After picking up my child early, I got to see what goes on in the middle of the day. While I don't think this was out of the norm for infant care, I was surprised at what was happening. My child (of 3 months old) along with another child was lying on the ground in the drop off section where people take off shoes and was attempting to feed himself a bottle, absolutely covered in milk. The teachers were busy warming bottles/ changing diapers/ trying to tend to the 6 screaming children. After picking my child up off the ground and cleaning him up myself, I was given previous bottle- still 3/4 full. While I understand that a baby will not always finish a bottle, I was not okay with the fact that he normally would have had 12 ounces by this point of the day, and he'd only had 6 total. I did not say anything to the teachers, as they really didn't have time to chat (they prefer communication via their app). I sat in the parking lot of the center and finished feeding him. He was starving. I have no idea how much he actually drank since he I witnessed him attempting to feed himself. When we got home, he took another 8 ounces. After talking to other parents- they said that it wasn't totally out of the ordinary and that if they didn't have to do infant care, they wouldn't. When we ultimately decided to pull him out of daycare and picked his stuff up, it smelt of very strong cleaning chemicals. If you have to do infant care, this place checks the box, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I'm not one to post poor reviews, but I wish I would've known what it was all about. So here it is.

It gave us warm and fuzzy feeling. They helped her transition into school and were so patient with her. My daughter has been showered with love and affection from the teachers. There isn't turn over of teachers. She's learned so much and is talking more. She positively talks about her teachers and friends at home. They've helped us with potty training. Meals are provided. He was being sent home almost every other day due to behavior issues. Issues that come about ONLY at their center. While they gave incident reports and allowed a support specialist to observe, they never let that person implement a plan to help him. After speaking with multiple parents, many are unfortunately experiencing a similar situation as their child entered the 3 year old class. The behaviors they documented ex: tantrums, trouble with transitions, reacting to being scolded - are completely normal for a 3-year-old. These behaviors don't happen at home or elsewhere, which makes me feel the daycare environment played a role in shaping them considering he has attended for the past 3 years consistently. They raised my child. They raised my child to believe that this is how to behave in a daycare environment. Instead of supporting him through a difficult phase, they expelled him. If your child has big emotions or needs extra support, this may not be the right place. If you are wanting this center to be the care taker for your infant until toddler years, expect an unstable foundation, in which I was expecting the opposite. I do not believe that this center is equipped to handle children with big personalities or that do not fit into a narrow mold. I have since learned that this classroom is extremely chaotic and not structured. They absolutely need more experienced care staff for this age group. This was a heartbreaking ending to what should have been a trusted relationship. Many of the schools i toured previously were very wishy washy with their procedures and policies. I wanted a place that felt like home, had a respectable kind staff, but had clear expectations and guidelines for my son's safety and care. I toured school with a long check list of questions and all of my concerns were addressed professionally. My son (17m) has been attending since he was 10 weeks old. As a first time mom everything was overwhelming and frightening to start. The whole staff was so helpful and welcoming to start. Bianca and her team made this very difficult transition seem very smooth. I remember on our first day she invited me to call the classroom as many times as I needed. I did my best to focus on my work and trust they had him. She was kind enough to call me. Just to check in and give me an update knowing this was a big day for both of us. Bianca was incredible when it came to difficult things like transitioning to solids, sickness, and developmental milestones. Now my son is in the 1's class and he's learning so much everyday. Additionally, they don't have enough staff to cover the promised daily activities such as outdoor play. They keep the after school children in one room, expecting them to complete worksheets while sitting at a table quietly for hours. Although we were verbally told during our tour (and it's covered in their handbook) by Patricia that they would go outside daily to play on the playground, they never did. There was always an excuse. It was too hot or not enough staff to watch the kids. For a neurodivergent child, this is a must. After sitting in a class all day, they need to get their energy out. My son, repeatedly got in trouble because he was saying potty words (poop, pee, balls) while sitting idle in the classroom. When we addressed it with the director she said "all the other children are angels, except yours. He must be learning this inappropriate language at home." As she was telling me this, another child approached my son and punched him in the stomach. When I pointed that out to her, she said "I didn't see anything." Patricia was looking for any reason to remove my child from the center because he didn't fit the definition of normal. I called to inform Trent Crouch who oversees children's nest he said "there is nothing I can do, Patricia has been with us a long time." It saddens me that our community is unwilling to help children that are neurodivergent. In this case, children's nest did not live up to their promises of keeping the kids active. They looked for reasons to discipline my child and ignore the bullying behaviors of other kids. Patricia and Trent should be ashamed of how they treated my son and learn how to help kids of all abilities,

I had a very disappointing experience with Oak Crest Preschool, particularly with the director…read more From the beginning, I felt that my child was unfairly judged and discriminated against due to his behavior on his first day, his speech delay, and the fact that he is not yet potty trained for his age. Instead of demonstrating understanding or support, the director was condescending and dismissive. What was especially concerning was that she took it upon herself to diagnose my child as autistic based on her "20+ years of experience." I found this extremely inappropriate and unprofessional, as she is not a licensed medical professional and should not be labeling children in this way. As a parent, I was hoping for compassion, patience, and partnership in helping my child grow, especially since this was his first time attending daycare and he needed to adjust to social interactions. Instead, I left feeling judged and disheartened. I would not recommend Oak Crest Preschool to families who value inclusivity, empathy, and professional boundaries. I paid $225 for the registration and curriculum fee non-refundable, which I worked hard to afford, yet it was clear that the curriculum was never applied to support my child. After only 1 day, my child was judged without a fair chance.

From my experience I can say it is in a safe and convenient location and the owners daughter who was there when my last child was briefly enrolled is lovely to deal with but the actual owner and face of the facility is passive aggressive, and condescending at the very least. Every-time there was a request for anything she refused to accommodate it. For the cost it is not a deal and does not provide adequate services. My last child was attacked and this was the third time in three days, he was left with a deep scratch in his face that is now a permanent scar a year later. He also "fell" into a bookshelf that left possible fracture in his skull and permanent calcification and dent in his forehead. The doctor said it will Most likely never go away (happened 19 months ago) The first two requests on the injuries that had occurred previous to the serious one were dismissed despite my son telling me another kid hurt him. Additionally my son had a medical emergency (seizure) and requested to see footage per the doctors request and they refused to help me obtain this. Lastly to these isolated incidents, I have never felt more unwelcome in a place that I spent thousands and thousand of dollars at. We have switched to a different preschool and it is like day and night compared to Oak Crest, I didn't realize until i switched how terrible my experience over a 4 year period actually was. They really could improve how they treat staff and families and ultimately the care they provide kids.
