The owner Rita. Is answering the phones, scheduling, dealing with customer service issues and at the same time trying to tutor your kids??? I completely understand the struggles of a new business, however when you do not acknowledge your mistakes and you treat anyone as if they are inadequate. It's not a good look for the business! Rita shows a beautiful smile in the beginning however, I didn't find her to be very patient or polite under pressure. She's overbooked, and is holding to many hats. It seems to me like she disregards those she seems are invalid. I have observed her behavior towards, others, to myself and kids . It isn't professional at all. It's unfortunate because I really enjoy the curriculum. It's sad that we have allowed this beautiful store front business owner, to teach our kids. I would rather give my business to a private tutor, another Mathnasium or someone that genuinely loves kids. Please watch your kids, ask them how it's going! Pop in! Don't just drop them off and feel like the magic is going to happen. Customer service and how you treat others is essential in our kids development.

The best part about this town is that their school system is superb! Other than that, there isn't much going on here for 20 or 30 something's other than Chicago Sam'a formerly known as Rookies. They truly feel like part of the family, helping to raise our daughter in a loving environment; and they operate a reliable business. For example, Kids Village always prepares for coverage during their personal time off; whereas a typical home daycare provider will take vacation time off, and you will need to adjust accordingly. On the flip side, they offer off hours child care with someone that your child is already familiar with. This is extremely important to us, as we don't have any family nearby for nights/weekend babysitting. The size is just right too; not too big where our daughter's only exposed to her own age range, and not too small where she doesn't have plenty of role models (and opportunity to be a role model). We have been so pleased with the clean, loving, fun, nurturing, educational environment that they've created. They truly are helping us raise our daughter, the way we could've only wished for.

It takes a special person to do what these ladies do and they do it very well. My son loves them, as do I, we feel like we are part of a family. As a first time mom, it was tough trusting the care for my son to another, but at our first meeting it felt warm and inviting like I've known them forever and had no doubts that this was the place for us. My son just turned 19 months old and I've been amazed at how fast he's learning. They are great teachers, role models and all around great people. This is a review of the Latimer Lane Elementary School Expansion…read more "Up in the mornin' and out to school The teacher is teachin' the Golden Rule" (Chuck Berry) Other than going into the Latimer Lane school on an election day, it's been quite a while (decades in fact) since I spent a long time here. But we visited today for a special open house to check out the school's $39 million dollar expansion that took five years of planning and two years of construction. The tour included ten stations (library/media center, gymnasium, cafeteria, music room, art room, renovated classrooms, etc.). Each station had one or two tour guides that were Latimer Lane Elementary School students, and the kids did a fantastic job telling us about the new school and classroom features at their station. There was a lot of hi tech on display -a video production studio, 3D printers, interactive electronic games on the floor, and other cool stuff. I was very impressed by the art room and music room which were overflowing with things for the children to use and experiment with. I was also impressed at the two new playgrounds, climbing wall in the gym, and the many outdoor classroom spaces to take learning outside on good weather days. I love how these young students will be introduced to video production, coding, and 3D printing this early in their lives.
