The ATL Airport was crazy - day before thanksgiving when the world is re-emerging from the craziness of the past 22-months. I was worried that if I went back through security I would have a hard time making it to my flight on time. But I gave it a chance. The barbershop was wonderful. From the moment I stepped in, to the genuine kindness the stylist showed me in the chair, everything about the place is super special. Also, they were so fast that I made it back to my gate in time to spare. Why more airports don't have barbershops, I just don't understand?! There is so much benefit to having access to quick service like a haircut or a style when you're at the airport and have hours to kill. The barbershop does it right. This is the place to go. Not necessarily suggesting that you fly to Atlanta just to get your haircut, but that may not be a bad idea.

He confirmed with what I said, but then proceeded to shave down my sideburns and then immediately up the middle of my chin. I told him to stop immediately and ask him what the fuck he just did and he told me he didn't hear me. Complete bullshit, four months of beard growth wasted on this asshole! Not only that, I had to return home, go back to a barber And have them fix everything he did wrong. It's almost as if they scraped him off the streets of Atlanta and threw him behind a barber stand and said cut hair... This motherfucker knows nothing! Stay away. Avoid it all costs.

He asked, multiple times, if I was okay with the amount of hair that he was cutting off. I appreciated that because you can tell that, based on experience, the amount of hair I was cutting off probably led to a lot of regret later on. Not me though, I was happy with my haircut, and he also offered to do bang trims in between appointments. The interior is really cute, it is a mixture of history, modern, and eclectic design. There's also a giant needle plant growing by the window, and Ron said that it has been there for decades. You can't miss it when you're walking by, it's probably what catches people's attention first.

They have no integrity because they let you leave the shop looking like this, as pictures provided. You ask for one thing, and they leave you with A child like version. And as if it's not already bad what Ron had done to my hair, They don't admit to their faults and they ask you, "what did you expect?". Well not this folks. Don't waste your time. They won't even admit with the mistakes they made. Don't go here, spend a little bit extra money and actually go to professionals. If you want your money back, they fight with you. They won't give you their tip back because they believe they deserve it. The shop is a scam and unfortunately, I got the blunt end of that. I went in for a balayage which I showed to Ron, and he told me he could do that after he asked another hairstylist four times what to do. I should've known and seen all the red flags. Ron brags about his 35+ years of experience, but do these pictures look like that to you? All I'm going to say is don't go here. They have no integrity, they let you leave their shop looking a hot mess and then they lie about the results. Then they fight with you about what's the reality. Don't go here.

I wear my hair in an inverted, stacked Bob. I'm picky about it. Especially with shorter hair, if the cut isn't right, my attitude is negatively affected. I'm just saying. Both Alanna and Haley have cut my hair and done a great job. I have a tendency to pretend that I know what I'm doing on occasion, self-trimming my hair and living to regret it. Both stylists have been very patient with helping me get my layers back into shape. They're also willing to talk through my needs, which is important. And all of this within a mile-ish of my house! It's SO NICE not to have to drive to Midtown or North Atlanta or even Hapeville for my bob as I used to do. I'm just not up for a long drive any more. From the initial phone call with the owner Valencia , to the staff was a great experience. Valencia…read more, assured me over the phone that my niece's hair and well being would be taken care of . She listened to my concerns and I didn't feel rushed . I expressed to Valencia , the concerns of the braider being child friendly and that I could bring my own braiding hair . She stated that bringing my own hair was absolutely acceptable. Since the makeup of her clientele is children ages 3-18, she assured me the staff would be understanding of my nieces needs. She was so nice over the phone and answered all of my questions. It was very simple to book the appointment with a 25.00 deposit to hold her spot . As the appointment time was near I received reminder text messages until the last 30 minutes to the appointment time. If you set an appointment with Kiddos and forget the date and time , it's definitely your fault . The text messages may have been automated possibly, but regardless it will be your fault for sure . There is an open parking lot and it's relatively small but It wasn't difficult to find parking . The shop is located on a one way street. Therefore beware that same way you came will not be the same direction you will leave . Just for your information ( during this time period) the road adjacent to the shop is under construction as well . I can imagine that causing frustration on a busy time of day . Thankfully , appointment wasn't on a very busy day . When I arrived , there were only two clients which were children of course . I don't think I've ever been to a salon where it's child based. The braiders acknowledge our presence when we walked in and advised me to sign in at the front desk upon arrival. The manager informed me that the assigned braider was on her way . Once she arrived she walked right over to us with a smile . She introduced jerked as Alexis and she took my niece to the back for a shampoo . Typically she's afraid to get her hair shampooed but she was calm and excited to get her hair done. Ms. Alexis , was very nice to her and talked to her the way anyone that's experienced with children should . She addressed me as Auntie since I told her I was her aunt . Which was perfect , so that my niece wouldn't address me by my first name , later on. As a content creator I took video of the experience ( no other kids were recorded ) In fact my nieces face wasn't exposed as well. I asked Ms. Alexis if she was ok with being on film . She obliged. It was an over all great experience! Ms. Alexis was so nice and friendly as the other braiders . We all laughed together and told a few jokes . It was all appropriate around children . They made me feel like we'd been attending the salon for years . I fact there were children who had been coming for hair services for years . The children were so cute . I love children and I think it's nice to have a salon catered just for them . It should be a barber shop only for children . When Ms. Alexis finished her hair. It was so beautiful. She had a pretty blue bow in her hair which was free with a hairstyle. She was photo ready for sure ! She smiled and loved her hair . As we left the other braiders assured her she was pretty in her new hairstyle. I thought that was so nice of them . All of the ladies there who were braiding hair that day were so talented . They really knew their stuff! What touched me the most is seeing fathers bringing their daughters in for hair services. Some carried their little princess in their arms . As a society , we don't give fathers their flowers enough. There's some great dads out there. Shout out to the dads who bring their girls to kiddos !! It was so nice to see. I will be bringing my niece back !!

Timing and convenience We came super early while waiting for our flight. It was around 5:00 a.m. so we could finish in time for a 7:00 a.m. departure. Having someone that welcoming at that hour is rare. Staff and service Alana was upbeat, joyful, and incredibly kind. She made the whole experience feel relaxing and fun, not transactional. She walked us through how to use the remote, checked in on comfort, and even offered towels to help create tighter leg compression when the chair squeeze felt too loose for us. She also took genuine interest in chatting with us, even asking about our cat, which was such a sweet touch. Massage chair The chair itself felt best suited for someone taller or bigger. The leg compression in particular wasn't as tight as I would have liked. Still, it was decent for a quick airport reset, and the towels trick helped. Shop items They also sell a few items in store. The signature scent is really nice, and the neck pillows looked pretty good too. Value For transparency, the price for us was $0 because we used a card membership benefit. Even so, I'd strongly recommend stopping by if Alana is there. She's the reason the experience stood out. Recommendation Highly recommend Alana. If you want a calm, friendly airport spa experience (especially early morning), she's fantastic.
