I usually see Dr. Kinkead at this location as I've found he's the chiropractor that works best with me all around. Actually, every chiropractor at any of the Joints I've visited are pretty good. As I visited most of the Joints in the East Valley, and some have quite a few chiropractors, I wanted to find one that meshed with my personality and my needs best. Dr. Kinkead is awesome and I've gotten to know him some. He has a wonderful demeanor and is super personable. I've seen that he is this way with all his patients and I see that I am not the only one that likes to have him adjust them. He periodically asks if I've been keeping up with my PT, which most of the time now that I'm no longer needing to go to PT appointments (this is outside of the Joint), I have not been quite as disciplined. He doesn't judge me and I always leave feeling empowered and encouraged. Thank you, Dr. Kinkead!! I have also been adjusted by Dr. Morgan a couple times, and Dr. Kris once. They're great, too. All the front desk people seem nice, but other than them telling me how many appointments I have left before the end of my "month," I'm really not interacting in a personal way with them. I want to add I and the rest of my family, husband and 2 kids, used to be a part of the Joint when they were newer to the valley for awhile, but it was too much for us to weekly go as a family. Our kids are now young adults. My daughter last year joined back up with the Joint and though the prices are a little more than quite a few years ago, it is still a deal. $79/month, and if you take advantage of the 4x/month, that's just under $20/adjustment time. They will adjust whatever is needed, so if you need more adjustments, it's included in the price. My co-pays for the chiropractor are more than $20 and I'm limited to 12 visits a year by my insurance. And if you need more than 4 visits in a month, subsequent visits are $10/visit until your monthly fee starts again. Though I'm feeling pretty good, a part of me wants to stop my visits, but I know then I'll go back to some bad habits, so coming weekly helps keep me accountable. My daughter goes to the closer to downtown Gilbert or the Power Rd locations usually. I love the Joint that I don't have to go through insurance, but I can still use my Flex Spending Acct or a Health Savings Acct can also be used for these medical expenses. Though we have really great insurance that processes claims quickly, it still does add to driving up costs to healthcare. At the Joint, they get their money upfront quickly and we get our services quickly. No needing insurance approval or processing. Way more efficient. The only paperwork you have to do is when you initially start up, and that includes if you leave for awhile the monthly program and start back up again. Not sure why people are complaining about this, as if you go to any doctor, there usually is paperwork to fill out. I know my primary care has me each year fill out stuff, but it's gotten more convenient than let's say years ago. Guess there are a lot of Karens around (sorry to anyone named Karen). No reason to treat people poorly. It is a no frills chiropractic place, which if you don't need the frills, it's great. If you don't care for a particular chiropractor, then you can use a different one or go to a different location. I had been going to a full service chiropractor for 2-3 yrs, and it was expensive. But I no longer need all those services, so the Joint really works great for me. I can be in and out of there usually within 10 minutes and I don't need to make an appointment. I go when it's convenient for me and on any day of the week. Dr. Kinkead works 5 of the 7 days, so if I want him to adjust me, then I choose during his work schedule, otherwise, it's a different chiropractor. Now, idk about some people having to wait a long time or not, but when I go, there are at least 2 chiropractors, sometimes 3. So the wait is not long. I understand some locations only have 1 usually, so that might be different, meaning there could be a little wait. It's still not long. And for those giving 1 star, more Karens. Stuff does happen. Systems go down for whatever reasons. Perhaps provide feedback on how one could improve instead of giving a 1 star for things not being perfect. I've found the treatment from EVERY SINGLE person I've dealt with at ANY of the Joints to all be friendly and professional. Of course, I am also friendly and nice. These type of people are so entitled and narcissistic, and they probably have a rotten, stinkin' attitude and looks on their faces. I feel sorry for their spouses, children, people they work with or interact with regularly to have little compassion and understanding for people. If you have some complicated situations that require chiropractic care, plus other stuff, probably the Joint isn't that great for you. read more

Very efficient location. Only one I've been to where all the tables had a chiro. Only waited a couple minutes before going back and was done quickly. So far this is my 2nd favorite location. Made an online appointment for 11:30. We were there early and needed to fill out the usual paperwork on an iPad. After 3 long attempts we were finally told that the system was down and we needed now to take the paper copy home and come back!!!this was after 40 minutes of waiting. We walked out. This was my first time visiting the joint as recommended by a friend. Everything went so smoothly and the lady at the front desk was very helpful and helped me do the paperwork which needed to be done prior to the visit. In the back, where they do the adjustments it is an open space with 3 or 4 benches where the adjustments take place. The doctor was every professional and answered all my questions and any concerns that I had. My appointment was quick and the chiropractor got all my kinks out. He focused on everything I asked him to. The best part is that you can walk in and you don't need a prior appointment. If you are concerned about the cost of chiropractic care, they have package deals which are very affordable. I already signed up for the 4 package deal where you get 4 adjustments within 30 but they can't be carried over. read more

I had a recent car accident. I was in need of an evaluation and treatment. I wanted something reasonably priced since I have to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement. I saw online they had multiple locations and maintenance plans available. It all seemed to fit well with what I needed. I scheduled the appointment online. I got in and was told there would be paperwork. The receptionist asked me if i had any recent injuries and car accident came up. I said yes. She asked how recent then said they are more of a maintenance clinic. Then she asked how severe. I wasnt sure how to answer her. Then she says she'd let the Dr's eval me and decide. I'm in the middle of the paperwork and she comes up all non chalant and tells me she spoke to the Dr's and they wont even see me and sorry. COMPLETE waste of my time. If you have those parameters, thats fine. But either put that information somewhere very visible or don't let people schedule online until after they've been seen. This is so beyond frustrating. ​I was planning on doing maintainence after this also. Not here. For a large company, you need to do better. read more

My husband went in for 1 visit has not been back since due to the covid-19 that visit paid in full. They charged our account for a new month of services that has not been used. He is currently laid off due to the covid-19 and explained that to the receptionist that at this time we can not afford to pay $69.00 if we could please have the money refunded to our account. Once everything went back to normal he would return. The receptionist stated she would talk to her manager and kept telling my husband that we are in this together easy for her to say when she has a job! Long story short she stated she fought for him but they were unable to refund our account. It is absolutely ridiculous that these people could not understand the hardship not only our family is going through but how could a business be so greedy at a time like this! I've been going to this location for about 1 1/2 yrs, and had adjustments from the resident Drs as well as those for a short interim. I always call ahead inquiring if Dr Emily is available, if so I head on over, if not I wait until the next day. She always takes the time needed and necessary to get my body in alignment. While great at what she does, she is also a happy person that greets you with a smile. I always leave feeling good and thankful she works there. read more

The providers at The Joint Chiropractic have been incredible! I first went in suffering from a migraine that had lasted 11 days. My last resort was going to the ER but decided to try getting a chiropractic adjustment on a whim. IT WORKED! The first day I went in with excruciating pain...when I left my pain had dropped down to 6/10. I went in again the following day for a secondary adjustment and have been going roughly once a week since. I still get migraines and deal with back pain from working a desk job but the frequency has dwindled and when I do have pain it is much easier to handle. The providers are always friendly and personable. They make it a point to get to know your personal situation so they can best handle your care. The cost is affordable even on a tight budget. I feel much better after just one visit. My husband hurt his back on a Friday and was seen on Sunday. He felt a little better after the first visit then he returned today and he said he feels much better. We both signed up for the wellness plan for only $69 reach, but that gives you 4 visits within the month so that equals out to $17.25 a visit... Seriously, great experience! I have been going to the chiropractor for 10 plus years. I have a very hard time getting my body to relax enough for a good adjustment and have watched chiropractors try to figure out to get my body to move. The practitioner applied the right amount of pressure for my hyper tense body and left me feeling fully adjusted and great! You know, I have been to this location a number of times. I've been treated by a majority of the doctors who have worked here and my favorites by FAR are Dr. Shakarian & Dr. Poff. The Joint in general, (i have been to quite a few clinics in Arizona) is an amazing concept. I love that I can pop into any clinic convenient to me, that I don't need an appointment, and can get a good rate for an adjustment. No x-rays, which is different, but they do a good job without. As far as pricing goes, the monthly plan is the way to go. There are other options too if you aren't into going once a week. I am not one who likes chiropractors and being touched...but I can suck it up for 5 minutes a week. My body thanks me later. I highly recommend it. read more

I'm so cracked out by the time I leave, it's amazing. It's quick, easy, and relieving. I have been to multiple Joints all over the valley, and these doctors are the best. Not only can they squeeze every last crack out of all my bones, they are friendly and personable. They always rennet me and my wife. I give The Joint 4-5 stars because if I'm not seeing Dr Aaron then I always feel like I'm being sold a visit plan as I visit by the doctors. My chiropractic needs are a "once in a while" thing for me so being flexible with coming it as I need it really helps. Dr Aaron always finds and treats where my back is disrupted at and I recommend him highly. I would definitely come see him if he had his own solo practice. The female chiropractors there are hands down my least favorite as they seem to do the same adjustment every time regardless of where I'm having issues and then gets on my case for not having a multi visit plan. Not a great experience with Dr. Chris. My wife and I are both customers of the joint in Texas, and we both got adjusted by Dr. Chris. We found both of our adjustments to be far too light handed and brief. Mine was 2.5 minutes start to finish. I asked him to go deeper on my back, because he really haven't done anything. He then just slightly hit a few spots with the actuator and, again, stated that I was done. Not including a brief five minute wait in the lobby, we were both out of there in nine minutes. Not thorough enough for our taste, and far less thorough than we are used to receiving at other joint locations. Would not recommend Dr. Chris, and I guess we'll just have to pay for an extra adjustment when we get back to Texas. read more

I've had chiropractic Care for 20 years now. In that timeframe, I've seen many chiropractors, and as such, I can truly appreciate an effective adjustment from a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Nick Poff most certainly fits that bill, in my opinion. I was actually referred to Dr. Nick by another chiropractor when I learned I was relocating back to Mesa. I trusted that referral, and hopefully, you will trust mine as well. If you're not familiar with the Joint, but you're researching options for chiropractic Care, you should definitely check out their business model. No insurance is required (or accepted) as they have their own pricing structure that is very affordable. In fact, I will stipulate that my cost per visit is actually less than what it was when I was using my insurance (with a co-pay per visit) at a different company. Don't hesitate to check out the Joint. There are numerous locations from which to choose, and they are all networked together. So you can actually walk into any location and see someone, as they have access to your charts and your account. But if you're in the Mesa area, please stop in and see Dr. Nick! read more
