They are always coming up with new ideas and ways to engage the community. They're the most friendly and helpful management team I've ever seen after 14 years of apartment living. 2. Great amenities and new building - the amenities (6th floor rooftop deck and gym, as well as various seating areas and lounges) are top notch and well maintained. 3. Good value - considering the location, age of the building and amenities available, I thought it was a good value compared to the other luxury apartment complexes in Boston. Cons: 1. Poor flooring - for whatever reason, the flooring in the units is very thin. I've never had noise issues before until I live in this building. If you have an upstairs neighbor who is a stomper like I do, then you're pretty much screwed as you'll hear considerable noise and vibration whenever they walk around their apartment. 2. Traffic noise is sometime excessive - unfortunately, the building's location (right beside a major intersection) means that sirens and auto noise (i.e. honks and truck exhausts) are frequent throughout the day and loud enough to penetrate the windows. Thankfully, traffic dies down in the morning and evening, so it isn't such a big deal I'd say if you can get a top floor, inner unit (i.e. not facing Leo M Birmingham Parkway), then this apartment complex is most likely one of the best places to live in Boston!

We had to use a plunger about 75% of the time to unclog it. Very frustrating. The inside closets when the closet doors are closed are about 5 to 10 degrees colder than the bedrooms. Ice on the inside of the windows in the winter. Frig and freezer is a side by side unit and this limits the amount of stuff you can store in it. There were numerous occasions when there was no hot chocolate at the dispensing machine in the community room. There is a lack of parking. Several tenants parked in the No Parking - Fire Zone area. One garbage can for the complex in front that fills up and overflows many weekends. Many times the snow removing company will remove snow during the middle of the night and run the plow which beeps very loudly when they put it in reverse, waking everybody up. Lawn mowing was infrequent. Many times the sprinklers would spray the driveways, sidewalks and road versus the grass. The management did not service the fountains at this complex for a long time so the water would just sit there and look rancid. They charge a rekey fee of $75 when moving out. I could understand this charge if they used actual keys but they use fobs and all they have to do is change it on the computer. All through the night, cars, trucks and loud Harley motorcycles race down (definitely over the speed limit) interstate 95, waking you up.

Super friendly and helpful - they were very accommodating with furniture delivery and getting setup on move day. The apartment was in very good condition. No sound problems from other apartments. No sound problems from other apartments which is one of the biggest issues with apartment communities around Boston area. Maintenance is responsive. Parking was an issue earlier but it was sorted out and i have not seen any problems with parking at all now, all cars have parking stickers. It is a non smoking community. Before getting this apartment I was worried about noise because of fire-station outside and a crushed stone quarry, congestion due to a school near by but trust me, it's very quiet apartment complex and there is not much traffic getting out of apartment complex heading towards the highway. When you look out of the apartment window you see big trees which gives it a country feel especially in summers. It has nice green walking area between the two buildings. They have provision for recycling so that's another plus. Staff is friendly and helpful. Neighbors are nice, some have service dogs which are quiet but some have pets who are noisy at times but again nothing out of ordinary. This location is close to I-95 so is helpful for my commute. Legacy place is always happening where we go for evening walks and is around 10 minutes drive away. Plenty of other stores near by with bus stop right outside the community. All in all Management is doing a great job. I will definitely recommend.

From the outside, The Towers looks relatively impressive: modern lobby, concierge, indoor pool. And…read morethe location is certainly convenient. Unfortunately, step inside an apartment and it's quickly apparent that these buildings have seen their better days. The kitchens are what you might expect in a student apartment in Allston; the cheapest grade of Home Depot cabinetry, dated appliances, water damage on the unit I saw with huge stains. The units have cheap popcorn ceilings and tacky white wall-to-wall carpeting, the kind you might find in your grandmother's Florida retirement village--in fact, that is an apt description for the entire place. I was ready to overlook all of these deficits just for the pool and the location but I discovered the real downside--a building manager who played a shell game, shifting back the promised availability of a unit first by two weeks, then three, then five, before it finally became apparent she did not know when it would be ready. In the meantime (three weeks), she kept stringing me along. When I finally pressed for something in writing, she insisted on a check for $1,900 immediately, refusing to offer a lease, contract, or any document. When I tried to post-date the check a week to give time to put something in writing, she gave the unit to another sucker. This person has apparently run the building nearly since its inception and she is as dated in her management style as the property. Then I read some comments online about the amount of time it took for maintenance requests (over a month) and it became apparent that she had done me a favor...and now I am trying to do the same for you.

Dear future residents,…read more TL; DR: Please hear me out! Really! TRY YOUR BEST to avoid this place if you do not want RANDOM LARGE rental increases upon renewal, and if you want to settle down for a bit longer. They randomly treat always good residents like us like shit with whatever reasons. I never saw such things in my whole life. My DM is always open if you want to hear the story! One thing that is good still: the maintenance team does good job. But the property management team is trash. Please avoid! Updates: We are sending complaints to the Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity (FHEO) and all other places. We know these will take long, but we should put this property's name on that "bad" list, right? Thanks for all your supporting. Summary: My family has been lived this property for almost 2 years. The first year renewal was 10% and we accepted; now they are asking for another more than 23% increase on top of that. The manager refused any negotiation and their attitude was, (quoted) "your offer is lower than market price ("they defined") and we won't offer you even $1 off." They admitted that they increased some tenants by 28%, 30%, or up to 60-70%. I heard and confirmed these shocking numbers. So, this is a property that cares nothing (shit) about its tenants. Since the recent management team change, the staff on the front desk are becoming significantly less helpful and not welcoming. Some final words: During this period of time, we got our first kid and had a lot of memories. They were good memories. Right now we realized we are treated as shit upon renewals. Meanwhile we tolerated numerous FALSE fire alarms early 4-5am in the morning. I do not want to complaint more about this property and this management team. The location is good! But, listen, there are many properties around this area, try to avoid this place at all costs if you do not want to be kicked out after 1 year.
