Even though, my groupon was for a set number of lashes, the technician gave me extra to fill in the gaps where I'd lost lashes from a previous salon who'd glued them too close to my lash line. Having been to over a dozen different lash salons, this was also the first time any technician explained to me the benefits of taking a break between lash applications, to allow my lashes to regrow longer and stronger. I have come less frequently in the last few years since moving to the States, but nevertheless this was one of my go to places once upon a time. I am SUPER bummed that they have changed their make-up application prices. It used to be about $45 for make up application -- but you could put that towards buying their products, so you don't just "lose" that money. No brainer! I came in this past Saturday and the new pricing is $75 for a full face and you can't use that towards products. The only thing I did get with the pricing was a set of false lashes. They do have a "targeted" make-up application that is $45 but you choose the service. For example: eyes, lips, contouring, etc. Which is also an insane price in my opinion. Sephora does the same type of targeted service for FREE. Honestly, they do a great job at application and I do really like their products including some of their skin care line (particularly Scientific Organics). I also enjoyed their quick and dirty 3 minute facial prior to applying the make up, it makes it feel a little more spa like--- but the spa feel ends there. Almost every location, including this one, ends up being small and cramped, especially with how busy they can become. I am not sure why they have never invested in a more spacious location, they could certainly use it. In my experience, always book an appointment if you can. It is usually very tough to do a walk-in. However, it was easy to schedule an appointment with only 1-2 days notice. A Beauty Club membership pretty much pays for itself if you come in for services and/or buy products. Plus, they have a whole bunch of perks like free "targeted" makeup on your birthday, 50% off a facial, 10% off products, etc. Final word: The new pricing is going to make me think twice about coming back (especially for make up). Sephora still does make-up for $50 and you can put all that towards products (ANYTHING they sell in the store, so it doesn't even have to be make-up-- it can be perfume, hair, bath products, etc). Personally, I prefer Sephora but it is much more difficult to book and you have to do so much further in advance (weeks- months). Caryl Baker is still a solid choice, and it is still on my list for other services--- but I can't justify the new price for make up and would only do that if I was in a pinch.

There are different technicians, but everyone is excellent. They're perfectionists and meticulous. I can tell them what I'm looking for - and they'll definitely deliver. Unlike other eyelash extension places, they always understand what I want before putting lashes on me. Best of all, these lashes LAST. The full look lasts around 3 weeks for me (Which is a miracle. Admittedly I do rub my eyes, use cleansing oil, the whole shebam.) I don't want a "I bought $1 falsies from eBay and stacked them on my eye" look. Sherise marked my ear and I stared at it for what felt like an eternity then she marked it again to ensure I was satisfied, she didn't pierce until I was 100% certain. She was really patient through this whole process which I really appreciated. She made me feel super comfortable & I barely felt the needle go in.
