NO! Just NO…read more.. Maniya appears to lack the professionalism and respect that comes with providing a service to others. I spoke with her two days ago explaining my situation and we concluded that a "VIP/expedited service" would best accommodate my needs and timeline which came with a $100 markup on the service of choice. Ok fine. However, there was absolutely nothing about my interactions with her leading up to the appointment that reflected a "VIP" experience would follow. Per our phone call and text messages, Maniya was well aware of my constraints and provided me the option to confirm with her the next day while I worked through outstanding details. I genuinely appreciated that and let her know as much. Per her instructions, I reached out at the time we agreed upon to confirm that I would take advantage of the opening that we discussed. I never heard back. My tentative appointment was for the next day at 9:30 am. Five hours later around 8:30 pm I text her again asking if this would be confirmed. Again, she was well aware of the constraints that I had. I stated that at a minimum I'd like to pick up the product(s) we discussed via phone if something had come up. She responded stating that she was "no longer available" even after offering availability to me and telling me that she would wait for my confirmation the day before. OK.... Definitely disappointing but at a minimum I figured I could still pick up the products that I needed right now, go to a different stylist for my immediate needs, and wait for her books to reopen for services in September. Although I was definitely scrambling at this point, I was STILL willing to purchase product from her in spite of not honoring her word. Today I followed up with her about picking up the items before she left town and she stated that she didn't offer a pick up option but failed to mention that the night before when she confirmed that I could order/pay for products. She previously told me the products were available in house so I did t understand where the issue lied. At a minimum, I felt that if she blew off my appointment after offering the time, the least she could do is meet me halfway by allowing me to pick up the product(s) we discussed during our initial call. I called her to discuss this as I know things could be misconstrued via text. She was SO NASTY over the phone! I calmly kept explaining to her that I wanted us to clarify things because there was an obvious miscommunication happening (on her blend). She talked over me repeatedly, would NOT listen to anything that I had to say, and had a very "holier than thou" attitude when speaking to me, and hung up in my face in the midst of me trying to find a resolution with her. I really wasn't sure if the call dropped or what. I called back and asked what happened. She stated that she hung up on me. At one point, she asked "how did I think that I had a pending appointment?" I tried to tell her BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WE AGREED TO! She knew my special circumstances and mentioned nothing about a deposit or anything of that nature. I am a new client. I have no idea what her expectations may be and it is HER JOB as the consultant to walk me through her process if we are on a call together instead of trying to repeatedly mention an extra $100 fee to show up for an appointment DURING operating hours or as a walk in DURING operating hours! Why would I pay a "VIP fee" for a service during normal business hours? She continued to talk over me not letting me get a word in then called me a "stranger" when I was actually a prospective client as if that's any excuse for how she treated me. Am I supposed to believe that she would automatically show respect if I were sitting in her chair as an active client? If so, that alone is a testament to how phony she is as a person. She also stated that she only finds time for VIP appointments only if she "feels like getting up before 9:30 am" and that she has "multiple businesses" Umm WHAT?! lol I could easily "stick my chest out" too and surely blow her out of the water but why bother? It is of no significance here. I just wanted my hair done based on what we discussed! It just confirmed that she is an unprofessional ego-centric inexperienced girl who is obviously used to being disrespectful and dismissive to her clientele with no pushback. There is NO way I would allow myself to be serviced by someone like this who only cares about the bottom line at the expense of quality customer service. I found her on social media and was initially impressed with her work but the NASTY EGO and attitude she displayed trumps any perceived talent I may have thought she had. Per her page, she moved to Atlanta 2 years ago. Obviously she doesn't know that whatever she was pulling wherever she came from doesn't fly here in Atlanta. Humility is KEY.

I'm a single mom who has suffered from hair loss starting from the age of 13 and I have invested…read moremoney in PRP injections and maintaining the integrity of my hair but even with that there was some thinning at the crown. For my birthday I wanted to get my hair done (I saved for this) and feel great below the pictures of the style that I have requested and she said it was doable. Discussed her experience and that I was a good candidate for mesh integration. I proceeded with the install which she did not show me, but I thought in my head she wanted to do a reveal so I went with it. It was my birthday and was excited about having a hair style without the exposed thinning crown. midway through she showed me and I saw the exposed hairline on the scalp. She said not to worry because the hair would cover it and she turned me back around and continue with the install as she was cutting the hair I mentioned there's a lot of hair being cut off and nothing. When she finished installing the hair and cutting it and showed me what it look like. my words exactly where that looks funny and she got offended and her energy had shifted at that point I said well I wait till it's fully styled but made a reference to looking like Stuart from Saturday Night Live and she got offended started cutting even more hair and put product in my hair and when she did that, it still looked short (and nothing like the cut I requested) , but I had to leave urgently - I was there from 9 AM to just after 4 PM. Right before I left she had offered to add additional.Wefts so that i could have longer pieces if I was interested which the next day I took her up on the offer. I went back she installed longer wefts. I was happier with longer wefts and left not 100% satisfied, but it looked better than the first appointment. She added the longer wefts on Saturday and come Sunday. I went to bed woke up in the middle of the night in pain. My scalp was tender, and I couldn't sleep. I tried to bear with it thinking maybe I just have to get used to it, but throughout the day, I couldn't focus because my scalp was irritated and tender. Upon lifting the hair I could see the redness and irritation all along where the beads were at, so I sent her a message to advise and of course receive pushback ultimately two days after and I paid over $1000 to have a hair installed for my birthday, I had to have the wefts and beads removed and visited a dermatologist that advised me that was traction alopecia. The natural hair I do have left the cut is uneven. There's a lot of breakage and it will take me years to regrow my hair to a decent length and the hundreds of dollars I spent on PRP injections and caring for my scalp has now gone out the window and I'm embarrassed to be out. I can't have a wig installed as now I have to seek medical treatment (now several hundred more dollars) to rebuild what was destroyed in less than a week. I asked for a refund and she offered to provide me with $360 but offered me that at 8 PM and told me that that offer expired at 8 AM the next morning which of course I did not see until after 8 AM and by the time, I saw the message typed up a response and sent it before noon she never responded back because it was after 8 AM which her timeline was outside of business hours. but respectfully, a haircut and style I didn't even get was priced on her website at $775 and after reviewing all the charges, I pay more than that which means she didn't apply my deposit to that so the hair cost me over 1000. To avoid providing a refund and being accountable, she claimed that I agree to the hairstyle that I got, which is not true and when you look at the picture that I provided and what I got, it is vastly different. Just don't understand how someone could charge more than what's published on their website, not give the person the haircut they want destroy their hair that I walked in with and then not even offered to even provide me a wig to wear to support the regrowth. Instead, I get accused of annihilating and destroying my own hair, which is absurd to say to someone who's already invested thousands of dollars in their hair prior to their appointment and several hundred after. I hope this review helps anybody who has alopecia and is seeking a stylist and maybe my experience will save you from the despair and damage that I went through.
