WOW! I was blown away by Stephanie and her team's talent for my client's wedding. We do a lot of outdoor adventurous weddings which require dealing with all sorts of natural elements but Stephanie and her team not only made the wedding site look beautiful but they were securely set in place in case of any gusts of wind! We hired her again for another wedding at Under Canvas Smoky Mountains and I will continue to recommend her as my top florist in the Knoxville/Chattanooga area. read more

For 11+ years, I built my wedding floral design studio from the ground up. With a background in graphic design, I created our brand, website and reached a top SEO rating online. I took our brand from being seen as the “budget-friendly option”, to consistently drawing luxury 5-figure wedding packages. Now, we serve those who work in the wedding industry, and other entrepreneurs. Hi, I’m Stephanie Lang, owner of The Lavender Vine. I began my career out of college as a graphic designer, working for family-owned businesses and large corporations. While in this career, I started doing wedding flowers as a side hustle, and fell in love. For over a decade, I built my wedding floral studio, Lang Floral Designs, into a successful and thriving business. With my graphic design background, I created our brand, website and reached a top SEO rating online for my own business. While thriving in the Chattanooga wedding industry in 2023, I felt God begin to speak to me about pivoting my business away from Wedding Flowers. The Lavender Vine was born out of a vision to serve wedding vendors and entrepreneurs through Branding, Web Design, SEO, Education, and Business Coaching.

Lang Floral Designs did an amazing job on my wedding flowers 3 years ago. To this day, when people see our wedding photos they always comment on how stunning the flowers were. Stephanie was a great listener and was excited about carrying my vision for my wedding into the flowers. She took every little detail of my requests and made it into something more than I could have ever imagined. She had great suggestions for me as I worked out how much to spend on different types of flowers and how much bang for my buck I would get. She knows her flowers!!! Down to what would last long in a summer wedding, to what colors and types are available and will look good together. She also knows weddings! I got the feeling that she has a very good understanding of all the prep and logistics that go into delivering the flowers, keeping them looking fresh, hanging or installing decor elements, and coordinating with everyone (from planner to cake baker to venue). She went above and beyond without stressing me out with every detail. She was always so friendly, confident, creative, excited and positive. I could tell that she truly loves weddings, love and collaborating with brides! I chose her because I followed her on social media (facebook and instagram) and saw that her flowers for other brides were always so unique to each wedding and were always very modern, and on trend. Every bouquet was stunning! She did bouquets and bouts/corsages for my bridal party and family as well as centerpieces for the reception and arrangements for a cocktail hour at our ceremony venue. Trish officiated our wedding in October 2023. Our initial impression over the phone was a somewhat…read morepositive one. However, during and after our wedding was a nightmare. I will give a full review below, but the most significant issue was she wrote the WRONG DATE ON OUR WEDDING LICENSE. Our wedding was a destination wedding, like a lot of Gatlinburg weddings, and the only way to fix the license would be to travel 12 hours back to Tennessee and resign everything. We decided not to deal with even more stress, so we had to leave our marriage license with the wrong date. All of our legal documents will reflect the wrong date of our wedding. This was a mistake that never should have happened as a wedding officiant. We paid $400 for officiating and the service did not reflect this. During the exchanging of the rings, Trish started with me (bride). She said to "repeat after me" and she read the ENTIRE ring vows, instead of breaking it up into sections. I whispered to her I couldn't remember the entire vow and asked her to break it up so I could repeat it. Instead, she ignored me, moved onto the next portion of her speech and SKIPPED the ring exchange vows with the groom. Prior to wedding, Trish informed us she would send us copy of her script, but she did not. So the first time we heard her officiant speech was during the ceremony. I did not get the opportunity to meet Trish before walking down the aisle. Trish was supposed to meet me prior, but later made the excuse that I was still getting ready. Trish should have waited until I was finished to introduce herself and explain what to expect and her speech. We had to check in with Trish multiple times to get an update on when our wedding license would arrive. She assured us it was on the way, but said she would contact the courthouse and be in touch. She never reached back out so I had to ask her again. Even though it was 2 weeks later, she had not contacted the courthouse yet. She finally contacted the courthouse and found out our license wouldn't automatically be mailed and told us to call the courthouse to order it- even though she said it was on the way weeks ago. After calling the courthouse and ordering the license, we found out she wrote the WRONG DATE ON OUR MARRIAGE LICENSE. I do not recommend hiring Trish as your wedding officiant. I strongly recommend asking the company you hire WHO will be officiating because it's common for companies to sub-contract people like Trish to fill in when they can't be in two places at once. This was an awful experience and we wish we could go back in time and choose someone else.
