    Bright Beginnings Early School

We are so grateful and thankful for all of the wonderful teachers and staff at Bright Beginnings…read more This has been the best two years my son has had. This school is the most amazing, creative school with seriously the most caring, down to earth, dedicated, passionate, talented and kind teachers/staff that make it the best school/community there is for Early Learning and VPK in Ft. Myers...hands down! It's not "just a school", it's a unique community and you'll feel like you're part of a family. Everyone there-staff, teachers, and the parents are so kind and sweet, and everyone goes out of their way to make the school just keep getting better and updated by hosting fun events with the kids to raise money, or to have a charity event. Everyone helps each other out however they can. I feel so blessed My son got to go there and I am lucky enough to have seen him start at 3 years old and grow into the kind sweet boy he is today with the help of so many amazing woman there-it takes a village to raise a child. I never once worried about him, and that in and of itself says it all. Also to have been able to go to some of the most creative, beautiful and fun events I've ever been to! Kuddos to everyone at Bright Beginnings Early School and especially to the director of the school Samantha and also Mary for doing all the dirty work behind the scenes and making it look so easy... and for always having a smile on their face every morning and greeting the kids by name as they walk in to make them feel special You can see the love you have for the students and passion for the school. And let's not forget to mention, all of the wonderful teachers who show up every single day and not only teach our kids but go above and beyond! They've shown/taught our children compassion, kindness, what it means to be a good friend, how to behave/treat their classmates and adults , and most importantly about God and Jesus, and what it is to be a good human being in this crazy world...because that is one of the most important things to learn. I highly recommend sending your child or children to this school, as I promise you, you will be more than just satisfied and your child will absolutely love it there..they will learn so much, and in a creative way. There is always something fun going on whether it's the everyday stuff such as the playground, splash pad, play time while also learning things without even realizing it! And then there's always something such as special crafts, events for the parents to get to know each other, Dad's night out, Mom's night out, celebrations during holidays, concerts, charity events, etc. I could go on forever! You will also be amazed at how much they will learn, learn, because their level and expectations of teaching is very high and they do it in a fun way for the kids! But bottom line, if you're looking for an early school for your child this IS THE ONE!

So I didn't want to write this just because I am not a problematic person but I saw another review…read moretalking specifically about MS.Kee and it has given me the courage to speak up about our experience too. This is for the Heights Elementary Ms.kee . She is an incredibly cruel person . She has her favorites based off of monetary reasons and the rest of kids she treats poorly and with cruelty. It was not just my child it was also her friends , she was a horrible person to them. They came home almost every day in tears , if it wasn't something mean she did to them , my child was crying for the way another child was being treated like second hand abuse it really was that bad. We don't go here anymore because she ruined my child's self worth system. I haven't a clue why she decided to be a teacher other then to mess kids up . She literally screams , she calls kids problems , she makes fun of them and she snaps at them constantly she also has weird ways of singling out and punishing. She of course denys all of it but I would listen to the reviews she is not to be trusted and she's like missed Taylor swift concert away from ending up on an episode of snapped. She actually told kids to buy her Taylor swift gifts for her bday , like seriously? Really bad person.

I had such high hopes for this place for my very busy and active daughter. It went downhill. The…read moreone thing I can say is she did learn a lot. She did fine in the 2's and unfortunately ever since she hit the 3's it's been teacher turnover, lack of staff, lack of communication about any struggles she's having at school, "behavior plans" for normal developmental 3 y/o situations. The plans aren't plans - they are warnings and the school doesn't even want to talk to you about them. The plans are not even followed as they decided my daughter cannot come back anymore and gave me no notice. Apparently she'd go to the director "daily" but I never saw that on the cameras which we were able to watch for certain portions of the day, the instances are not documented at all and they never told us but they're using it as ammunition to expel my three year old. For nap time if your kid needs help falling asleep, like if they need someone to sit with them, they use that as a reason your child is no longer a fit for the school. Most children at age 3 need assistance falling asleep. They don't have a calm down space and they don't have a room for kids that can't nap. Their school is supposedly behaviorally trained but they don't do age appropriate activities, they don't understand how to do reward systems with kids, and they can't keep consistent with anything. They pick children they no longer want to come and try to instigate the child for reasons to remove them. Today they gave my daughter a lollipop for good behavior and then she did something else (they don't even know what) and took it back. She obviously cried a lot because they took away her reward and she's had because of it apparently. One day my daughter had an issue and the director was like "I have a center to run I don't have time for this!" Then train your staff know how to deal with little kids? I feel so bad for my daughter because I thought they really did care about her but I regret leaving her here and I should have listened to her that she didn't want to go here anymore. After her first month in 3 year old class she would tell me how she is a bad kid and does bad things. Her self concept is really damaged and I know I didn't do it but I feel responsible because I put her here thinking it was the best thing for her. My heart hurts for my kid.

HOWEVER, the front desk needs some SERIOUS REMODELING OF FACIAL EXPRESSION, TONE , and BODY LANGUAGE. Ms.Jessica SPECIFICALLY looks like she hates her job. whenever I ask a question it's like she see's a dear in headlights there's no positivity in her voice. She looks miserable. The Front Desk sets the tone for parents, it brings reassurance and a sense of comfort, when we are in-trusting your facility with the care of our children.
