Today, I did my FIRST EVER BRAZILIAN WAX!! **GASP** IT WAS AMAZING!  Well, the waxing part stung a bit...but I have tattoos and went through 30-hours of unmedicated labor, so, this wasn't as bad as I had imagined. (Not saying you have to have those things to be able to tolerate a Brazilian wax, but that's how I psyched myself up for it). My appointment was at 8:45 this morning. She was there already so I didn't have to wait. She greeted me and then left the room so I could get undressed from the waist down (privacy, for this? Yes, thank you very much!) She already knew how apprehensive I was and how nervous this unknown was to me. She literary walked me through each step she was doing! She kept me talking...and not mindless babble, but really engaging conversation. I didn't have to strike an awkward pose - like the cannonball (knees to chest), the frog (soles of feet together and knees open wide), and I certainly didn't have to go face down, ass up! And she went over what to expect, what to do and what not to do, and extensive after care. There was no time to keep one side covered while she did the other side - she worked both sides so easily! So, when the right side was done, she just had me change my leg positions! (The position I was in was on my back, if left leg was straight, my right leg was bent to make a figure 4, and vice versa.) And for the back end, all I did was lie on my stomach. I didn't feel self-conscious, overwhelmed, or exposed at all. I even bought these little bottles of aftercare stuff, called Love My Muff! She uses them so she was able to explain their purpose to me. Oh, and when talking about those areas, she never made it crude or uncomfortable, just matter-of-fact. Before I end, let me tell you, she has the best music! So, with all that said, I highly recommend Sweet Vanity waxing.

As a very hairy Indian girl, I have probably tried every form of hair removal (both temporary and…read morepermanent) possible. Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal solution, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. While laser hair removal may help in the reduction of hair, you can count on electrolysis to get rid of those suckers for life. I got my lower legs, brazilian, and underarms lasered, and they worked fabulously! Lasering on my face, however, was the worst idea ever. LADIES: do not make this mistake, do NOT get lasering done on your sideburns/under chin/neck no matter how they try to sell it to you. Upper lip worked fine for me, but the hair on the sideburns/under chin/neck grew back way thicker and blacker. I know this has happened to multiple people so please take this warning to heart! I have been to many many electrologists, I counted 10 off the top of my head, and Christine is the BEST out of all them. I firmly believe this! I used to go to her at another location and she was able to get rid of more hair in an area than any other electrologist before me. She is very knowledgeable and doesn't make me scab, which you would think would be the norm, but you'd be surprised at how many electrologists make you scab. She's so efficient and is able to get out a ton of hair in a short period of time. I also like that she is good about working an area so that the dark hairs are taken first, and then the rest of the hairs are worked on in a sparse manner so that the area looks clean and even. She is great at making conversation and is a wonderful person. I wish I had taken before pictures, but I didn't. She does post before/ progress pics on her Facebook page so I would definitely check them out! Her office is clean and accessible. The location is located right off I-30 so it's convenient for people coming in from out of town. I will continue to go to Christine and would highly recommend her to family/friends!
