I didn't even know this service existed outside of watching hoarders on TLC. I text them on a SUNDAY they responded right away and were available for same day service. I got an estimate over text that was MUCH lower than their competitors. In the end we agreed on a fair price and even got to help throw some of the junk into the truck (super de stressing). The whole thing probably took about 10 minutes. The gentleman was professional, efficient and friendly. Definitely would recommend them. read more

Need to junk an old spa??? Yup, The Junk Doctor does this too!!! I was extremely happy and lucky to have found Nathan, "The Junk Doctor". I had an old, although working, spa I had wanted to get rid of but it was really difficult to find a service company that would be reliable and not shady. I had called several spa removal companies awhile back but found that lots of them would give me the run around on pricing or just plain flakey with their scheduling. One place offered to pick it up for free, then never showed up, twice!!!! So, I had put off the removal for months, until I found The Junk Doctor. It was worth the wait!!! Nathan was very professional and easy to work with. His response time was great, unlike others who would not return phone calls or answer text messages. He was very straight forward with the pricing, and didn't change or up-charge when he arrived on site. Spa removals aren't cheap (ranges from $200-$300) and mine had to be hacked up into pieces in order to get it out of the yard. I found a great coupon deal (via Groupon) that made it super affordable for me to get rid of this monstrous headache. There was a $75 extra charge on top of the coupon price (of which I knew about up front) to hack up the spa because it was more than just picking up junk at this point. But even with the extra fee, he still beat the prices of his competitors. He took great care to make sure the electrical was unplugged and capped off properly and he cleaned up the site and debris when the job was done. Nathan showed up to my house earlier than our appointment time which was good. I rather you be early than late. We had previously discussed him demolishing and hauling my old wooden shed. I sent him the exact dimensions and several pictures so that he could give me an accurate estimate. We agreed upon $300. But upon arrival and inspection, he asked for $360 and said the job was larger than he thought. I was a little confused because I had sent him measurements, along with multiple pictures of inside and outside of the shed before he gave me the $300 estimate. We finally agreed on $350. Nathan supervised 2 of his mexican workers as they demolished my shed in about an hour. The job seemed fairly easy, so I don't like that he increased the price on me. Overall, I'm happy with the service. I just didn't like that he changed the price on me last minute even though I had sent him pictures before he gave me what I thought was an "accurate estimate". Ha a great experience with Nate. We got a piano removed from our condo and he was timely and professional. He brought 2 guys with him to help. Overall took about 20 minutes for the piano to be out of our place. No regrets about using him. Cost us $120. The only thing that bothered me initially was over the phone he's a bit quick and doesn't do a lot of explaining but I found out that he gets calls during other jobs so he's obviously in the middle of moving things. But never failed to pick up the phone so at least you'll get a response quick. I'd use Junk Doctor again. read more

Very pleased with getting our junk out of our garage! We had a random assortment of trash, old teaching supplies (former teacher), a broken heater, patio furniture, an old TV and other odd goodies. Junk Doctor happily accepted them all. How it works? We found him online, called and texted to get info sorted. He let us know he would come by to assess, quote and pickup if possible. He showed up the next evening. took a look and quoted $160 which is much less than other places that start at $200 from what we found. My husband helped him load it all up and it was all gone in less than 20 minutes. To make things simpler, I'd say have all your "junk" in one area so all he has to do is come pick it up! I almost file a complaint with the consumer protection hotline for not providing a written contract.. Just be careful because what he quote you over the text is not the same when he arrives. My experience with this company has been bad. Pricing - I was told that the pricing would be $100 for a pickup truck size load. When Nathan arrived, his price went up to $160. Even after removing the heavy items, the price was higher than what was originally quoted. I would not believe the prices he quotes on the phone. Follow up - He was supposed to return to pick up additional items. He had committed to come by the next day. However, he kept pushing it out and started ignoring my requests. He hauled away about a yard of dirt and charged me about what it would cost to rent the three bins it would have required from Rainbow Disposal. So for the same cost or cheaper I had it hauled away, cleaned up and I didn't have to take the hours it would have taken to wheelbarrow and shovel it into bins. Win-win.
