Sorry it was the way of the hive not the way of the bee but still a great book I recommend it highly.

I am a school teacher in New York City. I'm always looking for interesting things for my students to read. When I went into the laughing ogre I wasn't sure where I would find books that were appropriate for my students but I got assistance from one of the staff and he recommended The Way of the Hive which my students are loving! I'm going to have to get more copies because it's in such great demand. thank you to the staff of the laughing ogre who made such a great recommendation.

This is by far my favorite comic shop. I stop by every time I am in the area hour, even though there are other shops closer. I've been coming here for years, and will continue to do so. Knowledgeable staff, and they're respectful to all patrons. Every time I'm in the mood for something new or different, there's always someone on staff that's able to recommend titles based on what I'm in the mood for and preferred art style. I love their selection of Manga and miniatures. Highly recommend. I wish I could give them more than a 5/5

So much to see and take in from comics old and new to toys to other collectibles PLUS check out their floor!! It is the single greatest floor I have ever seen. It consists of comic book covers (facsimiles) under a laminate surface. I spent a lot of time simply looking at all of it. The owner is a super friendly and knowledgeable guy and he is a hybrid collector spanning old (me) and newer (him). He brought me up to speed on a lot of what's been going on in the comics world and biz since I used to collect on a regular basis in the 1980's. So much has gone on. I didn't purchase anything but I came away with a lot of information from a most personable expert. I truly enjoyed chatting with him and soaking in all of the atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for all of your comic needs but mostly for an owner that knows and cares about the business,

Okay first and foremost I want to apologize for the lack of photos. Had I known they wouldn't have…read morehad a Yelp record already I would have taken more. But as someone who sincerely relishes and cherishes shops that are welcoming and open to everyone who wants to participate in my favorite hobby, I wanted to take the time to give them a quick review to get them in the map. I should also preface this by saying they are not my local shop, but I drove 25 minutes north to meet them based on what I was hearing and seeing about them. Secret Identity Comics (SIC) is a very small and intimate comic book shop nestled in a corner of the main street spaces of Delaware. It's got that mom and pop feel that matches it's size and scope, and is co-run by a husband and wife team (apparently when it comes to comic book shops I have a type). They have odd hours as this place is a labor of love of all things comics and affiliated pop culture. They both work second jobs to pay the bills and get the business off the ground, but you can tell from the moment you walk in that this is where their passion resides. On one wall is their extremely deep current issues wall. I'm told the wife is the buyer and I caught immediate indications that she knows her stuff - a fantastic combination of what's hot now coupled with strong independent labels and titles. The selection truly is well curated, offering issues of comics you sometimes have to turn to eBay or larger establishments to get. On the opposing wall is an extremely rich collection of volume works and assorted trade backs. A veritable cornucopia of various volumes ripe for the plucking and reading. In the center of the room is a modest longbox collection, but overall I was impressed with what they have. Clearly this is a new place still getting their feet and focusing on contemporary works, and frankly that's a great way to get going. I picked up quite a few things when I was there. They also offer a few rare items, some great "bundled" single issue runs, and odds and ends. Another major thing to note for us collectors - they're a registered CGC submission location. I already got my stuff lined up with my local haunt, but it's worth noting if you live closer and want to get your precious items graded and slabbed without having to go too far. Finally - and this is me getting a bit political, sorry - they are very LBGTQ friendly, and as someone who advocates for and identifies with these communities, that is an extremely important quality. The only negative reviews this place gets seems to be predominantly backlash for being openly supportive through events like Drag book readings, I felt obliged to put what little weight I can for celebrating their openness and normalization of anyone and everyone who enjoys the hobby. Definitely give them a try - and please take pictures! There's plenty of photos on their google listing too.

Finally was able to make it inside while I was in town and (learned the hours the last time I made the mistake and stopped by on a closed day). The store is ok. The staff was willing to help. They have a large selection of Graphic novels. I found a few things I liked, I would recommend if your local, but if you are from out of town looking for a new comic store to browse back issues don't waste your time. Not a large selection to search through and the long and short boxes are packed so tight that it makes it hard to look through them without first pulling a bunch out, then squeezing them back in.

Have you ever pined for that old toy from your distant childhood that meant so much to you back…read morethen and was somehow lost or misplaced as you grew older? You bring it up every once in awhile at family functions and comment on how much you wish you could pass it on to your children or maybe just place it on a shelf for your own personal viewing. Well, the Columbus Toy & Game Show very likely has that toy inside waiting for you to purchase and enjoy all over again! This show has been going on for years. It started out fairly small and was held at the Veteran's Memorial on Broad Street. It finally outgrew Vet's Memorial and moved to the Ohio State Fairgrounds where it has remained to this day. It is held twice a year, on a Sunday, and has steadily grown to one of the biggest toy shows in the Midwest. There are toys for every genre and age at this show. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, G.I. Joe, Star Trek, Star Wars, Care Bears, wrestling memorabilia, My Little Pony, Godzilla; the list goes on and on. If you're a big kid at heart, or have little ones of your own, everyone is guaranteed a good time. There is a fee to park as well as an admission fee which has steadily risen each year, which can be a little frustrating. It still costs way less than a Comic Convention. They hold a raffle every hour and give away door prizes, and for the past few years they even have celebrities there for autographs and pictures. There is a costume contest, so there are lots of folks walking around in cosplay who are willing to pose for pictures. There is a gaming section with an entire row of arcade games and also concessions so you can refuel before sallying forth. It takes about four hours to walk around to the 100's of tables set up, but when you leave you will have a smile on your face.
