I've been to a few locations and this one is a stand out, received some of the best care here. Chiropractors all take their time and really try to help each client. Not like some other locations where they try to get you off the table as fast as they can. Never waited more than 5 minutes to see a chiropractor, other locations I've waited up to 30 minutes before. The office is clean and well organized and the chiropractors are all healthy professionals with good techniques to get you feeling 100%. Popped into my nearby Surprise Joint office today and found out Dr Rich had been moved to the Waddell office off Litchfield I just got in my truck and drove straight down to his new location ! I wish I would have done more research into this place. I suppose my first tip that it was "different," was the fact that they don't set appointment times, they set "time commitment." You know, in case they're running late. I arrived early for my first appointment...sorry, time commitment slot & immediately upon entering was struck by how full the waiting room was & not a mask in sight. I approached the desk and was asked to see my ID. When I didn't hand it over, I was told, "no, I actually need it," to which I replied, "oh, you need to physically touch it? That's different than saying you need to see it." I handed over my ID & waited for the tablet to be brought to me to finish my check in. As I waited for the tablet, I looked around & became more uncomfortable. It's essentially a giant room with a partition wall that has access to the back on both sides. The 3 tables for chiropractic adjustment are in the back. There is zero privacy. I ended up leaving & telling them this wasn't for me. It was very odd. I was not expecting such a "community" setting where it's so open w/zero privacy. I had a hard enough time making this appointment to begin with, because I was reluctant about seeing a chiropractor to begin with. This type of setting definitely did not help my hesitancy to see one in the future. read more

After an injury I sustained from an employee at their Bell Rd location, I made this my home location. Everyone here is been great at adjustments. Clean and friendly location. Not as busy as other location and we are able to get in and out pretty fast. We used to have a membership, but only come on an as needed basis. read more

This place is basically a time share sales tactics. Paid $30 to basically be sold a package I didn't want. She didn't even touch me before she went into a whole life story and you will need month of treatment. Basically they will help if you agree to auto pay package plan and then they will consider touching the areas that need help. Will never return and beware of the $30 first time visit, cause guess what. That $30 is just a one hour sales pitch. Sucks cause I'm young and had little tension and just wanted to get to biz. Not sales pitch of how many times she wants to sell me. First give a good experience, I go home happy and come back. Zero done $30 gone. read more

I didn't sign up at this clinic but I started using them when I moved nearby. My original clinic was much better. But as others have said, the waiting room is always packed regardless of time of day and wait times are excessive. I've been several times but I am throwing in the towel today after waiting almost an hour for a 5 min. Adjustment and there were still two people ahead of me. This is fairly normal for this location. But I think what bugged me this time was two doctors were working and one came around and stopped the flow of patients so he could get an adjustment from the other doctor. Then they chit chatted for a while as the waiting room is full and there's an hour wait. Listen, I get needing a break but to be exchanging adjustments at that very moment is disrespectful. So with that, I got a cancellation form from my original clinic and cancelled my membership. read more

I was excited about having this near me and the first couple visits were great but the last 2 visits were upsetting and I had to just leave both times!! Both times I was sitting there waiting (which is fine you expect to wait especially if it's a busy time). What is NOT ok in my opinion is to sit there while both chiropractors decide to take their break at the same time while you have an office full of clients. I absolutely know that they definitely need to take breaks, but do like most businesses do and take turns so that the clients continue to be helped. Or if you all have to take a break at the same time then let that be know ahead of time. "Dr's on break from 2:00-2:30 or whatever so we know not to waste our time sitting there. Took my nearly 18 year old son to the Joint for the first time and was placed with Dr. Scott. He started the appointment by educating the two of us on what chiropractic care is and why it's important. He spoke to us like we were elementary school children. He was condescending and rude when my son was apprehensive about having his neck adjusted, stating "if you don't allow me to do a full body adjustment, I'll dismiss you now". That was after 40 minutes of him talking down to us and trying to sell the membership. My son and I left and will never return. At least I was able to teach my son to never allow a provider to bully you into something you're not comfortable with and that you can always walk away. read more

Sadly for me, I actually came out in more pain and discomfort, then when I went in. I told him specific areas that I was having problems with. Apparently he heard, give me more, please. The front office staff was not friendly or understanding at all and then the doctor was not friendly either Dr. Boyer she was unkind and inconsiderate and she stated that if you're in 10 out of 10 pain, you're unconscious which by definition is literally not true because if you're unconscious you're not feeling pain and if you can state that you are in 10 out of 10 pain, then you obviously can't be unconscious so I'd love to know her rationale on that but hopefully I'll never see her again. They also tell you blatantly untrue wait times. read more

I have been an active Joint member for many years. I have loved the fact that I can get to a Joint nearly anywhere I travel and be seen by competent chiropractors who can generally get me straightened out: my body can be challenging to adjust and requires extra finesse to get things into place. Some Joint locations, and doctors, provide better service and outcomes than others, as is the case with most multi location businesses. I am rethinking my choice of the Joint and am looking into other chiropractors, based on the last 6 months of service. There are rarely enough doctors available when I am needing an adjustment. The quality of my adjustments has been hit or miss, unless I wait for docs who I know can give me a good adjustment. My other option is to find out where the docs who can 'get' me are, and drive to that location, which I have done. That's not fun or convenient. I am willing to try the newer, less experienced docs, knowing that everybody starts somewhere. Again, the results can be hit or miss. One recent visit with a new doctor was so disappointing that I was credited with that visit so I could come back to see a more skilled doctor. Most recently, I attempted to visit one of the Surprise locations 3 times on one day this week, and 4 times the following day, finally getting treatment on the third day. I went into the office to check in each time, and turned back around when I discovered the wait time was going to be over 40 minutes. That's 7 times in a week where the wait time was over 40 minutes. Most people do not have that kind of time to hang out and wait. There were 2 doctors providing treatment, when 4 doctors could keep busy. One of my preferred doctors is out on medical leave, which means I have to wait for the doctor I know can provide a great adjustment, or take my chances. There are always going to be staff out with illness, family/personal emergencies, so having a doc or two who are floaters, going where they are needed, seems like a reasonable idea. The Joint concept is a good one of affordable walk-in chiropractic care for the masses, overall, as long as quality care can be provided in timely fashion. Waiting 3 or 4 days to be able to get to a doctor who can successfully adjust specific idiosyncrasies is not acceptable. This has been a regular occurrence for months, not just this week. There are other choices. I have been loyal to the Joint to this point, but I am looking elsewhere. read more

Dr. Alvarez is absolutely amazing. I have never had a chiropractor help me so much and have been going to them for a decade. I had a really bad fall in 2014 and didn't break anything but half my body is out of alignment constantly from it. I had a shoulder out of place for years and didn't know. Once she put it back in I had immediate relief & got back range of motion I didn't even know I had been missing. She fixed some ribs out of place that have given me discomfort since my fall that no other chiropractor took the time to do for me. I will only go to her. She's thorough and takes her time. I also appreciate that she doesn't adjust my neck hard the way a lot of males do. 10/10. I appreciate her kindness and all she has done for me. Thank you Dr. Alvarez! read more

Dr. Scott is great, he is truly a master of his profession. Every time I visit Dr. Scott, I leave feeling like new again! I suffer from upper, and lower back pain, shoulder stiffness and neck problems. I have been to many chiropractors, and never truly found one that actually "fixes" me. Dr. Scott and the Joint never disappoint. Don't listen to the Karen's and Snowflakes that post reviews here, if you're in pain and you want it gone, give this place a shot. Remember, these people are doctors not mind readers, so you have to be honest and let them know where your pain is. Keep up the good work! read more

The Offie staff at the Waddell and Litchfield location In Surprise Az, was completely unprofessional, unhelpful, and lacked the number one customer service rule on Thursday Dec. 14th at 5:30pm. After 12 months of going to this location and being treated like me and my time matters by letting me know the approx. wait time before I can be seen. On this night I went in, swiped my card and asked how long the wait was, the girls just looked away and said nothing, I asked again, "how long is the wait?" Again, they just blinked and looked away, I couldn't believe it, these same girls were always completely polite and full of information, so I asked if they were ok......maybe the place was being held up, maybe they were having a mental problem, like an emergency. They said they were fine, I asked again what the wait time was, they replied that they are not allowed to give anyone a wait time because there had been some customers that came back after the wait time that was given and they were told they had wait longer, and because it was taking time away from duties they are supposed to be doing. I replied that this sounds like a training problem, not a customer problem. They said no the training is fine and continued to look away as if I did not exist. I asked if they would still call me, they said NO, they weren't allowed to do that either, I asked what I was expected to do? Was I expected to sit in the front office? They bluntly said Yes. As I observed, these girls kept looking in the back and leaving the podium, something I had not observed before. So my take away is that they just removed customer service and replaced it with continuously leaving the front desk and ignoring customers. So, they expect people to sit in uncomfortable chairs in the overcrowded lobby and stare at all the advertising that says come here to relieve stress that causes sickness, release worries, be the best You that you can be by coming to The Joint. Yet they don't take reservations, they aren't allowed to use obvious resolve called communication by giving out approx. wait times and explaining or displaying that they are "APPROX. TIMES." They take hours sometimes and want to crowd everyone up or there's a threat you may lose your spot. Who is running the customer service training here? This is simple as pie to fix. How about get a scrolling board showing each person's place in the line up? This couldn't cost but pennies, shoot I'll donate the monitors to hang and I'll donate the one time fee for the software. Or, how about use one of your printers and print out some signs explaining the APPROX. WAIT TIME and give out the approx. wait time again? Better yet, if the training department wants to turn their front desk staff into robots, how about have an app that people can see when their turn is coming up and have the option to get themselves over there or lose their turn. Shame on this company, whomever is in charge of training, they need some training themselves in customer service.......like what they had less than a week ago.......customer service that set them apart from the new robot rudeness. Let me know and I"ll kick the money and time to train some customer service, it'll only take 8 hours and The Joint will be back the way it was and better. read more

Dr Scott's attitude completely discouraged me from signing up. Today was my first visit and without a doubt I need to be seeing a chiro frequently (bad car accident and constant pain), but with comments like "obviously you didn't read our mission statement"..."well then why did you come in at all today" (just bc I said I wasn't avail at the end of next week bc my sister gets married)..."you may feel good you may not after today"... has completely made the decision easy to go somewhere else. I'll be signing up to see a chiro but it won't be here at this office or with this Dr that is condescending and sarcastic!! What an awful visit!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place!! Luz at the front desk always interacts with my daughter who is 3 and is always so friendly. Dr. Keszler is awesome !!! I always feel 100% better when i leave. I used to have frequent head aches, issues sleeping and constant back pain. These issues still arise occasionally but it is no longer a common thing for me to have. I attribute this to the care i have been receiving from the joint. I would highly recommend it to everyone!!! My whole family including my 3 year old daughter now gets adjusted every week! Also the wellness plan makes payments easy. read more

Needed a chiropractor for back and leg pain, I went to The Joint and the first visit went pretty good I was with the chiropractor for about 15-20 mins, second visit it took them like 2 minutes in and out in no time, i guess the treat you good on the first visit just to enroll you on their monthly program, after that get used to really short visits, on my second visit i hear the chiropractor talking with a new patient and he told him exactly what he told me word for word like in my first visit, we need to see you about 4 times per week the first 2 weeks, then 2-3 times for the next 2-3 weeks then 2 then ones per month. Will see how it goes but im not that happy with the treatment i got on my second visit he just adjust my neck and my lower back and thats it!! read more

The Joint's business model is pretty great, because it's walk-in only and their prices are very reasonable. But Dr. Scott's bedside manner is completely offputting. He says the "right" things but feels condescending and arrogant. But my biggest complaint is that THE DOCTORS DON'T WEAR MASKS. We're at the worst point during the pandemic, and the doctors don't even make an attempt to fake it. They literally just don't wear masks at all. Obviously I'm not going back. Regardless of what your personal feelings are about face coverings, there are city-wide and county mandates that the business should be following. Instead, they're just putting their customers at risk. They say, "Your health is our priority." Obviously not. read more

Honestly this place was pretty great at first but whoever they had working today was not making sure people were wearing their masks inside the office. She let them come in and sit down without masks on. That's just disgusting and horrible. How do you have a sign on your door saying wear a mask and you allow people to come in without one? I just started going to the joint. I was very leary at first, not sure what to expect. But Dr. Schweger is amazing! He makes you feel comfortable and definitely makes you feel better. You can tell he genuinely cares about your well being. The clinic is clean and I have never waited more than 5 mins in the waiting room. My whole visit usually takes about 20 min. I've canceled my membership and the continue to take money out of my account . So if you want to deal with something like this be my guest but they don't tell you you have to pay for 6 months, nor does it say it in the paperwork. I lost my job due to Covid-19 and couldn't afford to pay and told me they forfeited my membership and each month they still continue to take it. And I have to wait days for a refund. Now I'm going to be overdrawn again AND COST MORE MONEY THAT I HAD TO EVEN BEGIN WITH. Edit-Finally spoke to someone but have to wait another 5 days for a refund. I visited the Litchfield & Waddell location today for the first time. It was pretty busy, which I was hoping I didn't have to wait long. I waited about 20 minutes but not discouraged by it as I knew they were busy. You could also tell the Dr's in the back we're spending time with each patient which is good. I was seen by Dr. Scott, I gave him a hug when I seen him because he used to be at the Lake Pleasant location roughly 7-8 years ago. That was the first location I had been to & he was the first Dr. I had seen. I was always happy with his adjustments & he was always so happy & personable, just a chill guy. I was pleased to see him & received the great adjustment I remember. Walked out feeling better again! I noticed Dr. Tyler there as well, with another patient & was happy to see him too! I've had several visits with him when he was at the Bell & Litchfield location & he's great too! read more

Her response when I checked in was "well I can't even find your account, it will be at least a 45 minute wait at this point" and she said it so rude too! The docs are amazing.But I'd personally recommend Dr. Bradley. He listens to your needs and adjust based off your needs. He is so friendly and easy to talk to. I've seen many chiropractors and as long as I live in Arizona, he will always be my go to guy. he tends to be in several offices, so if you text him, he will always let you know where he will be if you need to get in. I am highly satisfied with my experience at this location, they are a very good value compared to what you would originally pay for another chiropractor. The first visit is $29.00, the their wellness plan is $69.00, which comes out to be $10 per visit (7 visits) They were extremely gentle with me considering I have an ostomy on my right side. I was feeling much better after the first visit! I highly recommend this place to anyone with neck and back problems! read more
