Unfortunately, we were disappointed to say the absolute least with the infant room. The ratio of…read morechild:teacher is 6:2- with another floater- the standard, but you can tell that they are overwhelmed. After picking up my child early, I got to see what goes on in the middle of the day. While I don't think this was out of the norm for infant care, I was surprised at what was happening. My child (of 3 months old) along with another child was lying on the ground in the drop off section where people take off shoes and was attempting to feed himself a bottle, absolutely covered in milk. The teachers were busy warming bottles/ changing diapers/ trying to tend to the 6 screaming children. After picking my child up off the ground and cleaning him up myself, I was given previous bottle- still 3/4 full. While I understand that a baby will not always finish a bottle, I was not okay with the fact that he normally would have had 12 ounces by this point of the day, and he'd only had 6 total. I did not say anything to the teachers, as they really didn't have time to chat (they prefer communication via their app). I sat in the parking lot of the center and finished feeding him. He was starving. I have no idea how much he actually drank since he I witnessed him attempting to feed himself. When we got home, he took another 8 ounces. After talking to other parents- they said that it wasn't totally out of the ordinary and that if they didn't have to do infant care, they wouldn't. When we ultimately decided to pull him out of daycare and picked his stuff up, it smelt of very strong cleaning chemicals. If you have to do infant care, this place checks the box, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. I'm not one to post poor reviews, but I wish I would've known what it was all about. So here it is.

Management helped ease the transition both as a staff member and as a parent. Which I am highly appreciative of because being happy in my work place and knowing that my daughter is safe and happy where she spends her day is extremely important to me. My daughter recently turned 2 and they have been working on potty training with her which helps the transition into potty training at home as well. Her language has also developed quite a bit in the last few months she's coming home singing songs from circle and talking about things she's learned that day (we have been getting a daily sheet showing us what curriculum has been covered each day which her dad and I find helpful with knowing exactly what she is doing each day.) Her dad and I both have the parent app and it's nice to see pictures and updates on her potty training, snack, lunch, and nap so we know how her day is going! My daughter loves all the teachers there! We loved having Ms. Bri when she was in the toddler class room. My daughter loves Ms. Cassondra and Ms. Querri they always make a point to ease her morning transition into school or make her smile! We love our job and our school

Many times when I picked her up her face was dirty since she's had runny nose and no one bothered to clean her up. My child is sick and I told them I need to remove her out of the program they still force me to pay 2 weeks withdraw period and of course my child could not be there for the last whole week due to high fever and coughing so much that she would throw up many times and that last week cost us $500 for nothing. Opps, sorry your child got sick, you still need to pay us no matter what. And the funny thing is they ignored me when I asked for the final number on my last bill, 3 days later, after I sent couple emails and text messages they finally gave me a number and guess what the experience not bad enough so they go ahead and charged me extra $200 on top of what I have to pay on my last bill. The director told me they will return the money they overcharged me back and a week already still see nothing. So of course I have to email back and forth for many times, now they told me it takes up to 6 weeks for it to get the money they overcharge me back. They are very fast to enroll you in to get your money but when there is a problem they will talk around but no action. Plus the whole time she was in the program I received 0 pictures of her and the activities feed update was really bad and delay all the time. Anyway it is really "the learning experience" for my family after all.

Then given a hour by hour break down of general what suppose to be happening in class. We as our child if they did prescribed activity they would more time than not say no. My son attended this daycare for three years, and I'm extremely disappointed with how things ended…read more Soon after entering the 3 year old class room, my son was labeled as "a bad kid." He was being sent home almost every other day due to behavior issues. Issues that come about ONLY at their center. While they gave incident reports and allowed a support specialist to observe, they never let that person implement a plan to help him. After speaking with multiple parents, many are unfortunately experiencing a similar situation as their child entered the 3 year old class. The behaviors they documented ex: tantrums, trouble with transitions, reacting to being scolded - are completely normal for a 3-year-old. These behaviors don't happen at home or elsewhere, which makes me feel the daycare environment played a role in shaping them considering he has attended for the past 3 years consistently. They raised my child. They raised my child to believe that this is how to behave in a daycare environment. Instead of supporting him through a difficult phase, they expelled him. If your child has big emotions or needs extra support, this may not be the right place. If you are wanting this center to be the care taker for your infant until toddler years, expect an unstable foundation, in which I was expecting the opposite. I do not believe that this center is equipped to handle children with big personalities or that do not fit into a narrow mold. I have since learned that this classroom is extremely chaotic and not structured. They absolutely need more experienced care staff for this age group. This was a heartbreaking ending to what should have been a trusted relationship. I do NOT recommend ** I want to add that this center BLOCKED me on Facebook after leaving the same review on their business reviews page on Facebook. Probably expected the review to go away. Do NOT trust someone who throws rocks and hides their hands!**

Over several weeks (October-November), our child was injured multiple times by the same child, including bite marks and other physical incidents. Some of these incidents were documented with incident reports, while others were not. We also personally witnessed aggressive behavior on more than one occasion. I understand that incidents can happen at this age; however, in our experience the behavior occurred often enough to significantly impact the classroom environment. From what was communicated to us by staff at the time, these incidents were affecting multiple children, and the classroom teacher was also struggling. While a behavior plan was reportedly in place, the incidents continued. At one point, we observed the classroom teacher in visible emotional distress due to the situation. We do not fault the teacher at all; she appeared to be doing everything she could under extremely difficult circumstances. Our concerns were with how the situation was handled at the administrative level and the lack of effective intervention to ensure safety for everyone in the classroom. After raising concerns, communication was extremely disappointing. Multiple requests for copies of all incident reports involving our child went unanswered. While some documentation was provided, we did not receive all incident reports or redacted information related to our child despite repeated requests. In addition, a confidentiality issue occurred in which our contact with corporate was shared with another parent. This resulted in that parent confronting me on school grounds in a way that felt inappropriate and upsetting. The ongoing situation caused significant emotional distress for our family and ultimately forced us to remove our child and secure alternative care on very short notice, resulting in financial loss and disruption to our work and family life. I'm sharing this so other parents can ask detailed questions about classroom safety, behavior management, documentation practices, and communication before enrolling. Every child deserves a safe environment, and every parent deserves transparency. The silver lining is that our son is now in a different school where he feels safe and supported. He has told us he loves his new school and does not want to return to what he described as the "mean class" at O2B.

Because we will definitely miss taking our son here…read more --- --- --- As of this writing, our son is about 2.5 years old and had been going to Kiddie Academy since he was about 5 months. The only reason I say all of this in the past tense is because we just moved out of state. If not for that, we definitely would have kept him here indefinitely. Back when my wife was pregnant and we were touring all of the daycares in the area, we truly could not believe how expensive they were. Literally, the cost of daycare was the same as a monthly payment for a luxury sports car. Heck, it was even on par with my first mortgage. How does anyone afford this?! But fortunately, while still cheap by no means, Kiddie Academy was definitely the most affordable option in the area. And as first time parents, we *immediately* learned that not only was tuition worth it, but we were probably under-paying. Being able to leave our son in the hands of these lovely people for up to 50 hours a week was invaluably helpful for two working parents. We knew he was in great hands and we knew he was having a lot more fun at school than he would have been at home with us. If you're in the Carrollwood/Northdale area, be sure to stop by for a tour here before you decide on visiting another school. We are excited for our new adventure but sad for our son to leave his first group of best friends. This is my last review of a Tampa Bay business. I wanted to save a place that was incredibly important to us for my last review, and there was no place more crucial to our family than Kiddie Academy over the last two years. Now, it's off to writing about a million businesses in the Houston area!
