I'm actually so saddened to think someone else…read morecould read that one-star review and pass up on the chance to give their child the experience my daughter has had at TLE. Let me tell you my own story. At first, I had selected a DIFFERENT daycare in Chelmsford, closer to my work. It soon became a horrifying experience. The teachers were uncaring and grizzled. The facility was dirty. I observed so many bad things: for example, my infant crying and neglected under an activity gym as the older babies in the same room received more attention. I was traumatized. I sobbed every day in the parking lot of my workplace because of the things I was seeing and hearing. I was even thinking of quitting my (amazing) job -- because I had nowhere else to put my daughter. No family support. What was I going to do? I desperately reached out to the mama social networks and (an angel) mama recommended the TLE Billerica. She had loved it; and only left because she moved closer to the city. I am still so thankful for that recommendation. My daughter was only at the other nasty place for four days. On July 3, 2014, after an early release for the holiday, I toured the TLE Billerica, met the director Melody, and the staff -- and the rest is history. A beautiful, happy history. My daughter is almost two now. She's been at TLE full-time since she was 11 weeks. No place is perfect -- but TLE Billerica is very close to it. The facility is so secure. So clean. Most of the teachers I met two years ago are still there. But the real treasure has been how warm and caring the teachers and staff have been to my daughter. Our highest priority criterion isn't price, but frankly, the TLE is also half the price of daycares near Boston where we originally looked. It was several hundred dollars less expensive per month than the first daycare we used. I should also mention the convenient location and hours. My daughter has severe eczema but her skin is so well moisturized during the day by her teachers, she doesn't even scratch. She's never had a diaper rash. Rarely gets sick. She's happy -- and when I pick her up, I can tell she's had a good day. The last daycare? Every day, I could tell she was having a bad day. As a baby, she struggled with naps. TLE helped us build a sleep routine. As a toddler, she struggled with solid food. TLE helped build her appetite! She's a big girl now. At 21 months, she has ABC's, 123's and full songs figured out. Every time I've had a need or concern, the response has been tremendous. I couldn't ask for more from a center. The teachers and staff at TLE have become our family. I have a good relationship with so many of the other parents who also sing this center's praises. When my husband and I count our blessings, TLE is at the top of the list every year. They gave this scared, first time (working) mama reassurance, support and love. I'll always be grateful.

I have my daughter at this daycare and have since she was an infant. She is now almost 4. I felt…read morethe need to write this review because I feel like the reviews on here are the exception, not the rule. 1. My little one has loved all her teachers and has had pretty much the same kids in her school throughout so they must be doing something right. One of her teachers, Ms Diane would lay with her to help her get to sleep because she was having trouble for a while. That is literally the only break she (Ms Diane) had all day and she sacrificed her alone time to give my daughter piece of mind. 2. My girl had an issue with another boy in the class that kept biting her and eventually hit her (in the span of a few days). The day care and Sarah immediately dealt with it and separated them as well as putting measures in place with the little boy to make sure their parents dealt with the issues (I wasn't privy to the exact measures as there are privacy issues but I do know they did more than just separate their classes). 3. To the response about working parents (I am a director at a 50Mil Dollar company). Yes, it is hard that you need to keep your little one home for 24 hours after a fever but they do that to protect the other kids and if they didn't do this, you would end up with a daycare that has kids getting sick more often and can't come in anyway. The minute you get one child with of hand, foot and mouth or anything contagious they use a system to help clean the classrooms. 4. I literally toured over 8 daycares before sending my girl here and NONE of them had what Goddard did. There are very few part-time kids here but those that are feel just as welcome...how do I know? My daughter and I have play dates with a part time little boy and his mom and I have asked her. 5. Kids fall, they are learning to walk and learning how to play nice. Kids get bruises and bumps. This will happen at all daycares, it's how the daycare deals with it that matters...and Goddard does it well. And you child will have diaper rash, they cannot possibly change a diaper every time a child pees, there are just too many kids but Goddard has a rule about how often the diapers should be changed. 6. Ok, they do a few things that annoy me like putting her sippy cup upside down in her bag, encouraging me to stop her thumb sucking when i don't think she ready and some other small things but overall this is a great school with staff that really care.

We were with them through first steps, first solids, first words, navigating a pandemic, potty training, having a sibling, losing teeth, learning to ride a bike and write their name, making friends and becoming self-assured and self-sufficient 5 year olds that were ready to make a seamless transition to Kindergarten. Not only is the facility and outdoor play spaces beautiful, but the school follows a curriculum that is shared each week and brings in outside companies, librarians and more to do specialized activities onsite as well. From bike days to pizza/pj fundraisers, apple pie making for Thanksgiving, to art shows, there was always something to look forward to. When we looked at many daycares when my first child was born, this school stood out leaps and bounds above the rest for having an educational plan in place, not just child care. I can't thank the Goddard School enough for the role they have played in such formative years for my children. The teachers care about the kids like family.

I was worried about sending a five month old to daycare so early but the kindness and attentiveness of the teachers here made it much easier on me. This particular location has a full kitchen and they provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks which is a huge help for busy parents. They also have playgrounds based on the child's age and the teachers love getting the kids outside in the fresh air. Every day they play games, sing songs and create art work that are all tied to learning. It is more of a school than a day care and they have a great curriculum that they share with parents so we can include the same topics at home. The staff is wonderful. They are all very kind and they truly care about the kids and parents. It is also extremely clean. They also released a mobile app that I get updates and pictures of him throughout the day. If you are looking for day care, or school for your child, you cannot go wrong here.

I then waited for almost 15 minutes while there was the constant sound of crying children, but no one came to the front area and no one was visible in either the office or kindergarten area (again, this was after I had rang the doorbell requesting entry). Finally, I gave up and just left, never having the ability to speak with anyone. Perhaps this was unusual, but it doesn't inspire confidence in me and does not make me feel comfortable with the idea of leaving my daughter at this center.

I'm baffled by the only other review of Half Pints. I can only assume this person is either a very…read moredisgruntled parent or a, ex-worker. A Yelp member with only one review that is a 1 star is always suspect and I'm surprised that the Yelp filter did not hide it. In the time our child has been at Half Pints, everyone that works here have nothing but professional and bright. Cathy the owner is 100% the complete opposite of what the other reviewer stated. She is friendly, warm, engaging and an extremely knowledgeable at running a large daycare center. Any issues we have brought to her have always been handled right away and with extreme professionalism. She truly has always put our child's care first above of money. The comment about her being only concerned about money is actually laughable. We have always made our daycare payments on time. I'd imagine if parents were behind with their payments, they would be spoken to about it. Perhaps the other reviewer couldn't pay on time and got a warning, as they should. All the teachers at HPLC work extremely hard to care for our infants, toddler, and kids and they deserve to be paid for it. After going on many tours and comparing rates, they were right around the middle of the road. In fact, they are the only center we found that offer 10 days of free tuition to use for vacation or sick days. The co-directors, Cathy, Amy or any of the teachers at HPLC are always available to chat with or ask questions. It's a great comfort that they have a nurse on site, the co-director Amy. The center itself is modern, well equipped with toys, activities and is very safe with a security system and controlled access. The indoor gymnasium is an amazing addition that most centers do not have. Perfect for days it is too hot, wet or cold to go out in. Our child has been thriving here and has learned a lot from her teachers and socializing with other children. Everyone we have interfaced with has extensive knowledge and experience to be in this profession. I don't get the comment about teachers always being on phones. HPLC has a strict no phone during work policy and they enforce it. I highly recommend checking them out for your child.

Make sure you get it in writing first. They told us Drop off time we had in mind would not matter at all! So I decided to contact the owners and they respond 4 days later stating that they didn't think it was important enough to respond because it wasn't that serious! I guess feeding my daughter in their supervision was not that important to them! New Director (Kaitlynn Strand) is as useless as they come.
