs neighbors. Will definitely miss this place and am sadder that this isn't closer to my new job! read more

We are very satisfied with our choice to live here! It's quiet,private and well kept. The maintenance crew is very friendly and courteous! They are still improving things and doing a good job! Beautiful plants, and well maintained landscaping. We love the pool area and the walking park. You don't feel like you are in the city. We enjoy the office personnel. They are very helpful and friendly. We are really glad we stopped by here;it wasn't on our list and was just what we wanted. read more

Three weeks after moving in, my motorcycle was stolen. The thieves cut off my New York lock and took it from the guarded, gated garage. The manager said they don't have cameras on the property. I wish I never moved here! read more

Went in to this property today and talked with one of the leasing agents. She was less than welcoming and her attitude turned these very nice apartments into something less than average. I decided against the property today mostly based on my experience; knowing that it would most likely be my experience with management for my length of stay at this complex. read more

I stopped by the leasing office on Saturday February 6th because I'm looking for a one bedroom. The property is beautiful and in a great location so I have always admired it and was looking forward to touring the property and see the floor plans. The leasing agent in the office was working alone and there were no other people visiting at the time. When I asked about a one bedroom, she quickly said that she didn't have any to show me, didn't have any available and wouldn't have any available that she knew of. She did pull out some floor plans to show me and that's when I noticed the bottle of nail polish on her desk. Maybe she was in a hurry to get rid of me so she could go back to doing her nails? She didn't talk about the amenities of the property or tell me anything about the apartments themselves. I stood up to leave because I really felt dismissed. She didn't take my contact information but did say I should call her back some time next month. My one star rating is just based on this experience. However, I feel that if the leasing office is this dismissive of a potential resident in a market that is flooded with availabilities while, unfortunately, people in the oil and gas industry are being laid off and may have to break their leases because of a hardship - then it is representative of lazy, disinterested management. To me that means the property would be inadequately maintained and management would be unresponsive to tenants needs. First impressions count! I went down the street to Sunrise by the Park where I was treated much more respectfully. I found a floor plan that I loved and will move in this spring. read more

Looks are deceiving! Yes, beautiful and quiet property. Well, before Harvey. The manager is extremely rude and they never want to deal with the smallest of problems. We lived here for three years until they gave us FIVE days to get our flooded belongings out of our apartments (yes, ALL first floor apartments flooded) during hurricane Harvey. Some of us evacuated, how were we to get back in time? Otherwise, they're solution was to trash everything if we didn't make it back on time. Oh, I forgot that we also had to find our own place to live within five days. Which was nearly impossible unless you wanted to spend twice as much your rent. The people that own/manage are ruthless. There are MANY other places to look in Houston, save yourself the headache! There is also a big issue with theft on this property, the other reviews are very accurate. Look up the google reviews as well to get more of an idea on this property. read more

Left Bank River Oaks is by far one of the best apartments I have ever lived in! We live in a remodeled unit and the ceilings are really high, the kitchen is very nice and bright and includes a wine refrigerator and the master bedroom is large. There is also room for a good sized dining room table which is hard to find. The finishes are much nicer than all of the new construction apartments in the area. We found when looking at newer construction apartments the flooring and countertops were of much less quality. The grounds are beautiful which includes a huge park along the bayou for you to walk your dog or get in a little jog. The pool is really nice with several grill areas and is not super crowded or full of young college students which allows for you to relax peacefully in the summer. There is a guard at the gate every night which provides additional security. The office staff is always super helpful and maintenance requests have always been responded to very promptly and they will do anything including changing out lightbulbs! Best of all is the location, it is absolutely perfect! You can get anywhere in the loop in less than 15 minutes and being right on Memorial provides a dream commute to downtown and a short walk to Memorial Park. Overall, I would highly recommend Left Bank! read more
