The Kitchen is a fun place to hang out and one of my family's favorite Columbia destinations. We've played pickleball, ice-skated, played cornhole and just hung out and eaten at the grill. Everything is great. I think I'd just suggest the following couple things: 1. If you ice skate, bring your own skates or wear at least 3 pairs of socks. The skates are almost unusable they are so uncomfortable. I went with my two sons and they could not skate for more than 20 minutes. My youngest is still healing from blisters. My oldest just stopped after 10 minutes. We won't be coming back for that unless we find some cheap second hand skates. No amount of adjusting or loosening helps. 2. You need to discount your outdoor courts. Nobody is going to pay $40 to play pickleball outdoors. I've been to the Kitchen probably 10 - 12 times and have yet to see anyone playing pickleball outdoors. It affects the outdoor experience when one half of your courtyard is never used and sits boring and empty. It would be more fun to hear people using the courts. Or you could recycle that space for something else. read more

Went for happy hour and the burger special on Wednesday. Won't be coming back. There was only one bartender for the whole establishment even though there was a birthday party that management was aware of. Lots of employees just walking around but not helping the poor slammed bartender. At one point a guy said he had been waiting 15 min for a drink and it was so long that happy hour ended and they didn't want to honor the price. On top of that I received burnt onion rings that came in two massive clumps on my plate after waiting about half an hour for food. They need better management. read more

Pretty cool atmosphere overall. Our bartender, Brady, was fantastic. Super easy to talk to, great at keeping the conversation going, and had spot-on suggestions for drinks and food. The smashburger was delicious, especially with the sweet potato fries. Plenty of pickleball courts and other fun ways to stay entertained. read more

We rented a cabana for people to get together after my son graduated. It was truly the perfect setting. I wasn't aware that there wouldn't be servers, but it ended up great. I just ordered a bunch of appetizers (all really good), got drinks for the table and told our guests to put it on our tab if they went to get food or drinks for themselves. I wish I had taken pictures, it's such a great atmosphere! read more

The Kitchen Grill & Games is an awesome idea and a much needed hang out space in Columbia. They have indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, cornhole, giant outdoor chess, a huge screen for watching sports, and space to just hang out and chill with a drink. We came for lunch and ordered the burger, pulled pork and tater tots. All were yummy! We also got the funnel cake fries for dessert, also yummy. We played pickleball outside under the covered pavilion and it was very windy, causing the roof of the pavilion to rattle loudly but it didn't bother us. We still had fun! The staff were friendly, especially the red headed kid who brought us our food. There are definitely some growing pains, as this is a new place and they are still figuring things out, but overall it was nice and we'd come back. read more

Food was decent and a good variety of bowls and sandwiches/burgers. I wouldn't come here for the food but it's good enough to have a decent night with people as there are a lot of games like pickleball, ping, pong, board games, cornhole all of that stuff. The only thing is that although it's a fun atmosphere, it can definitely get loud and there which can make it a little tough to visit. Super well staffed. It looked like there was a stage there too which I'm not sure if they do live music but something may be worth looking into. read more

Came here for a Mothers Day brunch buffet after the Park cancelled theirs. We probably should have checked it out before we paid. We got there about 30 minutes after they were supposed to start serving. So many things were out. No eggs, patatos picked over, no bacon. Plus no plates...just a tray with a piece of paper on it to put your food on. We had to hunt for silverware. No milk for oatmeal or cereal. I was told they spilled it all last night. I guess it's a great place for a burger and pickleball but I don't think I'd ever go back or any kind of meal. I don't recommend. read more

Was excited to try out this new spot in town, but was sadly disappointed by the food. We both went for the healthier bowl options and they lacked flavor, so maybe more sauce is needed? My bet is the fried food is delicious and goes great after playing pickleball! We did reserve a court for a fun Friday after work and had a blast! Would come back for the workout! read more

This place has live bands once in a while, but I'm not sure why. I go to 50-60 live music shows around the country every year so I'm all for live music and thought I would check this place out. Well...I was very disappointed, not by the band but by the overall atmosphere and staging related to live music. First of all combining live music with a stage as a backdrop to a sports court, where 50 teenagers and college students were playing different games like corn hole, is soooo distracting if you came for music. In addition, the back of the stage is a huge TV screen about 50' tall and 60' wide. While the band was playing, a college baseball game was on the TV behind them. It was impossible to focus on the music with the TV broadcast going on and 50 people playing games and talking and yelling in the large area in front of the stage. An absurd musical venue. Totally absurd. Also, they had a high-end sound system and sound guy. The mix on the two guitars and drums was fine, but I couldn't distinguish notes on the bass guitar all night. I'm guessing they weren't running a direct line out of the bass amp and/or were not using a mic on it. I would make two strong suggestions for changes if the business plans to continue having music: 1. Cut the sports broadcasts behind the band on the big screen. 2. Secure a camera on one of the poles that were on each side of the sports court about 25' from the stage and run a live video of the band on the big screen behind them while they are performing. 3. Get someone who knows how to mix/run/mic a bass guitar. Music sucks without the bottom end. On a positive note, the wait staff were friendly and enthusiastic. read more

This place could be really great but unfortunately either new growing pains or poor management. Took forever to get food and drinks. No wait service and the lines were long. Even worse you couldn't play the adult games because there were what seemed like 100 kids allowed to play soccer, football, etc in the middle of the game area. Hopefully they will get more control and it would be a great place for adults to hang out. read more

It took 54 minutes for our food to come out. When we went to check on the order at about 45 minutes, they said they "were working on it". My burger bun was dried out after sitting under the heat lamp, but at least the fruit bowl side was nice and warm. /s. The southwest bowl came with 3 whole tortilla chips. Undercooked my chicken then after that when my wife tried to get someone to remake it they kept getting my order wrong. The bar was slow getting orders out as well. WAY TOO expensive for really awful quality food and service, the staff seemed very disorganized all around. The rooms are echoey and too loud. There were kids running around everywhere unchecked while their guardians drink, and the whole place was pretty dirty for not even being open a full year, pretty disappointed, I just wouldn't recommend and I won"t be back. read more

Went for Trivia night. They only had two bartenders, it took forever to get a drink. There was a private event at the other bar so stuck with waiting at the one bar available with only two people working. The bar on the top floor was not opened, but should have been, as there were people sitting up there and they definitely needed to have someone working it. Music was playing too loud to understand what the trivia person was saying, don't know why they didn't turn it off when he talked. Food we ordered wasn't great. Likely will not go to another trivia night event. read more
