After talking to few friends I decided to make the switch. So far this year my daughter has been in quite a hurry to get to First Impressions early every day. She tells me about the different activities they do when she comes home. Today, when she returned from a short vacation, the teacher greeted us with a cupcake she had saved specifically for my daughter. Last year, I couldn't really tell if my daughter was happy at daycare. Now I see the difference. Glad to have a safe and nurturing place to drop her off each day.

I feel very bad for the children at this daycare. The staff say they are educated in early…read morechildhood education but they do NOT present that in the classrooms. First of, the rooms themselves are very unorganized and cluttered. The floors are always dirty. They have multiple children with special needs in the classrooms who they don't get assistance for. They mix 4 year olds with the 1 and 2 year olds. They are consistently out of ratio. They DO NOT bring the children outside on the play ground or for walks. They are stuck in that one room all day long. And then they wonder why they have such behavioral issues with the kids?! I have caught the staff in multiple lies between teachers and the directors/owners. Overall, these people promised us the world when we enrolled our child and didnt end up meeting any of those expectations. They were given directions by our childs Occupational Therapist on how to help him and they NEVER followed any of them. I would never EVER recommend this center to anyone, not even for a day! Terrible staff and idiot director/owners!

She has the staff wear jeans which is very unprofessional in whatever field you are working in. Which i'm sure most people would agree with me on this subject as well. When you talk to her it seems like all she cares about is herself and she acts like she is above all people. She does not care about her staff that she has and takes them for granted. A friend of mine whom child previously attended there as well, was picking up her child during nap time and the owner came into the daycare and was so loud that quite a few children woke up. When she came to me and told me this I thought that was very disrespectful knowing you are coming into a center, it being nap time, and than waking them up for the staff to help put them back to sleep. If it were myself recommending this daycare to someone that I know, I would not. If it were me I would find a different owner and possibly shut the daycare down. Since, my child started they have done nothing but try and get him to leave. When I contacted the daycare initially for him to start they were told by me he has services with the IU for behavior they said they can accommodate. Yeah until they start sucking up all your money and after two weeks of the start date they were trying to push him out stating they don't believe this is the right place for him. I contacted PA keys to advise them of there tactics they came to check it out was ok for awhile but didn't last. It was to the point they started making up stories of his unruley behavior that he needed to get picked up from the daycare which was the last straw for me and was needing to leave work because of this. So word of advise DO NOT PICK THIS DAYCARE UNLESS YOU HAVE A PERFECT CHILD!!!!

I am one of the pickiest moms you could ever imagine when selecting an early learning center for my daughter. I know exactly what to look for and the questions to ask. The curriculum is play based which is what is developmentally appropriate for this age. The classrooms all have teachers with a passion for children & teaching, degrees in early childhood education, and years of experience. They are also very nurturing and just amazing. If you cannot get into anywhere else this is where you go…read more The building is piece worked and not cleaned regularly, Although they may run a vacuum around at the end of the day it needs a good hot mop and some Lysol. The rooms seem over crowded with children. Most of the teachers seem ok or at least they provide adequate service for what they are paid. I know the ownership has changed in the last few months and the new director seems to be cleaning up a bit. She focused on her office first. So that shows some priorities. The play ground is a big rubber mat no grass. Most of the toys are old and broke,and the balls look like they should all be thrown out. Parking is pretty bad when it's busy but you can just park in the handicap spots like all the other people that do and shouldn't. All in all there are much better places in the area for the same price or just a few dollars more.

Not sure if they still do this but when we had water time (which was a fountain of water we could play in) we were separated by a short short wall which we could all see over, and we could see eachother changing into our swimsuits. Love the school overall, had most of my childhood there. Also there were short walls as our bathoom stalls which boys could see girls peeing, and the door always had to be open which made me a bit uncomfortable.
