He was being sent home almost every other day due to behavior issues. Issues that come about ONLY at their center. While they gave incident reports and allowed a support specialist to observe, they never let that person implement a plan to help him. After speaking with multiple parents, many are unfortunately experiencing a similar situation as their child entered the 3 year old class. The behaviors they documented ex: tantrums, trouble with transitions, reacting to being scolded - are completely normal for a 3-year-old. These behaviors don't happen at home or elsewhere, which makes me feel the daycare environment played a role in shaping them considering he has attended for the past 3 years consistently. They raised my child. They raised my child to believe that this is how to behave in a daycare environment. Instead of supporting him through a difficult phase, they expelled him. If your child has big emotions or needs extra support, this may not be the right place. If you are wanting this center to be the care taker for your infant until toddler years, expect an unstable foundation, in which I was expecting the opposite. I do not believe that this center is equipped to handle children with big personalities or that do not fit into a narrow mold. I have since learned that this classroom is extremely chaotic and not structured. They absolutely need more experienced care staff for this age group. This was a heartbreaking ending to what should have been a trusted relationship. I do NOT recommend ** I want to add that this center BLOCKED me on Facebook after leaving the same review on their business reviews page on Facebook. Probably expected the review to go away. My toddler loves going to school and has brought home so many creative and special art projects and meaningful gifts for momma and daddy on certain holidays . I recently enrolled my daughter into Daycare at St Pete Prep Learning Center in St. Petetsburg. The first day, as the front office assistant walked my daughter & i to her class, i witnessed someone else's child (approx. 3 y/o girl) sitting on the bathroom with a bare bottom & her clothes scattered on the floor. I thought it to be a tad odd but didn't say anything. I sat down with my daughter & her class so she could feel comfortable before i left. After about 15-20 minutes or so she was comfortable and i left. Welll, as i walked out i couldn't help but notice the little girl was STILL sitting on her bare bottom on the bathroom floor. Again, it was my daughters first day, i didnt want to be "that parent", the annoying one that comments on everything. So i didn't Say anything. The next day when i walked into the classroom to pick my daughter up, she was in the corner crying by herself with snot all over her face. Which tells me she had been crying for a bit. I ask the teacher what's wrong, i didn't get a straight answer. I ask again & im told she had a few diarrhea diapers & as a result had diaper rash. She stated she applied Vaseline. So i immediately put my daughter on the changing table to see because shes never reacted that way. The rash was bad enough that someone should've called me. & not just because of how the rash looked but because of how my child was acting. In addition, i should've received a call due to the diarrhea they claimed She had. She clearly was in alot of pain & didn't want to sit down because of it let alone have a diaper on. But yet when i walked in, she was sitting. No one thought to even hold my daughter, console her, let her know its going to be okay. Or thought to call me? They should've called me. Who knows how long my baby had to sit on pain. Or continue to ge her butt wiped even though she's in pain to the point of tears! That night she couldn't even wear a diaper to bed, she literally cried herself to sleep with no diaper. And she slept on a towel. I understand kids get diaper rash & it can get severe, that's overstood. My problem is i wasnt notified. I don't understand how they can be in business. How could i possibly experience this much nonesense & licensing violations in just TWO DAYS? Long story short, i reported the daycare to daycare licensing & they will be investigated. But more so, i wish i knew the mother of the little girl that was sitting on the floor. In addition, i wrote a review on the daycare's Facebook page and in response they stated "i would definitely question this persons credibility. Follow this link & Check out her arrest record. REALLY?? What kind of parent is this?" & then posted a link to a records site showing my arrest for possession of marijuana. Then hours later deactivated the page, removed the reviews option & reactivated. If that doesnt speak volumes i don't know what does. Thank you for hearing me out.

My child (of 3 months old) along with another child was lying on the ground in the drop off section where people take off shoes and was attempting to feed himself a bottle, absolutely covered in milk. The teachers were busy warming bottles/ changing diapers/ trying to tend to the 6 screaming children. After picking my child up off the ground and cleaning him up myself, I was given previous bottle- still 3/4 full. While I understand that a baby will not always finish a bottle, I was not okay with the fact that he normally would have had 12 ounces by this point of the day, and he'd only had 6 total. I did not say anything to the teachers, as they really didn't have time to chat (they prefer communication via their app). I sat in the parking lot of the center and finished feeding him. He was starving. I have no idea how much he actually drank since he I witnessed him attempting to feed himself. When we got home, he took another 8 ounces. After talking to other parents- they said that it wasn't totally out of the ordinary and that if they didn't have to do infant care, they wouldn't. When we ultimately decided to pull him out of daycare and picked his stuff up, it smelt of very strong cleaning chemicals. If you have to do infant care, this place checks the box, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I'm not one to post poor reviews, but I wish I would've known what it was all about. So here it is.

They loved the teachers but left for summer with very little support for the upcoming school year. Granted, one year was complex with COVID but there is no excuse to conduct a teaching environment if you're not following the Montessori method and actually teaching. I feel so sad for the teachers. They all mean well & love their students. However this place has had multiple admins turnover in a matter of 2 years, and teachers came & went just as easily. Unfortunately this was evident when multiple parents came together towards the end of the year and realized their kids (8-10) year olds still could not read at their grade level. This same group of parents spent their summer paying alternative schools (Kumon is who I hired) to supplement everything these kids had missed. Mind you, my son was complex and has not done well in any school due to a minor disability, however this wasn't just my son who required remedial tutoring & this review isn't solely based on my son's issues. They weren't proactive in helping me with educational resources , I had to get a 504 plan from a local elementary school, which he didn't even attend but they were willing to take me through the process. Along with charging a ridiculous amount of monthly tuition, they also had so many extra days off throughout the year...then charged extra for those care days if you were a working parent! I'm not talking holidays and 2 teacher work days. I'm talking once every month or two for no apparent reason, it was not on schedule with public schools many days they took off. They didn't pro rate, instead they charge you to "care" for, not teach your kids on those days off . the last month of school, also didn't prorate so you pay a month, get 21 days & then they charge you extra to help care for your kid the rest of the month! They also increased their tuition intermittently, I was paying approximately $1400+ per child. I'm telling you, this place will charge you & then send your kids home with subpar education to succeed thereafter. I am forever weary of Montessori going forward & have opted for charter.

My child is in the 6th grade and several children have been inappropriately touched by other students and experienced racially related bullying as well. When parents spoke up, the staff retaliated against the students by taking away most of their privileges and cancelling all school events. Police have been present on the campus twice this year. My child, who has always been an A student, came home crying because his teacher led him to believe he is an F student. When I met with his teachers and principal, I found her story to lack any evidence and my son brought home all A's a few weeks later. I truly believe that the teacher was just being nasty. The principal and assistant supported this behavior from the teacher. I'm also shocked at the lack of education level of the faculty. There are very few times when there aren't spelling or grammar errors in what they distribute. My son has brought home reading materials with a set of questions for him to answer that didn't match the material. For the sake of the children in the Palm Harbor community that could benefit from a good private school, I hope there is a change in staff. This is not an inexpensive school by any means, I would not recommend considering this school at all.
