And it's part of the reason we rarely go to movies any more, in general, but it's something the theater could have control over. We went to the 6 p.m. showing of The Odyssey XD. There was a modest sized audience at that time ... which is why we chose it. However, two separate couples chose to bring younger than preschool age children to this show ... One child must have been around a year. The other couple brought a child that looked like she was around three. Of course, in a movie that was in no way meant for children, and featured many war scenes and images that likely would be scary and overwhelming for young children, the children cried, talked and got up and down during the show. At one point toward the end "climactic scene, one of the couples turned on their cell phone flash light and were waving it around. I understand that sometimes it's hard to get sitters and have a date night out. However ... In no way should the theater allow people to bring young children into a movie like The Odyssey. Everyone else in that theater had paid money to see that show - and perhaps paid for sitters, or it was their one night off from work ... or whatever ... and had their experience impacted by the choice of these couples to bring children in to the auditorium for a 2 1/2 hour show. Definitely an area for the theater to consider being a little more proactive. Additionally, never saw anyone pop in to check on the audience and make certain everything was alright ... What's more quintessential summer bucket list than a drive-in movie!!!!…read more Evergreen Drive-In has been doing drive-ins for way longer than I've been alive and they know how to make the experience perfect! With three movie screens and lots, you always have options to pick from when coming to a movie. We were prepared for large crowds as we went for Toy Story 5's opening weekend. You can arrive earlier than the listed box office time. We showed up at 6:30 and drove right in! Come early, grab a spot, and enjoy the summer! We came hungry so we stopped by the Concession Stand. They do request that you don't bring your own food... and you won't be disappointed with the options. We, of course, grabbed the commemorative large popcorn bucket.. it was the perfect amount for 4 adults! I also snagged a Pepperoni Roll, large coke, and a box of Bunch-a-Crunch! The prices are reasonable and help to keep this community icon up and running for years to come. As you enter, they give you a list of rules and a small bag for any trash. Both of these keep the place clean and avoid any issues throughout the night. I cannot wait to come back for more movies all summer long!!

This is a fantastic place to see a movie or two. There is a big screen and a large parking…read morelot/viewing area. Take a radio, or you can rent one there. You can also use your vehicle's radio, but beware of draining your battery. You can watch the movie from inside your vehicle comma or bring a blanket to watch from outside. Some people get creative and watch from the beds of their trucks, a van seat on the grass, etc. Before the movies begin, kids usually play together in the big grassy area in front of the screen -- where it's too close to park and see the movies. The whole place is kept very clean, and the snack bar is filled with all the "tterrific but horrible" movie theater offerings you would expect, including nachos, burgers, ice cream, and (of course) candy, pop, and popcorn! But, these prices are much more realistic and reasonable than at the walk in theaters. The staff is wonderfully friendly, and there have always been two working pinball machines when we visit! The audio and visual quality of the movies is always terrific. You'll also get to see some nostalgic advertising - like the countdown in between the movies, which I'm guessing is actually from the era it depicts. (If not, it does a great job at making it seem that way to a modern audience.)
