The Kids Academy is clean and full of caring people. My son has learned so much in their pre- school program. This is a wonderful center!

"Red flags" galore I…read morecan't comment on how the children are taken care of but I can comment on how unprofessional the staff is. My husband and I viewed this daycare two months before our daughter was born. It was our second choice but we met with management and staff and felt at ease. We were confident this would be a good place for our daughter when I returned to work when she was 3 months old. We paid our check and put in the enrollment paperwork and were told we had a spot. 3 weeks before I was set to start work I called to schedule a time to come by with her to get her acclimated. The assistant director told me they had no record of her and no spots available for when she was supposed to start. How does this happen? Apparently after we paid they changed the director and assistant director and lost a bunch of records about who they had promised spots to. This isn't even the part that bothers me. NO ONE ever apologized for the mistake. They told me they'd call me back by the end of that week with a solution (hiring more teachers, etc). Do you think I ever heard back from them? Nope. They even confirmed they had our check and paperwork. The assistant director told me, "I don't know who would have told you you had a spot so far in advance. This isn't the way the world works." Thankfully I got my "red flag" about this place early and my daughter will be starting daycare at a place that is more organized and professional. Today I called to tell them I was coming by to pick up my check. Again no apology about how unprofessional this was, no apology for not calling back ever. They had my check with contact information on it for 5 months without thinking to call and ask why I had paid the exact amount of a deposit. If this place treats the children even half as bad as they treated us, it should be shut down.

This is by far the worst daycare you can send your child to. The energy isn't good. You're not…read moreallowed to walk in and see what your child is doing . They're very secretive . Everyday they call with a new reason to pick your child up . Lying and saying they have diarrhea is so common. If your child cries too much they will call to send the child home every single day. The director is very rude and unprofessional. She's hardly ever there because normally she's out of the country on vacation . I thank God I switched my baby's school to Brighter Leaves my child has been happy ever since and I never get complaints or calls home . I get pictures to ensure me that my child is enjoying the day at school .

I worked for this school and loved the children and Families…read more The other teachers worked so hard, but like me we were all tense when Melissa (The Owner) came into the building. She had her favorite kids she liked. She would give them hugs, talk so sweet to them, kids that weren't her favorite or were" problems" Melissa would ignore them, yell at them, belittle them. For someone who was supposed to love children, she certainly did not show it. Melissa was good at putting on a show for parents. If she liked the parent's she was all over them, if she didn't like the parent's, she would talk trash about them. The expectations she had put on the teachers was insane. Low pay, no resources to work with, very condescending, she likes to put a teacher on the spot and yell at them, not pull them aside, bring them in the office to talk to them. So many times, I witnessed embarrassed teachers' or helpers just start to cry because of the way they were spoken to. Melissa is very unprofessional. I decided it was time for me to leave. I could no longer work there. I gave her a two-week notice, after a few days I had to leave because of the way she treated me. Please don't work here. Please don't bring your children here. There are much better places out there. Places that will treat your children with compassion, care, respect as well as you the parent. East Longmeadow , MA

I have been going to this laundromat for a few years during the previous and now current owners and…read morehave always had a good experience until the morning of 02/16/2024. Every time I go I use the same washers and the same dryers. on a previous trip I noticed one of the dryers wasn't getting hot and it shut off. I took as a one off incident and on 2/16/2024 I used the same dryers. The same dryer that shut off the last time shut off again and when touching the glass it was not as hot as the other dryers around it. I alerted the male attendant who I believe to be the owner that something is wrong with the dryer, it's shutting off and it's not getting hot as my clothes were still damp. Instead of taking accountability after I told him my personal experience, he proceeds to tell me that he's been around these machines for 400+ days and that the dryer shuts off when things stick to the sides to prevent overheating and fires. I told him I don't over stuff the dryer and he said it has nothing to do with over stuffing the dryer. He then tells me I can't go by the heat on the glass because it's thick tempered glass and you have to go by the feel of the inside of the dryer. He restarts the dryer for an additional 15 minutes and walks off. At the 4 minute mark the dryer shuts off again and I open it and per what he said I tested the inside of the dryer, I find that my clothes are cold and the inside of the dryer is also cold. I then opened another one of the dryers that I used that day and that had been off for at least 10 minutes and those were still warm inside. If a dryer is working properly clothes should come out warm NOT cold and the inside would be warm NOT cold and that wasn't the experience. So I went back to the male attendant to once again notify him that the dryer isn't working properly. His reply was "well dryers cool down before they stop and are my clothes dry and if not find another dryer". Yes in fact dryers do cool down before they stop but not with 4 minutes left on the timer and it's not a freezer it doesn't cool down to cold. Also asking me if my clothes are dry doesn't negate the fact that the dryer still isn't working properly. BTW my close were not fully dry. It's unfortunate that my personal experience and observation was dismissed along with the attitude and lack of accountability I received. Im not a liar and as a business owner if a customer is letting you know that your equipment is faulty why would you dismiss it and not look into it especially since you lowered the drying time from 8 minutes to 5 minutes per 25 cents and when the dryer shuts off randomly the timer doesn't stop it keeps counting. More money to you but a loss to the customer when a machine doesn't work properly. If you patron this establishment watch your machines!
