Just came back from a 2 nights stay which I got it from KGB deal for £119 include dinner. I was very happy the moment I stepped into the room as it looks nice, cosy and comfortable. When I open the curtain, I noticed that the room was extremely dusty but I didn't really moan about it at first as I thought it was cheap so you get what you paid for. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, check in was quick. We couldn't find any space in the parking lot so we parked on Coppice Drive as directed by the receptionist, we did not need to pay for the parking and the street seems to be quite safe. As I've been sneezing all day being in the hotel because it was too dusty, therefore I decided to go out for a walk, I came back to the hotel at 7ish for a shower before we went down for dinner in the Signature for our 3 course meal. We were greeted and was seated by a waitress who's quite friendly in the beginning. A different lady who I believed was the manager in the restaurant came to take our order, she was very friendly. We had starter and main, the meal was lovely. I didn't have any dessert as I don't fancy any of those choices which were on the 3 course menu. After my bf finished his dessert, no one came to us as it was around 10-10.30pm so I assumed they are all busy cleaning up the restaurant, the waitress who greeted us was cleaning the floor, so we left the restaurant as we had told the manager who took our order that we booked the room with dinner inclusive for the first night on KGB deal. When we left the restaurant, we said thank you to the waitress who seated us, she did say thank you but she was looking at the floor as she was cleaning the floor(wasn't very nice to do that) but I thought it was fine. After 2 minutes, she chased out of the restaurant and said excuse me, you have to pay for your dinner so we turned around and she said angrily you don't walk out of a restaurant without paying your bill TBH I was quite offended for being accused of not paying the bill. We explained to her that we got it on KGB deal and she said sorry and turned away. We went back to the hotel after that. The moment I jumped into bed, I started to feel itchy all over my legs, so I went for a shower again but it didn't help. I tried to ignored and controlled myself from scratching as I don't want to get scars. It was midnight and after watching a movie, I tried to sleep, my bf was already asleep. I couldn't sleep all night as my legs were so itchy, the next day when I woke up, I saw lots of rashes on my legs which gave me Goosebumps, I didn't dare to wear dress/shorts as it was very ugly and disgusting, therefore I wore a trousers to cover my rashes. I went down to the reception and asked if we could change our room as the room was too dusty and our bed wasn't comfy because instead of a double bed, it was 2 single beds combined together so when I sleep in the middle, it hurts my back. The receptionist was very friendly and changed our room. The room we got for the second night was a proper double bed instead of 2 single beds and the room was less dusty, it was still dusty but not as dusty as the room we got on the first night. I got an E45 lotion from the pharmacy and applied on my rashes, I couldn't sleep all night on the second night either because it was so itchy and the rashes spread to my thigh and arms. I was extremely disappointed and wished that I didn't buy the deal at all. Instead of a relaxing bank holiday weekends, it turned out to be a nightmare. When we checked out, the guy who checked us in asked if anything alright with the hotel. I didn't want to look like a problematic customer so I said it was fine, and he said you didn't look quite happy about it, so I told him that the room was very dusty and gave me rashes, he apologised and note down on a paper that room 3106 was dusty then my bf said room 2202 was worse so he wrote that on the paper as well. He did apologise a few times and said I hope this will not stop you from staying in our hotel and if you are willing to come back the next time, we are happy to offer you complimentary and will make sure that your room is clean. It was very nice for him to say that but unfortunately I wouldn't dare to come back to the Kimberley Hotel. I looked forward for this weekend's getaway and it turned out to be a nightmare and I do not know how long it will take for my rashes to recover and whether it will leave me scars. I am working today and I am extremely sleepy as I haven't slept well for 3 nights because of the itchiness, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated about it. Breakfast was good though, although we have to ask for tea/coffee on the second day as we were sitting at the corner and it was very busy. I saw the waitress who accused us for not paying the bill, I didn't recognise her at first but notice that she was staring at me when she was serving tea to another table walking towards my direction so i smiled to her and she looked away without smiling read more
