I was drawn to the woman owner and farm-to-table menu. Lali and team catered my wedding and it was phenomenal! Lobster rolls, filet sliders, shrimp and an assortment of pies for dessert. This was all after we made a huge transition due to Covid-19 and went from a wedding of 80+ to 30. Lali was super flexible and quick to make the menu changes. Thank you Lali!

I've loved their catering since I moved to Crawfordsville, so it was a no-brainer to ask Lali and the Juniper Spoon crew to create our wedding cake. Not only was this cake beautiful, it tasted amazing! Thanks for creating such a lovely part of our wedding

Lali works so hard to source her ingredients locally, and we've never had catered food that tasted so fresh and homemade.

I attended this venue for the first time last Saturday, for a lovely outdoor wedding…read more The grounds were beautiful and the timing was perfect. It was a 4:35 wedding, so it was starting to cool off. They have an arbor under which the bridal party stood, and the attendees face west. But because of the tree line for the woods (with creek below that) that run along the west side of the building, there was beautiful speckled shade, and we were not facing any harsh sun. The grass and perennial planting beds were in very nice condition. The receiving line was held outdoors as well, at the entrance to the building on the circular drive under the large open roof. From there guests could see that the catering company (separate contract) set up the beautiful pool patio for a short reception while the wedding party and families did additional pictures. This was perfect because, inside the bar was already open and outside we had tea, water and hors d'oevres to pass the time and visit with other guests. Again, this outdoor area was lovely. There was a lot of standing room and only a handful of chairs and tables. They might consider adding more for an event like this. The front has double doors to/off the foray. Indoors, the facility is painted a cheerful yellow, and the open-beam construction is so pretty that you don't need to dress it up with a lot of decorations. The place is full of windows in the front near where the catering set up food on one side and the wedding cake on the other. But the real show stoppers are the picture windows on the west side. They set up the bridal party table in front of the windows, and I'm sure the pictures were beautiful. It's definitely got an upscale lodge feel (hence the name) with a stone hearth on the south end of the hall and a loft on the north side, where the DJ sets up. That was fun because as the wedding party was announced again at the reception they got to file down the stairs and dance across the dance floor to their seats. The staff was friendly and one even helped with cake cutting, though that apparently wasn't arranged before the event. The caterers (just okay) refused to cut the cake. The bar had a cute chalkboard display furthering the classy country vibe. One thing to consider for us ladies is to get dropped off at the front if you're in heels. The parking lot and the walk to the facility itself is course gravel. It could tear up nice shoes. Beautiful venue on pristine grounds. I just wish it was closer to Indy but I get that not everything can be!

Very nice self contained wedding/reception venue. The staff was friendly and helpful. Inside and…read moreoutside it is all beautiful. They have the capability to serve sit down meals and to have a full bar. It got a little noisy for me so I took a little walk outside. I don't know who was more startled--me or the big at least ten point buck that was getting a drink if water. If you are planning an event in this area, you MUST check this place out. Two thumbs up! OMG. This place even has a dedicated propane fueled 20 kilowatt back up generator. I'm in LOVE.

Wow what a find!! Thanks YELP!…read more Went here for a business dinner on a Wednesday night. Only a few tables occupied. So the place was not noisy at all. Also no blaring music in the background which I really liked. We were waited on by Sarah. Just an awesome individual. So friendly and attentive. Also cute as a button as the old folks say. :-) She guided us through the menu and also made a few suggestions which we went with. We started with an app - cheese curds served with a sriracha dipping sauce. There is no way I was in Indiana. :-). The cheese curds were legit! They have a solid drink menu. We got the bare knuckles porter and an espresso martini. The martini was fantastic. No actual espresso so no caffeine. Not bad! My main was a BYO Burger. A top 10 burger for me. Smashed style and cooked perfectly with the lacy, crusty edges. I got the following - cheddar, bacon, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, fried egg, jalapeños and fried egg. Absolute money! For a side I got the truffle fries ($5 up charge) but well worth it! So damn good. This place is a gem and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I hope to be back to the area to try it again.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience really missed the mark…read more We went in with a group and were shocked when the bill came. The restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity--but never mentioned it upfront or when handing us the check. Because of that, we unknowingly added an additional tip, which made the total way higher than expected. When we questioned it, the waitress couldn't clearly explain the charges or provide a proper breakdown of the receipt. Instead of helping, she became defensive and came off as rude, which only made the situation worse. I have no issue with automatic gratuity for larger parties, but not being transparent about it feels misleading. A simple heads-up would have avoided all of this. Between the lack of communication and poor service when we asked about it, the whole experience left a bad taste. Double-check your bill if you go here.

I visit this location often and the staff knows that I take these sandwiches to work for a 12-hour shift. That being the case, they generally offer to wrap the foot-long separately as two six-inch subs since they know I will be splitting the sandwich between two meals. Even the new people at this location are very patient with my children when they order their sandwiches when we come here for dinner. Everyone always treats me like their glad I came, or at least like I'm not an inconvenience to them. The store is also always clean and well stocked. It's the little things that set this location apart which is why I continue to return to this store in spite of the fact that there are four other locations in Crawfordsville. I have been to other local Subway stores and at some the employees act like I am interrupting their R&R time and they would like for me to go away. I have been in stores that act annoyed when I take more than a second to decide which sandwich I would like to have. This location is part of the regular rotation of places my family eats and it will remain that way as long as the staff and food quality stays top-notch, as it is right now. It may not be a fancy 5-star restaurant but this location is 5-star as far as Subway locations go.
