It all started with leaking faucets in both my bathroom sink and bathtub. I called Upstate…read moreSolutions, and had them replace the sink faucet and they did an excellent faucet installation. Upstate Solution couldn't do the bathtub faucet, because they don't do tile work. My house is an older house with a cast iron tub. I only used the tub for showers, and was looking at having to have the wall opened, then calling a plumber to fix the leak, some one back in to replace the tile work. After that I was then going to find someone to come in, and resurface or attempt to make the bathtub look better. My decision was to just find one company that could do everything at once. Some of the services provided by some of the companies are misleading, until you talk to them. Things they say they can do, they don't. I looked on Google for places with at least 5 star ratings and good reviews. I called several places, that gave me the impression that they weren't interested. One man still had his company listed, but told me that he no longer did that kind of work, another man was going to have knee surgery, and suggested that I wait until after his recovery. Another man suggested that I give his friend a call(he wasn't listed or licensed) that was not even happening. I decided to call Palmetto Bath to discuss getting my bathtub removed and a walk in shower installed. I called and scheduled a free consultation and the rest is history. Will and Jason did an awesome job installing my shower, answering questions and explaining what they were doing. These two work well together, and it was a pleasure meeting them. Thank you Surface Genie and others for leading me to Palmetto Bath.

My elderly parents had a walk-in tub installed a year ago. Recently we discovered that there had…read morebeen an ongoing leak which saturated the floor under the tub, under the bathroom floor, and wood subfloor and joists under the house. The plumber cut off the water supply to the tub and the leak stopped. The RestoPros technician who demolished the bathroom floor said he also believed the leak came from the tub. I contacted Leslie Hoffman, explained the situation to her and forwarded her photos of the water damage. She had Jeff Aiken, the Operations Manager, call me (that was on Thursday). I explained the situation to him and he had also seen the photos. His first comment to me was that we couldn't prove it was their fault. His second comment was that he didn't even know what he was looking at on the photos. His third comment was that he could probably come inspect it the following Tuesday, or maybe Monday, but that it "would probably be dry by then." He also said any work we did before he could examine it would "nullify the warranty." At that time I had moved the parents (97 and 85) out of the house and into an extended stay because of the demolition and fans/dehumidifiers that were running. I left voice mails and sent texts to him on Sunday evening, Monday morning and Monday afternoon. I explained that I did not live at the house and would need to drive over to meet him. I got absolutely no response. On Tuesday afternoon, having not heard from him, I went to the house to check the mail, check on the house, etc. By 3:30 I was already home and contacted Leslie. She called Mr. Aiken and reported to me that he could be there between 4:30 and 5:00. I explained that I could have arranged my daily visit to coincide with his schedule, but he never communicated with me, and I was not willing to go back over there that day. She then said that he would be there between 2:30 and 3:00 the following day (Wednesday, 6 days after I reported the problem). I arranged to have my brother-in-law there with me because of the dismissive attitude that Mr. Aiken had displayed toward me. When Mr. Aiken arrived, I introduced myself and my brother-in-law, and he replied, "Oh, you're the daughter." Not Katie, not Mrs. Bassett, just "the daughter." Wednesday afternoon, the RestoPros technicians had already begun work in the bathroom and under the house. When Mr. Aiken showed up with his assistant, they wanted to reconnect the water line to the bathtub to check it out. When his assistant did that, water spewed everywhere, including from under the tub. The RestoPros guys were ticked off that a lot of the work they had done under the house had to be re-done. Mr. Aiken then tried to explain to me and my brother-in-law that it wasn't their fault, that pinhole leaks in the copper lines was building up pressure which then forced the water up into the tub. His assistant showed me a video supposedly taken under the house of water burbling up from the ground (???). I asked Mr. Aiken to please do me a report outlining his "findings" and also provide me with copies of any photos and videos they had taken so I could provide that to the insurance adjuster. After waiting a week, I again texted Leslie Hoffman (since Mr. Aiken had never responded to any of my communications), who replied that Mr. Aiken would send me the requested information. No, nada, zip. I gave this company 2 stars because my parents were very happy with the installation of their tub, while I was totally unhappy about the way my complaint was handled. Mr. Aiken's dismissive attitude toward me, refusal to communicate with me, and treating me like a nuisance instead of a customer with a service problem, has shown what Palmetto Bath's "customer service" is like. I am NOT in New York. I don't know where YELP got that. I live in Lexington, SC.

It is now May 13, 2026 (3 months later) and the door installation is STILL NOT COMPLETE! The door was not installed correctly on February 16th. Pictures were taken by the initial installer and were supposed to be shared with higher ups in the company. We found out later that the pictures and information about the door were missing from our account file. We were told by the installer that it was most likely a problem with manufacturing of the door. My husband has had to repeatedly call to inquire about the completion and correction of the install! Workers were sent out to our house MULTIPLE times without knowledge of what task they were supposed to be completing! No one in the company seems to communicate with each other or with the other departments within the company. We have been given the run around for 3 months. On May 1, 2026, we finally had another set of workers come to "reset" the door. We thought we were FINALLY going to have the install complete. This installer informed us that the he didn't have the correct color caulk for our door and it would have to be ordered! Thirteen days later, we hadn't heard from the company or service department of when it would be installed. My husband called and was told the correct caulk was NEVER ordered! So again we are waiting for the caulk to be ordered and installed. I called and asked for an estimate of when the caulk would be delivered and a date for it to be completed. My call was dropped twice and I was never connected to the service worker in which I had asked to be connected! I feel we need to be compensated for our time and distress over this botched door installation! I would NOT RECOMMEND WEST SHORE HOME to anyone!
