OUTSTANDING!!!!! Look no further. If you are looking for the BEST B&B, you found it, book it. I booked 1 night for my Niece and me and we were blown away. Connie meet us on the front porch. She helped bring our bags in. Later John took our bags to our rooms. You simply do not get this amazing treatment these days. We started our stays with massages in our rooms. So very relaxing. In between the massages we enjoyed coffee and homemade banana bread and brownies. After our massages we had dinner in the private dining room. OMG we felt so special. Connie was our dinner Chef and John served of amazing meals. My Niece kept saying "this is some of the best food I have ever eaten". We are both foodies and we were in Heaven. Most of the salad came from their garden. Our grass-fed Filets melted in our mouths. Green beans, mushrooms, and onion veggies were perfectly sautéed. The mix of sweet potatoes and fingerling potatoes were cooked to perfection too. The bottle of wine, maybe a bit more lol, was delicious. We ordered two super ate desserts so we could try both. YUM! After dinner we walk into the living room and they had a Happy Birthday sign for me. Both a happy tear to my eye. We then relaxed in the hot tub before turning in. When we walked into our bedrooms the beds were turned down and there was a small plate of chocolates. We stayed in the Rose room and the Cowboy room. The sheets and the bed were very comfy. We woke up refreshed and very relaxed. We went down to the sunroom for my Birthday breakfast. They didn't give us a stale doughnut and bad coffee. John was our Breakfast Chef. You actually get to pick what you want for breakfast just like you pick what you wanted for dinner. Fresh fruit, homemade granola, we had two different eggs dishes, my niece ordered the French toast and I got the buttermilk pancake. There was also the most delicious bacon and biscuits. Needless to say I had to ask for a take away container for both my dinner and breakfast . After breakfast John asked when he could come bring my bags down. We felt like Queens. Before we left we booked my next Birthday weekend. We booked all of the rooms. Today I received, a handwritten, Thank You card. Simply the icing on the cake! If you want to experience the sweetest and kind Hosts with outstanding food and the comforts of the perfect B&B, book the Lancaster Manor. You will be in for the best experience. John & Connie, thank you so very much. Can't wait to get spoiled for my Medicare birthday weekend.

So close to Dallas but staying here transports you to another time and place. The building is beautiful and a little worn outside but totally comfortable and opulent inside. Just what you might expect from a bed and breakfast in a grande dame historic home. But what sets Lancaster Manor apart is the innkeepers and the level of care and attention to detail. The food is spectacular. All scratch cooking and carefully selected organic ingredients. We were greeted with warm banana bread upon arrival. How thoughtful and amazingly flavorful. The Lancasters are so sharing, so caring. No request is too big or too small. It is obvious that making your stay memorable and perfect is their top priority. People with whom I felt an immediate connection and with whom it is so easy to converse, yet who disappear gracefully when it is time to enjoy breakfast with your companions. And what a breakfast. Biscuits which rival any I've had. A beautiful table. A pecan waffle shaped like Texas and maple syrup produced specially for the inn by a friend in New England. Delicious omelets. I could go on. Suffice it to say my wife declared the breakfast experience the best she has ever had. Our room, the Rose room, was huge. The bed and bedding divine. The bath, decadently large for its time, was more than adequate and, on a very cold night, the heat from the fireplace below the room contributed to a perfectly cozy night. [Make sure you can operate the door lock. I found it sticky but the innkeeper was quick to leave his bed late at night to help us.] We will definitely be back in the spring when flowers are blooming. I expect the grounds of the manor will be glorious along with the surrounding countryside. They also offer meals for groups and special occasions. It wouldn't surprise me if we took advantage of that as well. I only wish 6 stars were possible. Gainesville itself has some small town charm. A lovely town square, a charming coffee shop and a historic train depot. A few restaurants which are good but not great. But the highlight - Lancaster Manor.

The property is beautiful and serene, they've absolutely nailed the old world style, and the FOOD--oh my God, I've never had anything like it. We stayed in the Austrian Haus, and splurged on the Ultimate VIP Package, and it was worth every penny. The Room: The Austrian Haus is very roomy and comfortable, with a beautiful old world rustic feel to it. I loved everything about it, ESPECIALLY the spa shower and sauna room. Large, open shower area, and an infrared sauna that my husband and I enjoyed so much, it's got us looking for saunas in our area. We came to Muenster just to stay here, and between that and the late July heat making the outdoors a bit more than we could stand, we ended up lounging around in here for most of our stay. Comfy seating, strong wifi, and satellite TV, so we didn't feel cooped up, at all. Loved it, and I'm seriously torn between a desire to check out some of the other accommodations next time, and just continuing to book this one, because we enjoyed it so much. The Property: Absolutely gorgeous farm, nestled in the woods. The Austrian Haus is right next to the garden, so we had an excellent view of a variety of fruit trees, and rows of vegetables. There are also chickens, goats, and some miniature donkeys nearby. We didn't get to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would've liked due to our brilliant decision to come in the hottest part of the summer, but what we did see was beautiful. I look forward to coming back in a cooler part of the year! The Food: They're serious about the farm to table concept, and it shows! Between that and Marcia's incredible culinary skills, these were honestly some of the best meals my husband and I have ever eaten. You can taste the respect for the ingredients in every bite. Everything on the plate shines, and the vegetables are NOT just sides--we found ourselves enjoying them every bit as much as the meat. Even the salads are so good, they had us scraping the bowl! The homemade cheeses are phenomenal, and have effectively ruined even the Whole Foods cheese counter for me. And the desserts! I didn't end up taking any photos during our 3 course dinner in the manner, but I should have. That apple blueberry crumble pie was INCREDIBLE, as well as beautifully plated. I could go on for paragraphs about the food, alone. If Marcia ever publishes a cookbook, I'll preorder. The Add-Ons: There's a number of different packages to choose from, and we went with the "Ultimate VIP Package", to try a bit of everything. Pricey, but SO worth it! To run through some of the items included in it: 1) The snack basket was fantastic. Things like this usually seem to have a few good items on top, but are mostly so-so filler, after that. Not here! We enjoyed everything in it, including some old favorites we hadn't seen in years. 2) The European chocolates are SO GOOD. I now understand why Europeans think our chocolate is garbage. 3) The farm gift we got was a jar of their delicious pickles! I haven't had homemade pickles like this since I was a kid, and don't tell my grandparents, but these are better. 4) We both got a 70 minute massage each, and I don't think we've felt more relaxed, in our lives. We've now decided these are essential, and are looking into local places. 5) The treasure hunt was wonderful. The clues aren't meant to be difficult, and lead you on a nice tour around the property. Each comes with a question or series of questions that had my husband and I sharing our feelings (big deal for him, given how emotionally constipated he normally is!), reminiscing, and laughing. And at the end, more delicious cookies! 6) That charcuterie board was TOP NOTCH. The homemade cheeses and summer sausage were to die for. 7) The private dinner in the library at the manor was lovely. Very romantic setting, and amazing meal. The People: All were friendly and helpful. The owners are fantastic people. We got to chat with Brad a few times, as he goes out to deliver breakfast trays, himself. We only met Marcia at the Saturday night dinner, and enjoyed hearing about the methods they use to preserve food from summer, to use during the winter (they do as much as they can the way folks did 150-200 years ago, so lost of drying and canning!). The way we scheduled everything, we only got to attend one social hour, but I hope to spend more time chatting with them on future visits. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, my husband and I had a wonderful time and left feeling refreshed and energized, and we've decided we're going to have to make this trip once every year or two, and in different seasons (to try out the different seasonal menus). We really want to see it in the winter! I highly recommend Elm Creek Manor, and look forward to future stays.

I booked the room -- the Anthony Suite on the top floor -- a year in advance. This place has a decent refund policy with enough advance notice, so if you are considering the Nethery Estate, book early. There are not a lot of rooms here and it appears from the pictures inside of it that groups/families tend to rent all of them for events, so it can fill up quickly. The estate is a nifty place. It is an older style home, but well kept. You park in the back and are texted a code for the gate to get in. The key to your room is left outside on the back porch and you go to your room as you would like. Definitely a colonial style home with a suit of armor next to the stairs (that's true). If you look closely around, you will see several references to Harry Potter, which my wife enjoyed finding and we looked around. Our room was awesome, with a nice couch and TV in front of it, a small table to sit at to eat, a comfy bed, and a separate bathroom with a cool tiled shower. Downstairs has a small sitting area, a bar, and another room has the long dining room table. My wife and I were comfortable walking into the place and going in and out of our room to activities as we saw fit. We did encounter some of the other guests, but only briefly. There is a small ice machine, which we used while we were there. And there is a mini-fridge next to it that guests had put in some leftovers as there aren't fridges in the rooms (which is all fine because Tiffany handles some of the cooking for you!). My wife and I went outside to hang out for a while because we had been at the zoo during the day and it was 86 degrees -- which is hot for us Oregonians for the beginning of April. We brought swim wear as the first amenity listed on Netherly's site is the salt pool. Sadly, it was not heated and still appeared to have some small branches from the property in it. It hadn't been warm enough for long enough for it to be available. The hot tub adjacent to it didn't have water, but honestly, I didn't remember anything mentioned on the website about a hot tub, so it was not anything I was expecting anyway. We can and enjoyed the back yard for a little bit, but opted to go inside and take a shower to cool off and then head out for activities. The first morning I had paid extra to have food delivered to our room. It is a good thing I put on some pants when I opened the door because Tiffany walked in to set down the food on the table for us. I've been to a couple other B&Bs and it is usually left outside, but I figured I'd not answer in the nude and that was a good idea. We were told she enters to set things up to ensure we don't eat in the bed as it is a nightmare to clean up (and I believe it). We had chopped potatoes, some waffles, and a little bit of fruit. More than enough for my wife and I. The next day we ate at the large table downstairs. We ate with a couple from France that had come to view the eclipse. Tiffany was very pleasant and talkative during that time. I cannot specifically remember all of the food, but it included more chopped potatoes, some toast, and I cannot remember what else. It was good food, though, and more than enough for me to eat. Tiffany also gave us a dessert cornmeal kind of muffin that was pretty good as well. For my personal experience, I look to the front page of Nethery's page that touts "Southern Hospitality Hotel Accommodations with a Pool" that the next page says is open in spring. summer, and fall. I don't think the site even mentions a hot tub, so no worries on that. It may not have been warm enough for the pool to really work out so early in April, but we were looking forward to having a more private pool than one found at a large hotel. The home is beautiful and sitting outside to bask in the sun is nice. Getting in and out was easy and the room we had was awesome. If you pay to have breakfast in your room, make sure you are dressed. You get generous portions and the food is pretty good! But look -- the pool thing aside, which I wouldn't want anyone reading this to make too big of a deal about as it didn't ruin any plans and wasn't the primary reason for my choosing Nethery Estate, we had a great time. My wife was very pleased that Nethery Estate was where we spent our 2nd anniversary together. It is certainly it's own experience and Tiffany is a great host, so if you are considering staying here -- book it.
