Attention PARENTS. TLC has been charging parents Late fees for tuition paid after 8am Tuesday. The contract states late fees are applied Wednesday. Everyone needs to ask for refund!!! If you care about the safety of your kids then enroll in a different daycare. My daughter has been sick everyday since starting here.We feel this place is dangerous and don't care about your kids. We called Mandy with a few issues and she told us "if your not happy here then take your kids somewhere else." Then she said that since we still owe some of the summer fees that technically she can drop us. What kind rude unprofessional employees do they have? We just received a call from Marcie (director/manager)and she asked about this review and told me my daughter is no longer welcome at TLC. We told her she can't do that and she said"I do what I want". Defiantly contacting a lawyer about this and all the refunds for those parents. PLEASE read INSPECTION VIOLATION *Based on observation, the facility did not maintain an area of the center in safe condition. Evidence: There is a broken picket on the fencing around the air conditioning units at the main building. The top portion of the picket is broken off leaving sharp pieces of wood accessible to children. *Based on observation, the facility did not ensure children were fastened securely at the feeding table. Evidence: Three infants sitting in seats at the feeding table were not wearing protective belts. There was a protective belt in each seat available for use. *Based on review of staff records, the facility did not follow up on a criminal record check within 30 days. Evidence: Staff #3. start date 12/16/13 cps sent within time frame but has not yet been received and no follow up regarding it's whereabouts had been done. *Based on inspection of first aid supplies, one of the required items was not available. EVIDENCE: Antiseptic cleansing solution/wipes was not in the first aid supplies. *Description: Based on inspection, the facility failed to include triangular bandages in their first aid supplies. EVIDENCE: The first aid supplies in the building and bus #1 and bus #2 were missing a minimum of 2 triangular bandages as required by licensing standards. * Based on record review, 1 of 8 child records did not have the required physical examination completed by or under the direction of a physician. Evidence: Child #2 (enrolled 04/09/12) record does not contain a physical examination. Each child is required to a physical examination completed before the child attends the center or within one month after attendance. *Based on review of staff/licensee records, the facility did not ensure tb tests were updated every 2 years. Evidence: Staff/licensee #6 The most recent tb test was dated 12/5/08. It is required to be updated every 2 years. *Based on inspection, the facility did not ensure areas outside the center is being maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: The tree on the older preschool playground (left side) is hanging low enough over the side fence such that children could run into the branches and possibly be hit in the eye or other part of the body. The low branch presents it presents a hazard to children *Based on review of a sample of staff/licensee records, the facility did not ensure the most recent criminal checks were updated before 3 years since the date of the last sworn statement, central registry, and criminal history record clearance. Evidence: #6 staff/licensee An update of the sworn statement, central registry, and criminal history record clearance were not on file. They are required to be updated before three years of the last criminal checks. All three criminal check documents were more than three years old. *Based on review of the menu, the center did not include all food components as required by a recognized authority such as the USDA. EVIDENCE: A bread component was not listed on a lunch menu. read more

Attention parents: Please don't let two negative reviews by the same family deter you from sending your child(ren) to this great daycare. Although Shannon M. and William M. posted two separate reviews here on Yelp, William M. posted the exact two reviews verbatim under his account on Google. In response to William M.'s post, it enlightens me that you have such harsh words for such a wonderful service organization. My daughter has been at TLC for over 2.5 years and all of the staff has been courteous, kind and extremely professional. In fact, my newborn son will be starting at TLC in a few short weeks. In the past 2.5 years, the staff has helped my daughter reach major milestones - such as walking at 10 months old, using utensils, learning her alphabet and counting to 20 prior to age 2, cleaning up and sharing with friends. Because of the time that the staff puts into each child's personal and educational development, my daughter's capabilities, awareness and vocabulary are so much further ahead of her peers and cousins that have attended daycare facilities in which all age children are lumped together. Mr. M., you mentioned that your daughter is sick everyday since starting at TLC. That's pretty amazing and unfortunate that your daughter has been sick for 365+ days per year! Maybe you should consider a new pediatrician to determine what is causing so many illnesses (I also have a great pediatrician if you need a recommendation). Yes, my daughter has been sick because young children put everything possible in their mouths and young children don't know how to cover their mouths but then again, what child hasn't been sick?!? I have spoken with parents of various daycare facilities and all children get sick, but I have been reassured that my child will be less sick when she starts kindergarten because she has been exposed to illnesses and built up her immune system. Mr. M., I'm also sadden that you are airing out your personal financial situation on your review that you haven't paid your summer fees and incur weekly late fees. TLC is a service organization, not a financial institute, and it's not fair that your daughter participates in the bounce house, pony rides, ice cream socials, etc. that the rest of us TLC parents paid for, in a timely manner, in order for our children to participate in this past summer. Finally, Mr. M., I would like to know if you read each inspection and post the historical results for the past several years for each and every restaurant that you dine at? Yes, TLC may have had minor infractions, but it appears that each violation has been addressed and the facility is still highly ranked by the Dept. of Social Services. In response to Ms. M. according to the TLC Parent Handbook that I received in 2014, "TLC reserves the right to cancel any student's enrollment for any reason at the Director's discretion" (Page 9). In the same paragraph in the handbook, it also notes that a two week written notice is required before withdrawing your child from the Center. If I was as disgruntled as you, I would be writing my two week withdrawal notice while I was taking the time to write my two Yelp and Google Reviews. And Ms. M., no I am not employed by TLC. I am a mother of a child enrolled at TLC that works in a law department in Corporate America :) However, I would be honored and proud if I worked with the superb staff of TLC. read more

Please demand refunds. I'm with the other reviewer William M. This place is a joke and ripping people off with the late fees. We believe the place is very unsanitary and dangerous. Our child has been sick the whole time there.Mandy and Marcy are rude and don't address issues in a professional manner. That's why I have resorted to giving bad reviews. Marcie called me and removed my daughter from daycare b/c of a bad review. So parents ask your self what kind of business removes a child because of a bad Yelp review. It's either the review or the refund of all the late fees they owe parents. I will say you did me a favor b/c as disgusting this place is I was going to remove her immediately. PLEASE PARENTS don't listen to future reviews they are obviously the work of the unprofessional employees of TLC. And thanks for notifying me of a handbook that I never received or even signed anything related to a handbook. That is just more ammo for my attorney. Also I am aware that in the contract it states a two week notice has to be given before dismissing a child. Oops I guess you can do what you want. Right? This daycare is going to suffer a lawsuit and fines for discrimination.Obviously this daycare has no interest in the wellbeing of you children, just a paycheck to them. We believe this place is not suitable for children. My daughter was enrolled here and the staff is very rude and unprofessional. I hope all the parents listen to what I say when I tell you this daycare seems to care more about money then the care of children. I seen kids get grabbed by staff and yelled at. It's just not a good environment for kids. read more

My son attend TLC and loves it!! He is loves his teachers and is genuinely loved back! They are teaching him some sign language, colors, animal sounds, and so much more!! And he absolutely loves the food!!! The staff is friendly and the management makes you feel welcome! I would definitely recommend this day care to friends! read more
