Then you sit down and the staff gathers your scents and lets you smell them together and makes recommendations for which ones go together best but ultimately it is your choice. I made a body lotion. I tried it today. It's light and absorbs nicely. You can definitely smell it but I wouldn't personally cal it overpowering. It was a fun experience. Note that this is not a "class". They don't teach you to make the candles and whatnot. They help you come up with an individualized scent for them and then you do get to mix it all together.

He took his time showing my daughter the process, from pouring, mixing, balancing the smells and everything in between. He knew a lot about scents and what goes well together. The shop itself was really nice and tidy. Bonus points on the "secret" room that had some gaming stuff like pool table, mini arcade area and some board games. I say secret because the connecting door is hidden as one of the shelves. He let us take our time in the room that is actually an adjoining room to his shop that has its own entrance/exit door. We could have also bought food from next door and the shop offers drinks. They have different events every month. I find these are slightly more expensive than Bed Bath and Beyond candles that I usually stock up on durin sale. Step 1 - Choose your scent. We picked oils from a choice of over 90+ varieties. For my candle, I picked Black Sea, Deep Sea, and Exotic Oud. For the reed diffuser, I picked White Tea and Yuzu. Mah Wife chose Cypress, Hotel Lux, and Sea Breeze. For her essential oils dropper, she went with Verbena and White Tea. Step 2 - Choose your vessel. As mentioned we both chose a candle, a reed diffuser, and oil dropper. We combined our chosen scents into 1 oz or 2 oz portions and poured them into their appropriate vessels. Step 3 - Wait. The candles take a couple of hours to harden and set, so we did some shopping and came back to pick them up. The oil dropper and diffuser you can take immediately. Step 4 - Enjoy! We love these scents and because we made them, those scents are not available anywhere else and are completely unique. Wick is a fun experience for a date night or group outing and would highly recommend.

The service is wonderful and the sales associates are warm and friendly. The store is larger than some other Yankee Candle stores and has many great products. I am allergic to a lot of floral scents, they have so many scents to choose from, there is something for anyone who wants their home or car to smell warm and welcoming. Their candles are far superior to most candles on the market. The tarts are great as are the tea lights and they are usually on sale. I love the wooden wick candles that crackle when you burn them. They also have wall plugins and car scents. They even have room sprays and gel beads for small rooms. The vases and jars holding the candles are all wonderful and they have accessories to hold the candles which are great for home decorating, especially around the holidays. The scenterpiece items are fantastic! I am newly addicted and in love! I love the fall scents that fill up my home. The scenterpieces come in many unique designs that fit any home design. They also come in different sizes and have timers. The store is also great about accepting coupons, whether they are printed or are on your phone.
