#AllergenInfo - Soy: Their hamburger and bratwurst buns have soy in them, but their fry oil is soy…read morefree. I had their Kobe Bleu Burger without a bun. A side of fries was included with the $10 price, but the owner didn't realize the the buns had soy in them until after I ordered, so he gave me a slight price brake. I came at about 2pm, so there was a bit of a delay because it was past the primary lunch hours. The burger came with a little pink inside, a nice char on the outside, and the blue cheese gave it a really nice tang. I wrapped it in the supplied lettuce and ate it that way. Next time I'll bring my own bun. The fries are thick cut, well salted, and hot when they arrived. Despite it being a cool day, they maintained their heat in the time it took me to eat the burger. I think that they would hold up well to being offered as a separate Bleu Cheese Fries side, or with a blue cheese dipping sauce as an option. I suggested this to the owner, and he liked the idea, so hopefully we'll be seeing that on the menu soon. (yum) This was at Point Park & Eats food truck park, so I got my drink from the bar. They have Dublin Bottling Works sodas here, but they were out of the Cherry Lime flavor. I ordered a Lemonade flavor instead at first, but noticed that it includes brominated vegetable oil, (frequently made from soy,) so I switched to the Triple XXX Root Beer. I wasn't disappointed because Triple XXX is one of the better Root Beers around. :-) Quite a flavorful lunch, and worth the trip north.

Overall, when I've visited the food and service has always been fantastic. Just yesterday when I visited for Monday Night Football, they had bratwursts and fish tacos. They also had a small kid menu (hot dog or chicken fingers w/ fries) which is a bonus if you have children. The bratwurst has become a favorite of my parents and they constantly order it when they can. I tried the fish tacos yesterday and it was a mouthful of heaven without a doubt. The same guy is always working the truck when we go and he's so friendly. He even brought us our food every single time we ordered off of him. I can't really complain at all. I would recommend Skinny Cat in a heartbeat! Check out their website to see where they are everyday, they're around Boerne too!

For my first order I went with the meatball sandwich because the pictures from previous reviewers looked pretty amazing. Although the wait was a little long, I have to say, it was well worth it! This is not your typical food truck. This is top-tier! The dough, sauce, cheese, and crumbled ground meatball were all amazing, it tasted and smelled like it came out of a wood fired brick oven from Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village. Texas is not typically known for its pizza, but that's only because people haven't tried Pizza Volterra. Due to the longer than normal wait time for the sandwich, the staff gave me a free beverage. I will definitely be back to try some more menu items!

I couldn't even do the old New York style fold, and if it was just a little thicker it would be the best pizza I ever ate!

Pizza worth the drive up I-10 to Boerne, TX!…read more Imperfect Pies Pizza has the perfect selection of pies for you to discover on your next foodie adventure up north. This pizza is cooked to absolute perfection, but the shape might be a tad imperfect, hence the name. No matter what, you're getting the most delicious crust, remarkably fresh ingredients, and pies made with love You can find this mobile pizzeria at their permanent home at Free Roam Brewing Company in Boerne, where you can sip on some tasty local brews in their huge outdoor Beer Garden or enjoy their indoor space. No matter what you order, it's gonna be the best pie you've had in a long time...maybe ever!

The crust is packed with flavor and perfectly cooked; a thin skin of crispy surrounding a warm, rich chew with just the right amount of char here and there. This is exactly how crust should be done. Upon this perfect base of goodness, the owner (an experienced fine-dining chef) lays a well-balanced and flavorful sauce, quality cheeses and exceptional toppings. We tried two pies on our first time: the sausage and red onion pie and the garlic herb mushroom, and both were out of this world. The house-made sausage is meaty without being greasy, and has that classic old-world Italian taste that is fennel-forward and simply delicious. The richness of the sauce and sausage is balanced perfectly with thinly sliced red onion that just about melts in your mouth. Simplicity at its finest. The owner shared how he prepares his mushrooms for the garlic herb mushroom pie, and I won't share his secrets here. I will say they are magnificent little flavor bombs and are a must-try for sure. These are top notch ingredients all the way around, and prepared with skill and attention to detail. Anyone can slop a bunch of stuff on top of a pie and call it gourmet or cutting edge. That's not skill. What Imperfect Pies does is master the art of balance, ingredients, technique, and execution. Perfection in simplicity. That is skill. How he can put so much work, love and goodness into a pizza at such reasonable prices is astonishing. Another reviewer mentioned this is not only the best pizza in Boerne, it is likely the best in the San Antonio metro area. I agree
