While the school has seen several administrative changes, including a very difficult period under a previous director, we stayed because of the incredible teaching staff. Unfortunately, the school recently lost Ms. Shelina, an 11-year veteran and the only fully Montessori-certified teacher on staff. To see a teacher of her caliber and dedication pushed out--seemingly due to administrative interference with her classroom expertise--is heartbreaking. Furthermore, the physical environment has declined; classrooms have become overcrowded with furniture, making it difficult for children to work independently as the Montessori method intends. Until there is stability in staffing and a return to true Montessori standards, I find it difficult to recommend this school to new families.

However, during…read moreour time with the school we can share that Ms. Shelina was an absolute phenomenal educator for both of our girls. Her understanding of our eldest daughter and her need to have structure yet space to learn and how she was able to explain that to us was truly exceptional. And her dedication to creating a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment was truly remarkable for our youngest daughter. She consistently went above and beyond sparking a genuine love for our girls that had them wanting to share what they learned that day. Ms. Shelina's commitment to the students and the school was always evident, and her departure will be a significant loss for both the school and students as they would have would have benefited from her guidance and patience in the future.

From the moment we walked through the doors, we were met with warmth, kindness, and a true sense of community. The director, Ms. Muraya, and his teacher, Ms. Bree, have been nothing short of amazing, but I also want to take a moment to recognize and appreciate every single teacher and staff member who plays a role in my son's day. Ms. Muraya leads with such grace, compassion, and strength--it's clear how deeply she cares about the children, the families, and the staff. Ms. Bree has built such a sweet bond with my little one, and her patience, energy, and encouragement have made him feel so safe and seen. But the love doesn't stop there. Every teacher we've come across has shown him care, attention, and affection--from warm greetings in the morning to kind words and gentle redirection throughout the day. What continues to stand out to me is the incredible communication. I receive updates and photos of my son during the day, and each one brings a sense of peace to my heart and a big smile to my face. Whether he's painting, playing outside, or sharing a laugh with a teacher, those little glimpses into his day remind me that he's in the best possible hands. The staff here go above and beyond not just to care for our kids, but to make parents feel informed, included, and reassured. It means the world to know that while I'm away, my baby is being cared for by people who truly love what they do--people who celebrate his milestones, nurture his growth, and support him with kindness every single day. He comes home happy, full of laughs, and excited to go back the next morning. As a parent, there is no greater gift than that sense of peace and trust. To Ms. Muraya, Ms. Bree, and every teacher and caregiver at the center--thank you. Thank you for your tireless dedication, your warm hearts, your playful spirits, and your incredible impact. You've created a space that feels like a second home for my son, and for that, I am forever grateful. Your work truly matters, and we see the difference you make every single day.

There is a curriculum but my toddlers didnt learn anything there. I would watch the cameras and it was literally kids running amok and playing amongst themselves all day. The staff was always on their phones and they would sometimes sit near blind spots so that you couldnt see them. The staff and director were also never upfront about sicknesses or conditions going around. There were RSV, Hand Foot and Mouth, and lice breakouts and parents were NEVER advised. They would have a small sign in a door maybe, but never communicated. I pulled my kids after a staff member let it slip that there was yet another bug going around that the school was keeping on the hush. We moved to getting a nanny and haven't looked back. Caveat..my kids were there doing the pandemic and during a temporary shift in location, those factors could have impacted the normal service but the other reviews lead me to believe this isnt the case.

Tell you what, not only are we paying over $1400 for a preK course (don't forget additional "add-on" charges for "art" or "stem"courses) but my child has been through more than 8 "teachers" this is within 6 month span. Consistency is null, care is null, spiritual/ Christian learning is absolutely null. I have watched good friends come and go in shapes of little humans to teachers. I am saddened to watch my son go there, knowing he hates it and says "momma here sad, here sad" every single morning. I am saddened by knowing that they change his diaper only TWICE in a whole 12 hour span and has this inhumane rash that eill not go away and every time i pick him up he has a diaper sagging filled with pee and poop tgat i have to ask them to change (they always pretend that they "just" changed him, really? Every time he just happens to have overflowing diaper?). I am saddened seeing my son come back to me hurt physically each and every single day, every day it's a new excuse and now they don't even tell me that he got hurt, i get the agony of finding that my child is hurt and neglected all on my own, nightmare of an idea. I'm saddened to see him starving and begging for food the second he sees me, shouldn't he be fed? This is a toddler that eats everything, not a picky eater at all. The new director is less caring than the old one and neither could retain the good staff members. When everyone runs away, then you know there's something going on. They WILL and DO neglect children (I've witnessed it), they WILL and DO speak harshly to children (I've seen it first hand), they WILL and DO rob you blind while impeding growth of children while taking on the label "CHRISTIAN" to make believe without even a single Christian behavior. Sad, supremely sad how we pay so much to watch our children hurt mentally, physical and with growth. I'm having to wait out the 2 weeks notice, it's agonizingly long.

We signed up our children to go here based on the initial conversations, which was a total front. Luckily, we saw their true colors before my son started and we pulled him. At St. Philip's we found the most wonderful, caring, and attentive employees once could hope to find. The director stays involved with the children on a daily basis, welcoming parents and the children each morning and then "seeing them off" in the afternoon. The classes are small enough that every child gets all the attention necessary to (1) help them get adjusted to the environment, routine, and expectations; and, (2) get the warmth, affection, and love a parent would want their child to receive. St. Philip's is exceptional and we are extremely grateful for everything they have done to help my granddaughter become the well-rounded child that she now is.

And was without our consent. At 3 years old, children are learning how to play, listen, and understand -- they shouldn't be held to unrealistic standards. I later learned this had supposedly been a concern since he was 2, yet no one ever discussed it with us. It feels like the school made assumptions and took advantage of us being young, first-time parents instead of communicating openly. Parents deserve transparency and children deserve to be supported, not judged.
