I love everything about Greg Nobles and Jordan/Bailey Group! I've had the best haircuts ever since going here, and the time I spend in the salon is thoroughly enjoyable! I hope I never have to go anywhere else!
This salon only seems to do hair, and Greg is GREAT at cutting mine! I've been coming to him since we moved to Arkansas in 2003, and when we got here, I had long (shoulder-length) hair. Within a few months of the heat and humidity, I had him give me a super-short pixie cut, which I wore for six years, with some variations. I decided to grow my hair out longer than ever two years ago, and this has been the most pain-free grow-out experience of my life! At every stage, I've gotten compliments on my cut and style, which is amazing for "transitional" hair. I always liked that it looked like I had that length "on purpose." Greg knows my hair really well, and he cuts it to grow each time I go in (every eight to nine weeks now -- I used to go every four weeks). He also cuts it so it looks its best very naturally without product or heat styling. My stepdaughter goes to him, too, and has since 2008 when she moved here from NYC. She LOVES the service she gets from Greg and gets tons of compliments, too!
The truth is, I would go and pay Greg just to hang out with him. He is HILARIOUS! He's a reality-tv junkie and loves to dish about the celebrities, etc. Today we talked at length about ghost sightings and if his house is haunted. He is a great storyteller and fun conversationalist, and the time in the chair never feels tedious to me, only fun. Every minute.
This family business (his wife and daughter also work here) is hard to find, in a mini-mall on Sunflower behind the Prince Street Sonic, but it is worth it. Make sure to bring cash or a check (they don't take credit cards). And book ahead if you want your service with Greg -- he's very busy and has a full book. read more
